When this game came out I remember watching all the so called "anti-woke" liberal gamers who do anti-sjw gaming critiques make excuses for why this isn't bad.

"it's only a small part of the game, it's only a couple characters, it's not that big of a deal" they'd say, acting like this isn't "woke" and claiming the race swap barely matters.

As usual they were terrified to touch on racial stuff, primarily focusing on gender/sex dynamics or lgbt concepts.

The reality is this character is actually a really big deal, as she's one of the last giants, Atreus is half giant and half God, meaning the only way to preserve the giant species is a union between them.

During the long questline with this character she is set up as his primary love interest, he tries to give her a flower, they watch fireflies at sunset together, etc.

There's constant foreshadowing hinting at her being a recurring character, everything pointing at her being included in future games.

All so Kratos can have black grandchildren.
