The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His commandments: His praise endureth for ever.

Proverbs 15:16
Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.

Psalm 25:14
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and He will shew them His Covenant.

Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the Words of this Law.

The passage below is one of my favorites! The LORD loves those so much who fear Him, He writes their Words in a special book! These will be His when He gathers His jewels into His Kingdom!

Malachi 3:16-17
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His Name. And they shall be Mine, saith the LORD of Hosts, in that day when I make up My jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Beloved, we’ve talked about fear in the sense of being fearful and anxious, but the fear of the LORD is not that fear! In fact the fear of the LORD, delivers us from that fear! We know because of Who He is and what lies in His power, that we can trust Him with everything! We can bring each thing to Him!

A sister in Christ tells of what she does with her fears!

“I also struggle with fear and worry about things. I think many of us do some more than others. When I pray I will often take my hands and say here Lord, here are all of my worries and all the things that I’m anxious about, I’m handing them over to you. I feel like I am handing them off to Him. Often I feel a lot better. The Lord does hear us and He loves us very much!”

Fear the LORD, not man!

Matthew 10:28-31
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

He promises to deliver us from all our fears!

Psalm 34:4-7
I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them.

Solomon tells us how important fearing God is! He says fearing God and keeping His Word is the whole duty of man!

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His Commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

We all know the story of Job! God suggested Job to Satan to prove He would remain faithful no matter what Satan threw at him! God said this about Job — “Hast thou considered My servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”

Job 1:6-12
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

A separation occurs and our sin hides the LORD’S face from us!

Isaiah 59:1-2
Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.

We may fool others with our white picket fences, our flowers, and freshly cut grass, but we will never fool the LORD!

The Bible tells us that one day as evil as this world is, the Restrainer, will be removed and evil will grow exponentially worse, and the man of lawlessness will be revealed!

2 Thessalonians 2:6-12
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only He who now letteth will let, until He be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the LORD shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Beloved child of God, we must be ready for His return! We must allow the LORD to purify us inside and out! He knows what is inside us, for He searches our heart!

Psalm 44:20-21
If we have forgotten the Name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; Shall not God search this out? for He knoweth the secrets of the heart.

Allow His Spirit to perfect you in His love!

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

During a difficult time in my life I was praying and I confessed to the LORD that I did not know how to trust Him, how to rest in the situation I was in, much less to be joyful or at peace! I heard these Words in my heart!

Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit saith the LORD of Hosts — You can’t do it child, only My Spirit in you can!

Beloved, let go of your worries, and let His Spirit help you overcome fear!

Nothing will come into our lives that He hasn’t allowed, or isn’t aware of! Nothing catches our Father off guard! We can be still and trust Him!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness.

Psalm 34:3-4
O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His Name together. I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

At Home In The World!

Are you longing for your heavenly HOME? This morning as I prayed it came to me how so many are in love with this world and the things of this world!

Instead of longing for HOME and desiring the return of Jesus, they desire earthly pleasures, experiences, and treasures!

Children and adults sing about and anticipate “Santa Clause is coming to town” and we better watch out because he is watching, and rarely if ever sing about or anticipate the coming of Jesus for His church! They worry about not getting presents, yet have no fear of the coming judgement of God!

Others look for a ‘savior’ in man and anticipate a new administration that will bring about the things they desire!

Beloved, this world is not our HOME! We are strangers here and we are set apart to live holy lives, looking towards our heavenly HOME!

In Hebrews we are told of those who died in the faith! Here’s what the writer said about them and how they anticipated their heavenly HOME!

Hebrews 11:13-16
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a Country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better Country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a city.

Are you like Jesus and these looking ahead to the joy set before you, and your heavenly HOME?

Hebrews 12:1-2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Or have you made this world your HOME?

James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15-17
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

I believe the time is coming very soon, where the Father will send Jesus back — Will you be so at home with this world that you aren’t ready? Or will He find you faithfully watching for the signs and anticipating His return and fulfilling your mission?

Mark 13:33-37
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the Master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Sometimes as we look around us we become discouraged that the world is falling apart, and evil is winning! But it’s not beloved!

I was reminded this morning as well that though man has a plan and seeks to thwart the purposes of God — His purposes will prevail!

Isaiah 14:27
For the LORD of Hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

Proverbs 19:21
There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

God is on His throne and He is in control!

God Is so good!

We have received almost every item from the list I shared a few days ago for the Project Hope homeless resource fair this Thursday. As You Go!

Who has God placed in your life? Where do you find yourself at this point in your walk? What are you doing?

As we walk through life we are on a daily mission! We are each called to be missionaries!

This is the mission of a child of God — Not just some of His children, but each of us!

Matthew 10:7-8
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

We are to first be a light to those in our family, those at our workplace, those in our school, and those we encounter as we go about each day!

If we are called to go outside of our daily realm, no matter where we go our mission is the same! Tell others the good news of God’s love and sacrifice in His only Son, Jesus Christ, and do the works that He did!

Jesus said that every person who would believe in Him would do the works He did, and even greater works! Wow! Even greater works! Do you see these works in your life, or in the lives of other believers you know? I know I fall very short of this!

John 14:12-14
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My Name, I will do it.

These Words were spoken about Jesus and we know that according to Jesus’ Words above they are meant for those who believe in Him as well!

The works will be done by His Spirit working in and through believers!

Isaiah 61:1-3
The Spirit of the LORD God is upon Me; because the LORD hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified.

Jesus confirms below that these Words were spoken of Him!

Luke 4:18-21
The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the LORD. And He closed the book, and He gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Him. And He began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

This scripture was fulfilled in Jesus, but is carried forth through His children! Those sent out in His Name!

Before Jesus left this earth, He gave His disciples them and now their mission!

Mark 16:15-20
And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the LORD had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the LORD working with them, and confirming the Word with signs following. Amen.

Beloved what are you doing — As you go? Are you fulfilling your mission? Are you sharing the gospel? Are you praying for the sick? Are you casting out devils? If not is it because you don’t believe, or have been told you don’t have the authority to do so?

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Even though we live and walk in the midst of evil and darkness, if we fear the LORD and obey Him, He promises to be our stay!

Isaiah 50:10
Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of His servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the Name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

He is merciful to those who fear Him! He forgives our sins and gives us a clean slate!

He understands our weaknesses! He sees our hearts and knows if our desire is to walk in obedience to Him!

Psalm 103:10-14,17-18
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. [17] But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep His Covenant, and to those that remember His Commandments to do them.

Paul writes to the church at Rome about those who don’t fear the LORD! “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

Romans 3:10-18
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.

I want to close with a personal story. When I was young a series of films were shown at our church about the end times! What the Bible says will happen during the tribulation was graphically depicted! I came away from these films with a desire to live for the LORD! I would often say that I was saved out of fear!

I understand that each person who comes to the LORD for salvation is reached in a different way, but for me it was fear!

As I write this today, I realize that though fear has been a struggle for me most of my life, the LORD, as only He can also used it to bring me to Him!

Fearing The LORD!

One of, if not the most important thing missing from our world today is the fear of the LORD!

When Isaiah saw the LORD, he realized his own frailty!

Isaiah 6:1,5
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple. [5] Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Hosts.

But when there is no fear of God, man sees himself as autonomous! He will live as he chooses, to satisfy the desires of his flesh!

The eyes of the LORD are upon the man who fears Him!

Psalm 33:10-22
The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: He maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance. The LORD looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of His habitation He looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashioneth their hearts alike; He considereth all their works. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: He is our Help and our Shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy Name. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in Thee.

We are to fear God not man! We don’t have to fear Him in the sense of a dread of His anger and judgment, if we are born again, but we will have a reverence for Who He is! His omnipotence, and His power!

He provides all the needs for those who fear Him!

Psalm 34:9
O fear the LORD, ye His saints: for there is no want to them that fear Him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

What is the reward for fearing God? One benefit is living a long life and seeing good!

Psalm 34:11-14
Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Proverbs 10:27
The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Another reward is that the LORD will listen for our voice and hear our cries to Him!

Psalm 66:16-20
Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul. I cried unto Him with my mouth, and He was extolled with my tongue. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me: But verily God hath heard me; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.

If we reverence the LORD, we will reverence His Word! We will walk in obedience to Him! He will give us knowledge, wisdom, and understanding!

Proverbs 2:1-5
My son, if thou wilt receive my Words, and hide My Commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto Wisdom, and apply thine heart to Understanding; Yea, if thou criest after Knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for Understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid Treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the Knowledge of God.

To fear the LORD is His treasure!

Isaiah 33:5-6
The LORD is exalted; for He dwelleth on high: He hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. And Wisdom and Knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is His Treasure.

2 Peter 1:3-4

When You Think No one Sees!

The Spirit of the LORD showed Ezekiel what His people were doing when they thought no one could see them!

He even showed him what they were imagining in their minds!

In the story we see the Spirit taking Ezekiel by the hair of his head to show him what was being done in secret, even those things hidden in the hearts of those who claimed to be His children!

These people were living in sin and practicing idolatry, while at the same time putting on a pretense of worshipping God! Even the priests!

The Spirit took Ezekiel to show him these abominations!

I’ve wondered why He took him by the hair of his head. Was it because Ezekiel was reluctant to see these things on his own?

We are often reluctant to see and let go of the sin in our own lives, or to see it in those we think should be trustworthy!

Let’s read the story!

Ezekiel 8:3
And He put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.

These images that provoked the LORD to jealousy, were idols set up and secretly worshipped by God’s people!

As I said, Ezekiel was even shown the thoughts in these peoples minds; their imagery, or imaginations! He was allowed to see what only the LORD sees, as only He can see the heart of man!

Ezekiel 8:10,12
So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. [12] Then said He unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.

They thought the LORD couldn’t see them, but He could! The LORD sees everything!

The LORD had Ezekiel dig a hole in the wall to see what was going on inside! What if others could see what we think, or what we say and do when we think no one is watching!

Outward appearances, and even actions can be deceptive!

I’ve told this story before, but it’s fitting to tell again as it illustrates the pretense of outward appearances!

A good friend told me the story of an aunt who was so particular about how the outside of her home appeared to those passing by!

The grass must be cut, the flowers perfect, and the white picket fence just right! But, he said the inside of her house was filled with clutter, and was such a mess!

Are we like this aunt? Do we have an outward appearance that does not match our inward condition?

The Pharisee’s were like this, and this is what Jesus said to them! He said to first clean the inside!

Matthew 23:25-28
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

I’ve noticed something about restraint. People who once tempered their language and the things they said around me, no longer do so since I’m not in their lives. They don’t think I’m watching!

It is true, we are the salt of the earth! Our presence in the lives of others does bring restraint and it brings conformity by those around us, when they think we are watching them!

But what happens when they no longer think we’re watching, or they no longer care what we think, because we are no longer in fellowship?

More importantly, what happens when we turn away from the LORD, and walk after our own fleshly desires?

Shout out to God, it’s the little things. I was in an all out fight with a gas powered power washer yesterday, I pulled and I pulled and I pulled but it would not start. I was about to give up and I thought “I forgot to ask Jesus for help” I prayed and said “I know You care about everything no matter how insignificant it might seem but if something matters to me it matters to You so please let this thing start” The next pull of the rope it started! God is good 🙏🏻

Overcome By Or Overcoming Fear?

Are you held captive by fears? Fears that something has happened, or will happen to you, or to your loved ones?

When you’re expecting a loved one, and they’re late, and you don’t hear from them, do you fear the worst?

How can we overcome fear, instead of being overcome by it?

The Word of God tells us that we aren’t to worry about anything, but to bring each worry and anxious thought to Him! He promises that if we do, He will give us His supernatural peace!

No matter how big or small our fear — He is able to take care of the things and the people we are concerned about! We can be still and at peace knowing this!

Psalm 46:1-5,7,10-11
God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. [7] The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. [10] Be still, and know that I Am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Selah, means to take time to think about what was just said; to pause and let it sink in and become not just words or head knowledge, but a profound and lasting truth in our hearts that will sustain us, and in the case of fear, cause it to vanish!

I’m writing this message about overcoming fear today, because the struggle with fear is something I continue to face! Last night I lay awake worrying about a loved one!

Are you facing a situation in your own life, or is someone you care about facing something that brings fear to your heart? Do you worry about the unknowns that are ahead?

Beloved, the only way to overcome our fear is to trust!

How do we experience the peace that comes by trusting when something unexpected happens? The fears we are facing may be very real, but we can’t let fear rule our hearts and paralyze us!

Our hearts must be fixed on the LORD! We must know that His promise to be with us, and care for the things and people in our lives will not fail! We must know that we can trust Him!

Psalm 112:7
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

There is no doubt that things will come, that will cause fear to once again rise in our hearts, but when they do, we must turn each fear over to Him!

There is nothing too difficult for our God! He is the LORD God Almighty, and He loves and cares for us always! He will help us!

He promises that if we will cast our cares and our fears on Him, He will give us His peace — Supernatural peace that defies all understanding! Peace even in the midst of our darkest trial, and peace about the unknowns we will face ahead!

Isaiah 26:3-4
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD Jehovah is everlasting strength.

Staying our minds can be like the Selah we talked about above! A pause to remind ourselves of Who our God is, and what His Word says He will do as we face each fear!

My Mom would always say this to me — Be careful for nothing! This was her reminder to me that God was in control and that I need not fear! I could trust Him with everything!

Philippians 4:6-7
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The Word of God has the power to help you overcome fear, and not be overcome by it!

John 6:68
Then Simon Peter answered Him, LORD, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the Words of eternal life.

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed, saying, Let us break Their bands asunder, and cast away Their cords from us. I am a stranger in the earth: hide not Thy commandments from me.

‘This world is not my home; I’m just a-passing through. My treasures are laid up; Somewhere beyond the blue. The angels beckon me; From heaven’s open door; And I can’t feel at home; In this world anymore.’

If you feel like an alien or stranger in this world, it’s because you are! You aren’t supposed to be at home here, but you have a glorious HOME awaiting!

John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

You have been given authority in His Name! It’s not your power, but His! I’ve been told that in countries where believers have not been taught to doubt the authority of God, that many miraculous healings occur! I believe as then, it is true now — Not many works are done because of unbelief!

Matthew 13:58
And He (Jesus) did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Our authority comes from Jesus! Take His authority as you go!

Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

We have been given authority to teach, exhort, and rebuke as well!

Titus 2:12-15
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that Blessed Hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

As we go, we will not always be received will we? Jesus wasn’t either! But we are still to go because that is our mission in this life!

So when we aren’t received, we should respond as Jesus did Himself, and told His disciples to do!

1 Peter 2:21-23
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously.

We are sent on our mission as sheep among wolves! It won’t always be easy, but we’ve been given all we need to succeed by His Spirit and in His Name!

So keep walking forward beloved child of God — Glorify Him as you go!

Matthew 10:14-16
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
