A man who was deported from Sweden after being denied political asylum has been detained in Belarus, Sveriges Radio reports. He arrived in the country with his mother two years ago and applied for asylum because they both took part in protests in 2020. In Belarus, as indicated in the submitted documents, a criminal case was opened against them.
