‘A’isha reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «On the day of sacrifice no one does a deed more pleasing to Allah than the shedding of blood. The sacrifice will come on the day of resurrection with its horns, its hairs and its hoofs, and the blood finds acceptance with God before it falls on the ground, so be glad about it».

Hadith on Virtues: Good deeds protect from evil fates in Hereafter

Umm Salamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Good works protect from evil fates. Charity in secret extinguishes the wrath of the Lord, maintaining family ties increases life span, and every good deed is charity. The people of good in the world are the people of good in the Hereafter, and the people of evil in the world are the people of evil in the Hereafter. And the first to enter Paradise are the people of good.”

Allāh ﷻ says,

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

“Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life..." Sūrah An-Nahl 16: 97.


How Can We Attain A Good Life?
1 - By giving charity.
2 - Perform all the obligatory acts
3 - Focus on purifying the heart from all diseases.
4 - Find comfort in worshipping Allāh in private.
5. Seek knowledge.

❤️Send lots of Salawat upon the Prophet ❤️

Sending ṣalāwat upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday is better than on the rest of the days, and its night (Thursday night) is the best of nights.

He ﷺ said, “Among the best of your days is Friday, so frequently send ṣalāh upon me therein.”

الصلاة على النبي ﷺ يوم الجمعة أفضل من بقيّة الأيام، وليلتها أفضل الليالي، قال ﷺ: (إن من أفضل أيامكم يوم الجمعة فأكثروا عليّ من الصلاة فيه)

‎“Your heart will be ruined from feeling secure and being careless and will grow by remembering Allāh and being pious.”

Remember Allah so that he can remember you. Give sadaqah and help the less fortunate, so that he can give you. The cure is available but very few wants to take the medicine i.e follow the right path.

“Indeed, sadaqah has a remarkable effect in repelling an array of tribulations, even if it (sadaqah) were to come from a wicked sinner or an oppressor – rather even from a disbeliever.

For indeed; Allāh, The Most High by way of it repels an array of tribulations, and this is an affair which is known by the people – their exclusive ones as well as the general ones, and the people of the earth – all of them acknowledge that – because they have indeed experienced it.”

The virtue of sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday begins from sunset on the night of Jumuʿah (Thursday night) and finishes at sunset on the night of Saturday (Friday night). Moreover, sending ṣalāh upon him during the day of Friday is better than during its night (Thursday night).

تفضيل الصلاة على النبي ﷺ في الجمعة يبدأ من غروب الشمس ليلة الجمعة وينتهي بغروبها ليلة السبت، والصلاة عليه ﷺ في نهار الجمعة أفضل من ليلها



إنَّ اللهَ وملائكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ على النَّبي يا أَيُّها الذِّين آمَنوا صَلُّوا عَلَيهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيما ً

Don't forget to send Salutations on Prophet ﷺ

Allah the Almighty will do this for you:

Anas bin Maalik (radhi Allaahu anhu) said:  Verily the Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Whoever sends Salah upon me once Allah will send ten upon him and remove ten of his sins and raise his rank by ten levels.

Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
(89:18)

وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا
And you love wealth with immense love. (89:20)

The situation today has many muslims in Syria living in a state of deprivation.

Protection from Envy

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

“A protection from envy is giving charity and goodness as much as you are able. This has an amazing effect on repelling calamities, the evil eye, and the evil of envy. If there were nothing other than the experiences of the nations of old to prove this, it would be sufficient.

The evil eye and envy are not close to harming the one who gives charity and does good towards the creation; and if it befalls him, it is easy, and his ending is praiseworthy. This is because his gratitude is a protection for his blessings.

The envier's heart will not cool until the envied loses their blessing, and the slave does not protect his blessing with anything better than gratitude. In contrast, nothing exposes the blessing to becoming lost like ingratitude.”

*DON'T BE STINGY WHEN IT COMES TO SADAQAH AND ZAKAT*

If you disclose your Sadaqaat (almsgiving), it is well; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, that is better for you. (Allaah) will expiate you some of your sins. And Allaah is Well-Acquainted with what you do”

[al-Baqarah 2:271].

Sadaqah is a means for purification of one’s wealth and an increase in it. Therefore, do not be stingy with your Sadaqah. How can we protect ourselves from the Fitnah of stinginess?

By knowing that the wealth that Allah has given us is not ours to keep. He gave us this wealth so that we could spend it in His cause, helping the needy and the poor.

The muslims of Syria are in need of your help. After suffering many setbacks and going through a whirlwind of trials and tribulations building their lives again has become even more difficult in this current economic.

This is the grim reality for children all across syria; children are forced to be the breadwinners; they are forced to shoulder the responsibility of taking care of a family.

They are forced to eat rotting leftovers they find while sifting through the rubbish.

We must increase in doing good deeds, helping the less fortunate because we do not know which deed will save us on the Day of Judgment.

A society clinging on to the tightrope

Social economic instability is running strife in Syria. The increase in woman and children you see sprawling themselves into trash cans has become a normal site.

No one wants to live in poverty and surely people do not want to dig through waste bins but with an increase in food prices, gas, and work not being attainable, many have chosen to search for plastic and cardboard and recycle these items.

During the latest parts of the nights you see men rumbling through trash bins and more commonly during the day women and children.

The ummah is on its final leg and can not stand up without help. Ramadan left us but the opportunity to help your brothers and sisters still remains. Exert yourself if giving sadaqah as it is a barrier from calamities.
