On my pixel
When I enable my bluetooth
It barely gets automatically connected

Mostly I have to go to toggle and long press it open and then select manually

Is this common or is it something I can do which makes it automatically get connected.

Should I enable bluetooth services to fix this ?

🔒 Google Plans Major Crackdown in Early 2026: Modified Devices Will Lose Access

The Android customization community faces a looming threat.

Silicon Valley, California Starting in early 2026, Google is expected to launch a large-scale internal operation that could mark the end of custom ROMs, rooted phones, and other system-level modifications. According to multiple leaks from development circles and OEM insiders, Google is developing a new enforcement system designed to detect and block modified devices from accessing critical services, including Google apps, financial platforms, and even SIM activation.

This initiative currently under wraps has reportedly been in development since late 2024, and aims to tighten control over the Android ecosystem using hardware-based verification and server-side enforcement mechanisms.

🚫 What Will Be Blocked?

Access to Google services: Gmail, Google Play, YouTube, Drive, and more.

Mobile banking and e-wallet apps: Will refuse to operate on devices with unlocked bootloaders or modified kernels.

System-level APIs: Like Play Integrity and SafetyNet, will become non-optional.
Firmware support and OTA updates: Will be withheld for flagged devices.

Carrier connectivity: In some regions, SIM activation may be denied for unverified phones.


⚠️ Why This Is Different

Unlike previous restrictions most of which could be bypassed with tools like Magisk, Zygisk, or SafetyNet fix modules this new system is said to be backed by hardware-level security protocols (Trusted Execution Environment and StrongBox) and real-time server attestation that will be nearly impossible to spoof or bypass.

The system will run regular integrity checks in the background and silently report violations to Google’s servers. Devices that fail these checks will be gradually blacklisted.
