Project on GitHub: https://github.com/eszdman/PhotonCamera Report all problems with app in issues on GitHub.
With a sane OEM that really cares about the integration, these would completely disable any tonemapping except the one you select

Hopefully also for chroma denoising, otherwise I don't see why one would take it over raw

Well, at least they updated it, the screenshot I sent I remember George asked to enter the codec and didn't have p210

I added hardware encoding to my RAW editor

SW is much simpler though since you can do writebacks with different formats

Again, apv and 8EliteGen5 on the 17U doesn't have 4:2:2, so yeah it will depend on the OEM implementation

another camera [wide], another noise model, another light conditions..
Why? You also don't sacrifice color for still images (though smartphone JPEGs go the 4:2:0 route).
From point of data amount the difference is not an issue.
Technically it is no problem at least for binned resolutions.
It is an artificial separation of amateurs to semi and full professional audience.
I also wish 10 bit still image format with HW will finally be standard (Qualcomm high end SoCs could do it already for a long time in form of HEIC). Lazy vendors all around busy copying each other...
there's no point in talking about what is needed and by whom, because each individual user is, in most cases, simply subjective. EVEN HE IS A PROFESSIONAL!
all we are discussing here are just specific problems that arise when using the application on various devices.
this is just feedback for developers in its most pathetic form.
photographers and videographers - its too abstract.
here - group with 1528 members.
after just 2-3 polls, you can see that your reality is as subjective as anyone else's.
I've just highlighted what I believe most photographers/videographers want and need

The API is very much alright, it's SoC vendor's and OEM's choice what to expose in the end. From the cool stuff the API has and I've seen implemented by no OEM yet: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/hardware/camera2/CameraMetadata#TONEMAP_MODE_PRESET_CURVE

Oh, so it was only missing in the first screenshots we got ?

While HW expects a specific time of format to work

Even the SW implementation (limited in resolution) has it

Anything to prove that? What is the source of this statement?

It's not mine, I'm Xiaomi free but someone had shared it so I knew what they were searching

I thought ur not getting xiaomi anymore? Or this isnt ur screenshot

You need to calm down buddy, you sound very angry and extremely condescending for what?, whats the issue?

I don't think you understood what I said, I said want and NEED, if you want to sit here and argue that all the members don't want higher quality photo output and video output with better denoise all built in one app that has a decent ui design, then you are clearly just arguing to argue (ego) lol

and I know Google tru their camera2api is making most of these things I've highlighted very hard or impossible to implement in an android camera app
