Some of you have started to claim your NFTs from Aldrin staking and having fun with that. At a certain point in the future the staking program will change, but for now you are still able to stake.
In regards to the NFTs you are receiving you might have noticed that they are “landing zones” not the actual ships and components themselves. This is because our Magic Eden launch was delayed further due to marketing and current market sentiment. So we will tell you a little about the NFTs you have received. 🎁
The “dropzone” NFTs are just a target for the future airdrop that will happen AFTER we have minted on Magic Eden. This is to make sure your NFTs are genuine on the same contract and immediately tradable. You can send these dropzone NFTs to any other wallet, but the official NFTs will be sent to the same location. 🪂🪂🪂
I’m regards to the Magic Eden mint, we are collating the whitelists and preparing for the marketing for all of that, but we will of course update you with more details as it approaches.

Lots of fud in the chat these days so lets clear somethings up.
Continuing the way we were going with development in Unreal 5 it became apparent that the engine was not going to be able to give us the experiences we were trying to create. The engine looks very pretty in trailers rendered on high spec computers! But the technology was still under development itself, so we were constantly waiting for updates to the engine, bug fixes etc, which slowed everything we were trying to do down. Making the hard decision to switch to Unity 2 years into development was not easy but also Unreal 5 was simply not going to work for a vr game like the one we are trying to build.
If you need evidence of this, consider the following.
1. There are no vr games currently in Unreal 5.
2. Apple decided to partner with Unity to deliver their XR experiences.
Ultimately the choice had to be made between putting the project on hold until we can retool in Unity (which is much better suited for VR) or ending the project. We chose to survive and build another day.
We made a post on Medium that goes into some detail on the pivot.
In terms of more news we can't share much more at this point but our exeriments in Unity have been very promising and we will share updates when we can.
Nobody expected making a game at the intersection of two highly experimental technologies was going to be easy but we are still here and still building in the shadows. We are not ready to resume marketing and noise just yet as our limited time is best spent on doing what counts: making games.

For those that are interested, basically there is an issue with the serum node that reports information about the blockchain to the claimer so if it fails it's reporting zero balances sometimes, which is not the case.
