Oleksandr Ishchenko, Warrior from Azovstal who was in Russian captivity for more than two years, died in a Russian prison.

Deepest condolences to Oleksandr's family. What a tragedy. And how many more tragedies will happen because Russia does not stick to any conventions on treating prisoners of war.

They were handcuffed and thrown into a pit, where they spent about six days.
Russia continues supporting Maduro. Peskov made a statement that Venezuelan opposition "does not want to accept its defeat." Putin already greeted Maduro on his "re-election."

The Carter Center, a non-profit organization meant to monitor the vote on the ground, said the election failed to meet "international standards of electoral integrity" and could not be "considered democratic."
The White House said, "Any political repression or violence against protesters or of the opposition is obviously unacceptable."
This is not the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut or Avdiivka destroyed by the Russian invasion. This is the Russian city of Vorkuta that looks like it had been bombed.

"We get 40,000, and some of us get 15,000 rubles. 15! Most people cannot afford to provide for themselves," a Russian soldier commented on a poster promising salaries of 210,000 rubles for Russian contract enlistees.
Those Russian soldiers who signed a contract earlier receive much smaller payments and are now starting to resent it.
Another reason why the phone usage was restricted for them?
A firefighter-rescuer of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service kneels over his dead wife, Inna.
He was on duty, and already when he was on his way to the call, he realized that Russian bombs had hit his house.
His wife was killed, and his 10-year-old son was taken to a Kharkiv hospital with thermal burns.
Inna Zamiesova, like her husband, worked in emergency services.
May Inna's memory be eternal and bright.
"We've never lost so many... 5 APCs and 10 pickups went against a thousand people. No Grad launchers, nothing... They were f*cking thrashed in the middle of a field for two days. The rest of their forces started to pull back, and they got f*cked up in the end."
Russian VChK-OGPU Telegram channel obtained a recording of the story of the Wagner PMC mercenary about how the events in Mali really unfolded.
Today, there are a lot of vehicles with Ukrainian license plates in Europe (including very expensive ones). It turns out that Russians have started to massively change their license plates from Russian to Ukrainian ones to circumvent sanctions or to avoid having their cars confiscated. In Russian cities, services for making duplicates of Ukrainian license plates are offered en masse and cheaply (the picture is of one such ad, offering to make Ukrainian license plates for about $30).
For example, Latvian authorities have started to confiscate vehicles with Russian license plates in order to transfer them to Ukraine. The relevant bill was adopted last year, but it came into force only on February 15, 2024. According to it, Russian license plates must be re-registered to Latvian ones, otherwise the cars will be confiscated in favor of Ukraine. The only reason why cars with such license plates can cross Latvia is if they are in transit. In this case, they can stay in the country just for 24 hours.
The following countries have banned cars with Russian license plates from entering the European Union:
▪️ Norway;
▪️ Finland;
▪️ Estonia;
▪️ Latvia;
▪️ Lithuania;
▪️ Poland;
▪️ Bulgaria;
▪️ Greece.
Countries that will confiscate (or fine with deportation) cars with Russian license plates that were imported into Europe before the ban:
▪️ Finland;
▪️ Estonia;
▪️ Latvia;
▪️ Lithuania;
▪️ Germany.
Therefore, not all vehicles with Ukrainian license plates that you see in Europe are actually from Ukraine.
Belarusian Hajun OSINT project reported that at least five Shahed drones flew into Belarus at night.
According to the monitoring project, this is the most massive crossing of Belarusian airspace by Shahed drones. A fighter jet of the Belarusian Air Force flew from the Baranovichi air base to detect them.
After crossing the Belarusian border, most of the Shahed drones went deep into the Palessie Radiation-Ecological Reserve and further back to Ukraine. However, one of the drones flew more than 260 km up to the city of Stolin, Brest region.
New information appeared - that the Russian Mi-8 helicopter was shot down by Ukrainian drones as it took off.
"Z-channels" hint that the crew might not have survived. No official information so far.
In Venezuela, protests over the results of the presidential election do not cease.
▪️ U.S. President Joe Biden and Brazilian President Luiz da Silva are calling on the Venezuelan government to release detailed voting data as soon as possible. The US administration said that election manipulation has deprived Maduro's re-election bid of "any credibility."
▪️ Peru became the first country to name Edmundo González as the president-elect of Venezuela. In response, Venezuela announced its intention to cut off diplomatic relations "for ignoring the will of the Venezuelans and the constitution."
▪️ The protests in many cities of the country have been going on since July 29, and they escalated into clashes with the police. The protesters burned portraits of Maduro, tires and toppled statues of his predecessor Hugo Chávez. Security forces used tear gas and rubber bullets.
▪️ According to the non-governmental organization Foro Penal, at least 6 people were killed in the riots. The Venezuelan Defense Minister said that 23 soldierswere injured.
