Sikorsky has signed a major contract with the Pentagon to supply UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to Australia, Brazil, Greece, Sweden and Thailand worth $1.24 billion. Funding was provided through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, a government-to-government program. Deliveries for all contracts are expected to be completed by December 2027.
The Australian Army has ordered 40 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, with deliveries already underway. In a statement today, the Australian Department of Defence said: “The Army is actively integrating the UH-60M fleet into service, with crews already flying more than 1,400 hours since the aircraft arrived in 2023 in preparation for operational readiness.” Australia has received 10 UH-60M helicopters since August 2023, with a further two expected to be delivered in November 2024. All 40 helicopters are expected to be delivered by 2030, with the fleet set to reach initial operational capability soon, the ministry added.

Vladimir Putin has denied Serbian President Vucic ceasefire proposal in Ukraine, Bloomberg reports.
As reported by the publication, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic raised the issue of a ceasefire in the conflict in Ukraine during their first telephone conversation in more than two years.
According to the Serbian president, during the conversation he voiced the idea of a ceasefire in Ukraine, but "Putin did not seem to be interested in it."
"All the goals of the special military operation will be achieved," the Russian president said in response to the ceasefire proposal.
The Kremlin dismissed the Financial Times report that Russia and Ukraine are discussing a suspension of attacks on energy infrastructure as “fabrications.” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that such publications have no basis in reality and criticized reputable outlets for promoting these narratives.
