Apparently a lot of you don't know what MEV Bots (aka Sandwich Bots) are...

That's a serious problem as they can be the difference between you making a lot of money, and getting absolutely rekt - no matter what time and point in the chart the trade is done.

Why are they called Sandwich Bots? 🥪
Because they get traders stuck between in/out transactions by frontrunning their buys/sales and pushing price on the opposite direction that the trader intended.

The most common ones are in buys: they buy before you, pushing price up. Then you buy at the new higher price, and then they sell their entire position immediately after your buy, bringing chart back to correct price.

When the bot is trading lots of capital they can push the price many %s and make you buy at a horrible temporary price. Inversely, there are also selling sandwich bots, that crash the price before someone sells and then buys back in for much cheaper than before.

Solana is still very early so there aren't many tools to avoid this yet. But fortunately, both Bonkbot and Solana Trading Bot already have the Anti-MEV option that will protect you from this hungry mfers.

A ETH native friend made this awesome thread about MEV bots but the same logic applies to SOL. Crypto never slows down and neither should you. Never stop learning! 🤓
