Funds allocated for the “Patriot” park were instead used to build a dacha, a bathhouse, and a garage for former Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Popov.
“On a plot of land belonging to Popov’s son in one of the gardening cooperatives (SNT) near Moscow, a two-story residential house and a one-story guest house (bathhouse) were built and fully equipped using funds intended for the development of the ‘Patriot’ park. The buildings were completed ‘turnkey’ — including interior finishes, furniture, plumbing, etc.,” stated the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office.
In addition, a two-story garage was constructed on the property. The total amount spent was around 26 million rubles. However, the documents falsely listed the construction as work carried out within the territory of the park.

Developer of unmanned air taxis Ivan Antsev made an emergency landing with his son on the A-120 highway near St. Petersburg — the light aircraft “Chaika L-44M” landed in a ditch near the village of Tamengont.
They were flying from Valaam Island to the village of Gostilitsy. According to Mash, there were three people on board: two adults and a 10-year-old child. The aircraft was privately owned and recreational. Preliminary reports suggest that one of the engines failed, and the pilot decided to land directly on the highway.

Flights were suspended at Bergamo-Orio al Serio Airport in northern Italy after a person reportedly ran onto the tarmac and was sucked into a plane’s engine, according to local media.

Russia expands military presence in Armenia amid rising tensions with Azerbaijan
According to Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR), Russia is ramping up its military presence in Armenia, particularly speeding up the reinforcement of its military base in Gyumri.
This comes as tensions escalate between Moscow and Baku. Personnel for the base is reportedly being recruited from Rostov, Volgograd regions, and occupied Crimea.
GUR also claims that Russia is seeking volunteers among ethnic groups from the North Caucasus, especially in North Ossetia and Adygea.
The agency believes that the deterioration of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan may have been planned in advance by the Kremlin.
