The 13th GRAU arsenal was attacked at night in the village of Kotovo in the Novgorod region, local residents report
Photos and videos, allegedly from the village of Kotovo in the Okulovsky district of the Novgorod region, appeared on the night of November 19-20 in local chats. Explosions, gunfire and flashes are heard and seen in the footage, ASTRA noted. Videos from other settlements in the region have also appeared. However, the authenticity of the footage has not yet been confirmed by ASTRA journalists. Local residents claim that the attack was aimed at a military base. In Kotovo, there are hangars with ammunition from the 13th GRAU arsenal. The governor did not confirm the attack on the arsenal:
“Several unmanned aerial vehicles were detected and destroyed over the Novgorod region by the air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Law enforcement and security agencies are working on the scene. There are no victims or injured,” the head of the region wrote at 3 a.m.
The day before, Ukrainian sources and the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had for the first time struck a target inside Russia with long-range American ATACMS missiles — an arsenal in Karachev, Bryansk Oblast. (The 67th GRAU arsenal (military unit 55443, the Defense Ministry simply called it a “facility”). The Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that the arsenal in Bryansk Oblast had been hit, but did not specify what exactly was used to strike.
ASTRA has found out that at least 8 residential buildings were damaged in Karachevsky District, Bryansk Oblast, during yesterday’s attack. In addition to the 67th GRAU arsenal, the local VEZA ventilation plant was attacked.
The Pentagon's deputy spokeswoman said that the US does not see any signs that Russia is preparing to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, reports Ostap Yarysh.
