Keep Walking!

When you’re going through a struggle in your life that seems insurmountable — keep going!

When what lies ahead of you seems too difficult to face — keep moving forward one step at a time!

This Psalm comes to my mind often, especially the Words about the LORD walking with us, even through the valley of the shadow of death!

Psalm 23:1-6
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

There is such comfort in knowing that no matter what happens in our lives, no matter how unpredictable the future is, one thing is sure — He will be there with us!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness.

He is our ever faithful, unchanging God! He promises to be with us from the beginning of our lives, to the end! And for those who are His children through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, for eternity!

Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.

He will walk with you through the hour of trial that is coming to test all that are on the earth!

That doesn’t mean, He will remove you from the trials beloved, but that He will be with you from start to finish!

Revelation 3:10
Because thou hast kept the Word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The verb here is "I will keep", "ek" is translated "from", and the time period is "the hour of trial". The understanding then is that God will keep us, from the beginning of the hour of trial onwards.

When I was a teen, I had a poster in my room that said — Faith is walking to the edge of all the light you have and taking one more step!

Beloved brothers and sisters, whatever you’re facing, He is with you, and He promises He will never leave you or fail you, so don’t be afraid to walk forward even in the dark!

Deuteronomy 31:8
And the LORD, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

CHAPTER 14
KNOWING THE ENEMEY
1 Peter 5:8

As believers, it is essential to know who our enemy is and understand his intentions. The Bible makes it clear that our greatest adversary is the devil, whose mission is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Recognizing his tactics enables us to protect ourselves, our integrity, and our spiritual walk.

The devil’s intention is clear. He seeks to steal what God has given us, our joy, hope, gifts, and purpose. By taking away what strengthens and sustains us, he aims to render us weak and vulnerable. But he doesn’t stop there. He moves on to kill. Whether it’s our dreams, passions, or relationships, his goal is to leave us powerless and ineffective for the kingdom of God. Finally, the enemy seeks to destroy us completely, both spiritually and emotionally. His ultimate desire is to render our lives and ministries null and void, erasing any legacy we might leave for God’s glory.

Understanding the devil’s intentions helps us take every attack seriously, no matter how subtle it may seem. He prowls like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour, and we must be on alert, sober in spirit, and vigilant in guarding our hearts and minds. The truth of God’s Word equips us to recognize and resist the enemy’s schemes.

It is also vital to distinguish between those who are deceivers and those who are simply deceived. A deceiver intentionally spreads lies and causes harm, while someone who is deceived may be well-meaning but lacks the truth. In these moments, we need spiritual discernment to respond wisely and graciously. God’s truth, found in His Word, is the ultimate standard for exposing deception and guiding our responses.

Today, ask yourself: Am I alert to the enemy’s tactics? Are there areas of my life where I have allowed him to steal, kill, or destroy? Seek God’s protection, immerse yourself in His Word, and trust His guidance as you navigate spiritual battles. Remember, the victory is already won in Christ, and His truth will always prevail.

REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS:

1. Recognizing the Enemy: Are you aware of areas in your life where the enemy might be working to steal, kill, or destroy? How can you guard against his schemes?
2. Staying Alert: How can you remain vigilant and sober-minded in protecting your heart and mind from the enemy’s attacks?
3. Responding with Truth: In what ways can you rely on God’s Word to expose deception and guide your responses to spiritual challenges?
4. Victory in Christ: How does the assurance of victory through Christ give you strength and confidence to face spiritual battles?

And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed My voice: why have ye done this? Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

It’s important for us to remember what this Word says will happen when we make ungodly alliances!

Back to Asa’s story where we see that though he is remembered overall as a good and faithful king, his later life shows a lack of trust in the LORD that led to his death!

2 Chronicles 16:2-14
Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Ben–hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. And Ben–hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel–maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali. And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease. Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.

Asa is rebuked for turning to the King of Syria! The war was lost because Asa had relied on someone other than the LORD!

[7] And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

Hanani reminded King Asa that when he trusted in the LORD he was given success!

[8] Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, He delivered them into thine hand.

When we are loyal to the LORD, He is loyal to us and proves Himself strong on our behalf! But as we see here, Asa did foolishly by trusting in the king of Syria and because of that wars would continue!

[9] For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Instead of receiving this Word of rebuke, Asa had Hanani thrown in prison!

[10] Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time. And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

Asa did not seek the LORD in his sickness, but turned to the physicians instead and died!

[12] And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians. And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign. And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.

Beloved, God used Asa even though he was not perfect! He uses imperfect man because we are all imperfect! He looks at our hearts! Asa started off well in his devotion and trust of the LORD, but he did not finish well!

We must each search our own hearts and ask the LORD to show us if we have allowed high places to remain, and if we have turned from trusting Him to trusting man!

We must too be reminded that when we are faithful and loyal to the LORD — He will be faithful and loyal to us!

May our latter walk with the LORD be as strong or stronger than when we began!

The Life Of King Asa!

In the life of Asa we see devotion to the LORD, and the battle we often face of trusting in man instead of in the LORD!

It was said of Asa that he did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD! Asa removed the sodomites from the land, and he even removed his mother from being Queen because she had set up an idol!

Asa “removed all the idols that his fathers had made. And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove.”

In this passage we see that Asa allowed the high places to remain! Later we will read in another account of his life that he removed the high places!

There are several possible explanations for this seeming discrepancy. One being that these passages may refer to different times in Asa’s reign!

In his early reign, he may have been more active in putting idolatry down. Or, it may have been that Asa was unsuccessful in carrying through his reforms, so that the high places were not completely removed!

Some have suggested that he may have only torn down the high places to other gods but allowed the ones to the LORD to remain!

Let’s read some of the story of Asa’s life!

1 Kings 15:9-14,23-24
And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah. And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom. And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron. But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days. [23] The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet. And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.

The Word says that despite not tearing down the high places, Asa’s heart was perfect toward the LORD! And we know that it is our heart that the LORD looks at!

As children often do, Asa’s son followed in his footsteps!

1 Kings 22:43,46
And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places. [46] And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.

Here is the account of Asa’s reign from 2 Chronicles! In this account Asa did remove the high places, and he commanded Judah to seek the LORD, and to walk in His commandments! Because of this the LORD gave him rest from war!

2 Chronicles 14:2-7,9-12
And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God: For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves: And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment. Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him. And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest. Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and He hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered. And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.

Good morning! This is a testimony! A while back in the summer I had prayed over a computer and it had files of my husband’s voice and my Dads voice on it so I really needed it to work and I had a testimony for that. I put those files on my MacBook.

Now last week my MacBook had a black screen of death! I turned it on an off about 10 times and I opened and closed it about 10 times and did alt cnt delete etc… I’m thinking oh no must have been a power surge and didn’t wanna buy a new computer. I closed it and laid hands on it and prayed for tech angels to please come and fix this computer. I opened it and within 60 seconds that computer was up and running. Now guess where it opened up to?? The random file with my husband’s and my Dads voice in it!! I thanked Jesus and the computer is still working. God is so amazing 🤩!!

What Are You Feeding Yourself And Others?

Before we can be healthy, we must ensure we are eating healthily! Before we can give food to others that will benefit them, we must know what to feed them!

Jesus told Peter three times that if he loved Him, he should feed His sheep!

John 21:15-17
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me more than these? He saith unto Him, Yea, LORD; Thou knowest that I love Thee. He saith unto him, Feed My lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me? He saith unto Him, Yea, LORD; Thou knowest that I love Thee. He saith unto him, Feed My sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou Me? And he said unto Him, LORD, Thou knowest all things; Thou knowest that I love Thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed My sheep.

If feeding His sheep is so important what is the food that they need?

So many today are filling themselves with junk food, and food that is so unhealthy! I am speaking spiritually here because Jesus was speaking not about physical food, but spiritual food!

Remember when His disciples were worried about Him when He hadn’t eaten? He told them He had food that they didn’t know about!

What was this food He’d been eating without them knowing?

John 4:31-34
In the mean while His disciples prayed Him, saying, Master, eat. But He said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought Him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work.

Jesus was sent to bring salvation to all; to proclaim freedom to those in captivity to sin and destined for eternal damnation! He came to feed and harvest precious souls for the kingdom of God!

John 4:35
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

These Words were spoken of Jesus the Messiah!

Isaiah 61:1-3
The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon Me; because the LORD hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified.

Luke 4:17-21
And there was delivered unto Him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the LORD. And He closed the book, and He gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Him. And He began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

This mission has also been given to each child of God! Feed My sheep!

Mark 16:15-16
And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Matthew 10:7-8,16
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. [16] Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Many will say to Me in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in Thy Name? and in Thy Name have cast out devils? and in Thy Name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

We must test the fruits in our own lives, and in the lives of others! That is how we will know if are worshipping in vain!

Galatians lists the fruits of those walking in His Spirit and those walking in the flesh!

Galatians 5:19-26
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Our worship must be in spirit and in truth!

John 4:23-24
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Father, search our hearts and our lives today! Show us if we have been deceived, or are deceiving others? We desire to walk in obedience to Your Word and to worship You with a pure heart fully surrendered to You, in spirit and in truth! Forgive us when we have turned aside and our worship has been in vain in Jesus Name!

Border Patrol Agent Monica Cruz, stationed in Welton, Arizona, has blown the whistle on a major flaw in the system that allows juvenile smugglers, known as “foot guides,” to repeatedly transport illegal migrants without facing prosecution. These teens, aged 14 to 17, are caught but released due to a legal loophole, allowing them to continue smuggling for cartels without consequences. Cruz highlighted the case of one smuggler, “Timmy,” who has been apprehended and released over 20 times.

Cruz also revealed that the Mexican consulate in Yuma advocates for these juveniles but does not intervene in smuggling activities. Despite the repeated offenses, no one is held accountable.

If You Don’t Have Love!

First we must distinguish between the kind of love God displays Himself, and the kind of love He requires of His children!

Jesus said this to the church at Thyatira!

Revelation 2:19
I know thy works, and charity (love), and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

These Christians were doing many good works it would seem as He begins and ends this statement with the fact He knows their works!

But He goes on to rebuke them for their tolerance of sin and evil!

Revelation 2:20-22
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce My servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

In his letter to the church at Corinth, Paul tells us that we must love before all else! Our works should be done because we love God and desire to please Him, and because we love others and want God’s best for them!

Let’s read this chapter about what works are without charity (love), or as the title of this message says — If you don’t have love!

1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is Perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity (love).

This passage brings to mind the reply Jesus gave when He was asked what the greatest commandment was! He said ALL the Law God gave His people, and every Word He gave through His prophets, were built on the foundation of loving God and loving others!

Matthew 22:36-37,39-40
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Beloved, if you are like me, you must ask yourself how you are doing with love! I fall sadly short of being perfected in this area!

I believe the LORD would encourage us today to examine our hearts and our lives to see if we are truly loving Him and loving others with the kind of unselfish love He has toward us!

Are we praising the LORD and turning around and cursing man?

James 3:9-10
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.

Asa cried out to the LORD for help and the LORD intervened!

[11] And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with Thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go against this multitude. O LORD, Thou art our God; let not man prevail against Thee. So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.

The Spirit of the LORD sent a message to Asa and all of the people of God through Azariah!

Even though they had seen the hand of the LORD before, they needed to be reminded that the LORD would be with them only as they relied upon Him and sought Him; but if they forsook Him, He would also forsake them! We need this reminder as well!

2 Chronicles 15:1-19
And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with Him; and if ye seek Him, He will be found of you; but if ye forsake Him, He will forsake you. Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found of them. And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries. And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity. Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded. And when Asa heard these Words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD. And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him. So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa. And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.

The people made a covenant to seek the LORD God with all their heart!

[12] And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought Him with their whole desire; and He was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about. And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron. But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days. And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels. And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.

Asa turned to the king of Syria for help instead of to the LORD! Asa surely knew what God’s Word was about making leagues with other nations!

My scripture today was John 14:27. My peace I give to you-not as the world gives. It's the peace that passes all understanding. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. That's not a suggestion, to me-it's a command. We must believe the promise He gave that His grace IS sufficient for us. It is the grace that got Daniel through the lion's den, Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego through the fiery furnace. It is the grace that got Jesus through calvary. It is the grace that got the aforementioned 2 Christians going to be burned at the stake singing praises &`glory on their lips. I believe it is so huge-we can't begin to fathom what God's grace is. He WILL give it when we need it. Not before.

Beloved, we must feed others what we’ve been given from Him! We must feed them the Truth! He is Truth!

The time is coming and now is that even His sheep will seek to be filled with every unhealthy and deadly thing! We must give them the food that will nourish them unto eternal life with Him!

2 Timothy 4:1-5
I charge thee therefore before God, and the LORD Jesus Christ, Who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom; Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

There’s a beautiful story in the Word of being fed and feeding others!

When the LORD gives to us, He gives us more than enough for just us! He gives us enough to share with others! Just like the baskets of food left over after His miracle of feeding the 5000 and the 4000 people that followed Him!

Luke 9:17
And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

Mark 8:20
And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

Matthew 16:8-10
Which when Jesus perceived, He said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

Jesus said if you’re thirsty or hungry come to Him!

John 4:10
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and Who it is that saith to thee, Give Me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee Living Water.

John 6:35
And Jesus said unto them, I Am the Bread of Life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst.

John 7:37-38
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow Rivers of Living Water.

The overflow and the remainder of what He gives to us isn’t meant to be stored up or hoarded for ourselves, but to be given! He says go and as you go give of Him to others!

Feed yourself on His Word, on His Living Water, and on His Bread of Life, then go and feed others!

Are You Worshipping In Vain?

Are you only giving lip service to God, or are you walking in obedience to His Word?

God requires obedience!

Mark 7:6-7
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Evil will only grow worse in the last days! Deception will be the hallmark! We are told people will deceive and be deceived — “Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

These days that Paul wrote about to Timothy are here! Just look around you, in your own home, in the church, and in the world!

2 Timothy 3:1-13
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

[8-9] Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

In his warning, Paul mentions Jannes and Jambres. This is the only mention of them in the Bible. They are said to have been the wise men, sorcerers, and magicians in the story of the Exodus of God’s people from Egypt!

In the earliest mention of them, it is stated that they were in league with the devil! After their death, their tombs were known as a place where evil demons could be consulted for magic purposes.

[10] But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the LORD delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

In order to not worship in vain we must continue in the Word as Paul instructed Timothy! We must know His Word and walk in it! We must use it as our standard and our protection against deception!

2 Timothy 3:14-17
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

The passage below is one of the most sobering passages in the Bible!

Matthew 7:15-23
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto Me, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.

Do we have the kind of Love that sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for us while we were still sinners?

Romans 5:6-8
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth His Love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not Hhis Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

He loves us enough to show us our sin and our need for a Savior! He came to call sinners to repentance!

Mark 2:17
When Jesus heard it, He saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Jesus left heaven and humbly lived in this earth so that He might offer redemption to sinners like us!

Philippians 2:5-8
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

He asks us to go into the world and show His love! He asks us to love others — Even our enemies!

Matthew 5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

John 15:12-14
This is My commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are My friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

John 13:34-35
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Love covers a multitude of sins! When we bring the Love of God to others, we open the Door for them to receive His Love and redemption!

James 5:19-20
Brethren, if any of you do err from the Truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Father, Forgive me, forgive us, for not loving others with Your love! Perfect us in Your Love, so that we may please You, and love others the way You want us to, by the power of Your Spirit in us, in Jesus Name!
