Friends,
I want to remain realistically optimistic and I want what's best for my country.
Wars are not won if there's no faith in victory and peace.
These winter months are a very tense time, the stakes are high.
So I'd like to ask my followers for advice: what can Ukraine do to improve our perspectives, to strengthen our position as discussions continue in the US and EU regarding the future. How can we make ourselves stronger in this?
I have a lot of very smart and experienced people here. I'm grateful for all your thoughts and opinions.
"Are you used to your new condition?"
Putin looks very pleased and relieved at a meeting with Russians who lost their legs in the war.
He's a psychopath completely devoid of empathy.
Under the attack of Russian KABs and drones, the White Angels police group rescued two children, six adults and a dog from the frontline city of Kurakhove, Donetsk region.
The people were hiding from Russian strikes in basements, some in destroyed buildings, and barely had time to gather some belongings.
The evacuees were handed over to volunteers who helped them find shelter in other regions of Ukraine.

In an interview with Reuters, Romania's far-right presidential frontrunner Călin Georgescu made the following statements:
◾️Should he win the presidential run-off, Georgescu will bar continued Ukrainian grain exports through Romania and stop further military aid to Kyiv. "How could I agree to that? It is impossible. Romania and the Romanian people come first," he said.
◾️According to him, it is unimaginable that there be a war next to Romania in the middle of Europe, "so a priority will definitely be that this war in Ukraine must immediately be stopped."
Absolutely agree with the second point. And if aid and support to Ukraine is stopped, it will not end the war. It will bring the war closer to the borders of the EU countries.

NATO plans to create its own fleet of seafaring drones in Europe, - DefenseNews
Amid increased risk of sabotage of undersea cables in recent months, NATO’s commander in Norfolk, Virginia, Adm. Pierre Vandier revealed the alliance is planning to leverage USV – unmanned surface vessels – to monitor the waters of the Baltic and Mediterranean seas. He likened this project to maritime CCTV surveillance. The unit should be operational by summer 2025.
Ukraine has used USVs in the war against Russia with great success, in particular to destroy several Russian warships.

Russian Telegram channels are filled with rumors that during his visit to Moscow, Tucker Carlson might have agreed on an interview with another war criminal - Bashar al-Assad.
The Syrian dictator allegedly happened to be staying at the same hotel, and Carlson arranged to speak with Assad - though it is unclear whether the interview was already recorded, or only planned.
Putin's niece accidentally revealed the approximate number of missing Russian soldiers.
Russian authorities have received 48,000 applications for DNA tests to find missing Russian soldiers. This was announced in Russia's Duma by Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Anna Tsivilyova, Putin's niece.
Kartapolov, head of the Duma's defense committee, said this was "secret information," asked that "these figures not be voiced anywhere else" and that the information be removed from the documents.
These numbers are likely on the lower end of the scale of Russian casualties. There is a reasonable probability that the actual numbers are much higher.
Tucker Carlson, political commentator and former Fox News anchor, has returned to Russia and announced he filmed an interview with Lavrov.
He posted a video from Moscow in which he said that a "fascinating" interview with the Russian foreign minister would be available "very soon." Carlson said he wanted to show the "Russian view" of Russia's war against Ukraine.
Russia is a terrorist country, a war monger that launched an unprovoked war on Ukraine. Russia seeks to destroy Ukraine's statehood, attacks peaceful Ukrainian cities day and night and commits horrible crimes.
So an American journalist will learn a view on the war of a representative of Russia, of this monster, of a man who lies constantly, covering up and whitewashing Russia's war crimes.
This is similar in its horrendousness to an armed maniac and psychopath attacking an unarmed child, strangling and beating, trying to kill, while the journalist is listening to his justifications for why it is right and why it is necessary to kill?
Lavrov, like Putin before him, will be given a multi-million dollar platform for self-justification. And this American citizen will do it, as he did before. And he will call it freedom of speech and real journalism.
I will never tire of saying that it is shameful and inhumane.
Vitalii Remenets, 45, and his dog were killed in a Russian strike on a residential building in Ternopil. His wife Ivanna saved her 11-year-old daughter Veronika by shielding her. The girl survived but her mother Ivanna is now in serious condition with multiple burns.
"It was an exemplary family that had been married for 21 years and raised two beautiful daughters who were left without a loving and caring father," Mayor Serhii Nadal said.
Deepest condolences to the family.

Authorities of Malta have annulled the visa of Maria Zakharova ahead of the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, scheduled to take place on December 5–6 in Valletta.
The Russian MFA stated that the government of Malta said the visa was revoked due to "circumstances beyond their control."
In reality, Malta revoked Maria Zakharova's visa after three EU countries—Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia—objected to granting her an exemption from the EU travel ban. Zakharova, who is sanctioned under EU regulations, needed unanimous approval to attend the OSCE summit together with Lavrov. The Baltic states opposed her exemption after Moscow blocked Estonia's OSCE chairmanship last year. Additionally, Latvia and Lithuania are boycotting the summit in protest against Lavrov’s attendance.

Kadyrov admitted he lied about receiving a Cybertruck from Elon Musk. That was "just a joke," he said.
Kadyrov lied. What a surprise.
Ramzan Kadyrov suggests putting Ukrainian prisoners of war on the roofs of Russian military objects that are targeted by Ukrainian strikes.
This is despicable on so many levels.
◼️He is openly saying that Ukrainian POWs should act as "human shields". This is against all rules and conventions of war. I hope the ICC and international community are noting this down. Kadyrov, like all Russian leaders, is a war criminal.
◼️Our Defenders go through horrible torture of their bodies and minds in Russian captivity. Ukraine is always ready to hold prisoner exchanges, it is Russia who stalls them.
South Korea's six opposition parties have begun impeachment proceedings against President Yoon Suk Yeol, who declared martial law yesterday.
The impeachment motion was signed by 190 opposition lawmakers and one independent. An impeachment vote in parliament could take place at the end of the week.
Yonhap reports that the ruling party decided to vote against the impeachment.
South Korea's defense minister, against whom the opposition also initiated the impeachment, apologized to citizens and resigned:
"I apologize for causing public confusion about martial law. I will be responsible for all situations related to martial law," he said.
While Putin claims that the efforts of Western countries to force a “strategic defeat” on Russia’s economy have failed, the head of the Russian Central Bank says that it will take almost 2 years to curb inflation.

Another drone attacked the barracks of the Special Purpose Police Regiment named after Akhmat Kadyrov in Grozny at around 4:50AM local time.
Russian media claim there were no casualties.
The origin of the drone is unclear - it could well have been launched within infighting between local Russian elites.

"In the organization of combat activity of the terrorists in Syria and their weapon supplies there is a trace of Ukrainian Defense intelligence", Russian permanent representative in the UN said. According to him, "employees of Ukrainian Defense Intelligence arm militants in Idlib, including drones."

In an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed news outlet, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that if the Syrian government asks Iran to send troops to Syria, Tehran will consider this request.
"Iran does not command the resistance groups in Arab countries and lacks organizational ties with them; however, it does support their cause and provides assistance when necessary," he said.
Araghchi also addressed the Iranian nuclear negotiations, expressing that there are "many reasons to feel pessimistic about the discussions with Europe" regarding the nuclear issue.
Iranian foreign minister noted that Iran currently has no intention of engaging in talks with Washington, as there is no foundation for such dialogue. "We are waiting to see the policies that the new US administration will implement before determining our own policy," he concluded.
