Faith and Hope!

It takes faith to activate our hope!

Hoping for something and believing that something is actually going to happen are two different things!

Hope — to cherish a desire with anticipation : to want something to happen or be true.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Hope can also mean trust in the Biblical sense! But Biblical hope is trusting that what God has said is true is true, and what He said He will do, He will do! This kind of hope is mixed with faith!

Hope — to expect with confidence : desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment.

Psalm 38:15
For in Thee, O LORD, do I hope: Thou wilt hear, O LORD my God.

Psalm 119:114
Thou art my Hiding Place and my Shield: I hope in Thy Word.

We must not only hope something, we must believe it as well!

Mark 9:23
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Mark 10:27
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Matthew 13:58
And He (Jesus) did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

The Holy Spirit in the life of a child of God, will produce not only hope, but faith, and belief!

Romans 5:2-5
By Whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Is there something the LORD has promised in His Word that you say you believe, or something you feel He’s spoken to you, that you so want to believe, but your hope in that thing is not mixed with faith?

Hebrews 4:1-2
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

The LORD spoke these words to my heart years ago when going through a time of darkness — Anticipate Joy! He has recently reminded me of these words, and added this — So much Joy! Again this morning He impressed this upon my heart!

He desires to give His good gifts to His children! It brings Him pleasure to do so!

When we seek Him first — He adds everything we need to our lives, and more than we need! He desires to give us what will bring — So much Joy! First, and finally — He desires to give us life eternal in His Kingdom!

Luke 12:31-32
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Will you trust the LORD that what He has promised — He will do? Will you mix your hope with faith? Will you anticipate Joy?

Hebrews 12:1-2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; Who for the JOY that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Believe Him now before you see the fulfillment of His promises! Anticipate the “so much Joy” He has in store for you beloved!

Substance — Is the thing He’s promised! Faith — Makes it reality!

When we believe that He will fulfill His promises even though we don’t see them materializing yet, we demonstrate true faith. Jesus said these Words to Thomas the doubter!

John 20:29
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Hi Dave,

I have a praise report for you.

I haven't cleaned my humidifier for a while. Yesterday afternoon, I cleaned it thoroughly. I put water into the humidifier at night, turned it on. No vapor came out it. Turned it off, and on again. Still no vapor. Unplugged it, went to do something else. Came back after a while, plugged it into the outlet, turned it on, still no vapor. Since it was late already, I didn't try to check it. I went to bed without humidifier on.

This morning I woke up with an voice talking to my mind that I should pray for the humidifier. I got distracted by something else and didn't do it right away. Later in the afternoon, I went to my bedroom decided to pray for the humidifier. I asked the Holy Spirit to fix the humidifier through my prayer and my hand, laid my hand on it, commended it be fixed. After my prayer, I turned it on, the vapor gushed out.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Our Father!

You may or may not have had a Godly father in your life. If you did you are blessed! The role of a father is so very important in the life of a child!

So many who did not have a father in their life, have fallen into sin, searching to have that void filled by something or someone else!

I thank God for those fathers who love their children and train them up in the nurture of the LORD, and His Word!

Ephesians 6:4
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the LORD.

The Word says we are to honor our parents! That doesn’t mean that the things they do will always be honorable, but we are to honor their place in our lives!

Honoring our earthly parents is the first commandment we are given that includes a promise! That promise is a long life on this earth!

Exodus 20:12
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Ephesians 6:2-3
Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

I did not have an earthly father present in my life, and because of this, I struggled in many areas. I had to learn that where my dad failed in his role, my Father in heaven could fill that void!

His Word tells us that even if we are abandoned by our earthly parents, He will take care of us!

Psalm 27:8-14
When Thou saidst, Seek ye My face; my heart said unto Thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not Thy face far from me; put not Thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. Teach me Thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Beloved — You have a Father who loves you dearly! He will never leave you or forsake you! He is always right beside you, caring for you!

He is to be revered, because He is Almighty God; but He is also our tender, loving, and caring Father! A Father who loved us so much, He sent Jesus to die for our sins, so we could be reconciled to Him!

Jesus told His disciples to pray, “Our Father which art in heaven.” He gave us an example of praying to His Father in heaven, and as we’ve seen, it was vitally important for Him to take time away to do so, as it is for us!

Luke 11:2
And He said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

The LORD would also remind us today, that our eyes are not to be on any person on this earth! Yes, we honor our parents, and have special days set aside to do so — But it is only our Father in heaven who we are to follow!

Man will fail us, and if our eyes are on men, when they falter, and fall, our faith will be shaken, and some will even fall!

It is so important to keep our eyes on our Father in heaven! When everything, and everyone, that can be shaken is — We will stand firm in our faith in Him!

Hebrews 12:25-27
See that ye refuse not Him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused Him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from Him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now He hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this Word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Our Father!

Hi Dave,

My daughter, who has PTSD, had a breakthrough yesterday. She is a long-time Christian who became very angry with God when her baby died at birth 17 years ago, followed by her oldest son and his wife turning away from their Christian upbringings. Yesterday, she was convinced that salvation is the most important thing. She asked God for her salvation back, followed by asking His deliverance. He quickly granted both. The third step is total healing.

You have prayed for her. I didn't realize she had walked away from God or that she needed deliverance. I am looking forward to her total healing.

This is a huge breakthrough. God's promises of salvation, deliverance, and healing. Thank you for everything.

Hello Dave,

I have a testimony:

For years God has been training me to calm storms. Today, the weather channel reported there would be a thunderstorm with high winds and hail. It would be 2 hours later when it tried to raise up, but I had already spoken to it a couple of hours prior. When I speak to it, I rebuke the winds and command the storm to Shalom, be still. I tell it that it will not act up, but it will reduce itself to a gentle rain shower and a gentle breeze, otherwise to dissipate altogether. I tell the waters there will be no water damage/floods and they will not exceed the boundaries God set for them, and I tell the lightening it shall not cause damage, no hail damage, no power outages or any other damage.

Usually it will obey immediately or , within minutes it will either be a gentle rain with breeze, or sometimes within less than 30 min it will dissipate.

So, today while I was speaking to it (it obeyed), I believe the Holy Spirit gave me a revelation word and instructed me to speak to the storm in my physical body and soul the same way I speak to weather storms. I have been diagnosed with so many ailments that have created so many symptoms, I now see it as a storm against my body, also causing distress (a storm) in my soul. I obeyed and began to command the storm against my body and soul. I haven't seen results yet, but I believe I soon will, because He has given me the faith, through experience, to calm weather storms. A storm is a storm is a storm. The Word of God is the solution.

I listen to your prayers nightly and throughout the night as I sleep. I have done this since last year (2023). At some point, the storm will obey and will dissipate in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
I'm interested in your thoughts on this revelation I received today.

A Clean House!

My friend told me the story of an aunt who was so particular about how the outside of her home appeared to those passing by!

The grass must be cut, the flowers perfect, and the white picket fence just right! But, he said the inside of her house was filled with clutter, and such a mess!

Are we like this aunt? Do we have an outward appearance that does not match our inward condition?

The Pharisee’s were like this, and this is what Jesus said to them! He said to first clean the inside!

Matthew 23:25-28
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

We are all sinners, but thanks be to God, He has made a way for us to be cleansed on the inside!

When we are born again, He washes our sins away, and cleanses us from our unrighteousness!

Ephesians 5:26-27
That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

There are many who have only the appearance of being His child! They use His Name, even claiming to do works by His power, but they aren’t really His! The inside of their hearts are unchanged!

Chronicles and Ezekiel tell us about these people who are called by His Name — But whose houses and hearts are not clean on the inside!

2 Chronicles 29:15-16
And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and came, according to the commandment of the king, by the Words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD. And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD.

We may fool others with our white picket fence and flowers, and with our freshly mowed lawn, but we will never fool the LORD!

Let’s look again at the story in Ezekiel! The people claiming they were serving the LORD only thought their sin was hidden from Him!

The Spirit of the LORD took Ezekiel to show him what was hidden, even in the ‘imagery’ or minds of the people! He showed them just how the inside of their house or heart was filled with horrific abominations! These were things that they thought were hidden from God!

Let’s take the time to read all of this story!

Ezekiel 8:3-18
And He put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain. Then said He unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from My sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. And He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. Then said He unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And He said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.

Israel was protected by a weapon located at a large vertical crack in a wall. The weapon seemed intelligent and autonomous. It would kill enemies that attacked by emitting flashes of light. The weapon would go dormant for long periods of time, and people would forget about it. But whenever Israel was attacked, it would awaken and wipe out the attackers.

Solitude!

Jesus often took time to go alone to a place of solitude to pray!

Mark 1:35
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, He went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Matthew 14:23
And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, He was there alone.

Luke 5:16
And He withdrew Himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

Jesus is our example, and He shows us the importance of taking time alone with our Father to pray and to receive from Him!

It was after Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for forty days, and tempted by Satan, that the Word of Gods says that He returned from the wilderness in the power of the Spirit!

Mark 1:12
And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.

Luke 4:13-15
And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of Him through all the region round about. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

These times of solitude were not just for a few minutes, or even an hour! Everywhere Jesus went, He did so by walking, and it takes time to do that!

Have you made solitude, and prayer, a part of your life? Taking time away will give us a different perspective, and help us see more clearly! It will give us His point of view!

Luke 6:12
And it came to pass in those days, that He went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

When we are constantly busy, or with others, it’s hard to focus on hearing from the LORD! We are so easily distracted!

It was on the deserted island of Patmos where John received His revelations!

Revelation 1:9-10
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the Word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the LORD’S day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet.

Solitude is a vital, but neglected discipline! And it’s no wonder the enemy would keep us from it, for it is there our relationship with the LORD is strengthened, and His Spirit in us more fully recognized and released!

We also need times of rest, and renewal! Times we simply wait on the LORD in prayer, sitting and listening to His voice!

I believe Isaiah describes what comes from these times of waiting beautifully!

saiah 40:28-31
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Beloved, will you determine to make it a practice, to take time away to commune with your Father in heaven on a regular basis? Whether this be for a few moments, a few hours, or even a few days?

You may think you don’t have time for solitude, but once you see how beneficial the effects of this time away is, you will find the time!

Out Of Them All!

We live in this world with all its problems and evil, so we can’t help but encounter troubles as we live our lives! But we have His promises to sustain us!

When we cry out to the LORD in our affliction — He will deliver us! How many times will He answer our cry? Will He become weary of us crying out to Him? No, He says He will deliver us out of them all, and as often as we call!

Psalm 34:17-19
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 107:19-20
Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saveth them out of their distresses. He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Psalm 121:1-4
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The only time He will not hear is when we turn away from Him, or continue in sin!

Psalm 66:18-20
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me: But verily God hath heard me; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.

Isaiah 59:1-4
Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

Paul writes to the church at Corinth and to Timothy, his son in the faith about all the things he had endured and about the deliverance of the LORD! He tells him that all who will live Godly lives will be persecuted, and afflicted!

2 Corinthians 11:24-33
Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. The God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

Paul went through so much, and many other believers who have gone before us did as well!

I’m certain, that like me you have gone through many difficulties so far in your life, but I like Paul, and David, can testify — The LORD has brought me through each one!

2 Timothy 3:11-12
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the LORD delivered me. Yea, and all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Before He departed from the earth, Jesus spoke these Words to His disciples!

He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Beloved, is your house clean on the inside? Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior, yet you are living a double life? Saying you are His child — But continuing in sins that you think no one sees?

He sees all! Nothing is hidden from the LORD! Ask Him to search your heart and show you the unclean things in you, and when He does confess your sins and turn away from them! Pray the prayer David prayed!

Psalm 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

He will cleanse us from our sins when we confess them, but we can’t just keep on sinning willfully expecting His grace! We must turn from away from our sins! As He told the woman at the well, He tells us — Go and sin no more!

1 John 1:7-10
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.

Jesus is returning for a bride that is clean inside and out!

2 Peter 3:14
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Philippians 2:15-16
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the Word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

A clean house is important! Make sure yours is clean, and you’re ready for His return!

Dave prayed for my shoulder 6 months ago.
After he prayed for me, I went and had another test done and the Dr. said there was considerable healing that took place in 10 days! and that I only had a partial tear when the previous test showed a complete tear in my supraspinatus. They wanted to do shoulder surgery, 4 anchors and wire! 6-8 month painful recovery....
I opted for prayers and prp...

I just had my 6 mo check up and the ultrasound imaging showed a completely in tact supraspinatus!!
