The virtue of sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday begins from sunset on the night of Jumuʿah (Thursday night) and finishes at sunset on the night of Saturday (Friday night). Moreover, sending ṣalāh upon him during the day of Friday is better than during its night (Thursday night).

تفضيل الصلاة على النبي ﷺ في الجمعة يبدأ من غروب الشمس ليلة الجمعة وينتهي بغروبها ليلة السبت، والصلاة عليه ﷺ في نهار الجمعة أفضل من ليلها

Victory Over Tyranny

For 12 years, we stood by your side, aiding and supporting you through unimaginable hardships. To witness you now, free and rejoicing in the streets, fills our hearts with joy.

Over the past few days, we’ve traveled through Syria, witnessing city after city fall and the people rise in victory. This triumph is from Allah alone. It came when many had given up hope. I always said, "Be patient just a little longer."

After the liberation of Aleppo (Haleb), Idlib faced a harrowing day. Over nine airstrikes struck Idlib city, with the majority of the casualties being innocent children.

In the aftermath of their humiliating defeat, they vented their aggression on women and children, attempting to break morale on the frontlines by targeting families in the rear. Yet, after nearly 14 years, this ruthless tactic has failed to deter those steadfast in their mission to reclaim their land.

The resistance began this journey with sacrifice and bloodshed, and they remain unwavering in their determination to see every square meter of Syria freed from oppression.

May Allah grant the Ummah steadfastness in these trying times, and may we never forget to include the Ummah in our dua.

Reflections on the Journey

The past few days have been overwhelming as we traveled across Syria, witnessing city after city liberated. For 12 years, we lived amongst some of the most resilient and beautiful people we’ve ever known.

This moment of victory is bittersweet. While the armed rebellion has ended, leaving Syria will break our hearts. Yet, our mission is not over. The next chapter begins now: helping rebuild this beloved country and continuing to serve its people.

An Uncertain Future

The situation in Syria is worsening every day, leaving families struggling to survive. Take this young girl, for example. While we’ve been able to provide her family with financial aid, the reality they face is heartbreaking. Look closely at the walls of their home—lined with bags full of plastic.

Why plastic? It’s their last resort, used as a substitute for wood to heat their homes. With no other options, this is what keeps them warm during the freezing winter nights. For many, especially the young and elderly, access to heating materials is a necessity —it’s a matter of life and death.

Sometimes we neglect to realize that having a roof over one’s head is a significant blessing. There are many families, not just in Gaza but also Muslims from all around the world, living in extreme poverty. Having a roof over your head to shield you from the heat, and walls around you to protect you from the elements, is a great mercy.

Truly, we are often ungrateful.

"And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful." [14:34]

"So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me." [2:152]

We need to be thankful for the blessings of Allah because He gives, and He can also take away.

"And proclaim the favor of your Lord." [93:11]
