Winter Project 2023

Winter has finally arrived and with it, brings the most difficult time of the year for Syrians.

We need your help this winter, we need to heat as many homes as possible. We need to bring relief to a nation of Muslims who have been through unsurmountable amounts of suffering.

Parents suffer deep inside knowing they unable to bring in sufficient provisions to their homes. With barely any jobs available families have to choose between heating their homes or feeding their children. When the burden has become too severe, some resort to suicide.

Recent statistics shows that 80% of the country is living in poverty.

This is the moment a mortar hit a village near Idlib city. The Assad regime consistently attacks innocent Muslim civilians out of hatred for Ahlul Sunnah.

As beautiful as a rainy day can be, the beautiful rain is a source of terror for many living in refugee camps.

Today is the first day or what Syrians call ""beautiful torment". The reason why they call it this, is because winter is a beautiful season with rain and snow, but also a very tormenting time for many who don't have access to adequate heating supplies.

The sad reality is that many Syrians must dig through dumpsters and look for plastic and other items to burn just to bring some type of heating into the home.

As you can see the beautiful but tormenting season of winter has dawned upon us and it is your duty as Muslim to help the less fortunate in society.

Alhamdulillah, we are continuing on our campaign to help families in need. Winter has begun and the cold nights are upon us. We need your assistance to reach as many families as possible this winter.

Breaking News!! Right Now!!!!

When you see this video you most likely assume it is Gaza since it has been making headlines.

But in reality this is a Russian warplane hitting a village named Ehsem, in the southern countryside of Idlib.

The same violence that the Palestinian people face, the Syrian people face it on a regular basis. The conflict has been lingering for many years and people have lost interest. But we should never loose interest in the problems our brothers and sisters face around the world.

If you can not donate the least you can do is remember the Muslims of Syria and the Muslims around the world going through trials and tribulations in your Dua. When you talk to the Syrian people, they smile, but behind that smile lies agony and pain. The way someone smiles can tell a lot about a person, and unfortunately, recently, everything has become extremely difficult. They do not complain, except to Allah.

Although they are welcoming people, they are going through a trial perplexing for the mind to comprehend.

There wages amount to 1 dollar a day, making it impossible to feed a large family. I have witnessed their poverty. When I go and sit with them, they barely have anything to hand out. At minimum they give out the last thing they own just to honor their guest.

You are part of this ummah will you donate for the sake of Allah? The anxiety and stress they are subjected to brings about weary eyes.

You are reading this, but will you take action? Help make their hearts come alive with joy. Bring back a smile from their hearts. Show them the ummah cares about them.

The virtue of sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday begins from sunset on the night of Jumuʿah (Thursday night) and finishes at sunset on the night of Saturday (Friday night). Moreover, sending ṣalāh upon him during the day of Friday is better than during its night (Thursday night).

تفضيل الصلاة على النبي ﷺ في الجمعة يبدأ من غروب الشمس ليلة الجمعة وينتهي بغروبها ليلة السبت، والصلاة عليه ﷺ في نهار الجمعة أفضل من ليلها



إنَّ اللهَ وملائكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ على النَّبي يا أَيُّها الذِّين آمَنوا صَلُّوا عَلَيهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيما ً

Don't forget to send Salutations on Prophet ﷺ

Allah the Almighty will do this for you:

Anas bin Maalik (radhi Allaahu anhu) said:  Verily the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Whoever sends Salah upon me once Allah will send ten upon him and remove ten of his sins and raise his rank by ten levels.

In the last 10 years that I have been working in Syria, I've never seen the Syrian people suffering as much as they are suffering today.

The stories that I hear from people are truly heartbreaking and at times you feel a sense of guilt for not being able to take away all there difficulties. The amount of families asking for aid in recent months has grown exponentially. The pain and suffering that has enveloped them is beyond comprehension and your left only to say حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل.

Another day, another story of pain and loss. At times it is mentally draining to see the pain some people go through but at times when you see the smile of a child that we were able to help it makes us understand why we do this work.

Help us on our journey to aid our brothers and sisters in Syria. Do not forget them as the world has, but continue to support those facing one of the greatest crisis of the 21st century.

Narrated Abu Hurairah:

A man asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): Messenger of Allah, which sadaqah (charity) is the best ? He replied: (The best sadaqah is) that you give something as sadaqah (charity) when you are healthy, greedy, expect survival and fear poverty, and not that you postpone it until your death. and then you say: For so-and-so is such-and-such, and for so-and-so is such-and-such, while it was already for so-and-so.

The pummeling of rockets that occurred recently left many casualties, the pain you see in Gaza is what has been witnessed here in Syria across many different areas throughout this Syrian war.

You can ease the hearts of your brothers and sisters and donate today. The pain of not being able to feed your child kills many parents inside.

A child doesn't know why there isn't any food, he just knows there is supposed to be food.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not wish to be like anyone except in two cases. (The first is) A person, whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it righteously; (the second is) the one whom Allah has given wisdom (the Holy Qur'an) and he acts according to it and teaches it to others."

The headlines are on Gaza, overshadowing the plight of the Muslims in Syria. Many Muslims whether they have deen or not are with the movement in Palestine but the Muslims of Syria are forgotten.

When the raids on Gaza began, it coincided with the regime beginning an assualt on Idlib. Rockets, Missiles, Mortars all rained down on the Muslims of Idlib not sparing anything In sight. The fighter jets were reactivated and plummeted the city of Idlib with vacuum bombs and bunker busters. Leaving craters the size of a car on the street.

We are at a critical moment in this blessed revolution, and we need your continual support to help those in need.

Missles continue raining down on the heads of innocent women and children. Killing, wounding, destroying everything in sight. Can you understand this pain? Losing your beloved family members and possessions just in one night. Your life destoryed and you must rebuild all over again, but this time without the ones you love.

Bashar al Assad the firoun of this ummah, smiles and laughs at the Arab summit for Gaza. A ploy they try to display to the ummah. If they cared they wouldn't have let this go on for over a month. If they had any cared they would threatened Israel with war. But their "armies" are only meant to uphold them in power.

A New Challenge...

Officially, winter has begun and now the real struggle begins. The biggest challenge for many is heating their homes. Many families can not afford to buy wood this winter as the prices have skyrocketed. Some families must unfortunately choose between food or heating their homes this winter.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Tis’eeniyyah (1/125): 

The sons of Adam cannot live in this world unless they help one another in word and deed.

End quote

A great reminder on how the ummah should aid one another, especially in this difficult time of fitna. A muslim is a brother of a muslim. We should exert ourselves in trying to give sadaqah to our brothers and sister that need it the most.

A time will come when someone will not be in need of your sadaqah, but you will be in need of the rewards.

A normal scene of everyday life here in Syria. Everyday death is knocking at the door. The Assad regimes constantly bombards the Muslims of the liberated areas, while the world has turned a blind eye to The crimes committed against Muslims and aids this criminal regime in trying to destroy the zeal of Islam.

They are unaware they can never destroy Islam, and inevitably what they are doing is destroying themselves.

May Allah subhanwatallah give strength to the ummah to remove these tyrants from power and may the glory of Islam be once again prevalent.

Our monthly distributions have been completed and we were yet again able to help many families in need.

We have one problem, the amount of demand for help has increased ten folds and we are not able to keep up up with demands. Many families are left neglected as we do not have enough aid to distribute.
