If you are using v17, pg_createsubscriber. There is also the equivalent in pglogical for previous versions. It transforms a physical replica into a logical replica.

I don't think pg_basebackup require for logical replication.

- pg_basebackup with stream mode and then set replication with copy_date=true?

Hi All, any help here would appreciate it.
Have written an insert query to a table with join between 2 tables based on parameters from both tables. Able to populate data when manual insertion is triggered. But somehow unable to populate the same value using function trigger by passing the common parameters.

Don't. Logical reolication requires a lot of concepts and algorithmic work to function. You're not even close to understanding them.
So, just don't.

Or, maybe, start training with small examples and simple abstract tutorials on that topic.

Also, I should note that logical replication requires you to be an architect and programmer of the programming system that uses it. It cannot just do useful work for a third-party database like physical replication.
