The virtue of sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ on Friday begins from sunset on the night of Jumuʿah (Thursday night) and finishes at sunset on the night of Saturday (Friday night). Moreover, sending ṣalāh upon him during the day of Friday is better than during its night (Thursday night).

تفضيل الصلاة على النبي ﷺ في الجمعة يبدأ من غروب الشمس ليلة الجمعة وينتهي بغروبها ليلة السبت، والصلاة عليه ﷺ في نهار الجمعة أفضل من ليلها



إنَّ اللهَ وملائكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ على النَّبي يا أَيُّها الذِّين آمَنوا صَلُّوا عَلَيهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيما ً

Don't forget to send Salutations on Prophet ﷺ

On December 4, 2023, the United Nations food agency announced the suspension of its main food assistance program across Syria, effective January. This decision left over 12 million Syrians without assistance, plunging them into deeper crisis then the initial war that ravaged the country.

Eight months later, the extent of poverty in Syria is unimaginable. Beggars line every corner, and people resort to desperate measures, including deceit, to earn just a few extra cents. The country has become unrecognizable.

*DON'T BE STINGY WHEN IT COMES TO SADAQAH AND ZAKAT*

If you disclose your Sadaqaat (almsgiving), it is well; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, that is better for you. (Allaah) will expiate you some of your sins. And Allaah is Well-Acquainted with what you do”

[al-Baqarah 2:271].

Sadaqah is a means for purification of one’s wealth and an increase in it. Therefore, do not be stingy with your Sadaqah. How can we protect ourselves from the Fitnah of stinginess?

By knowing that the wealth that Allah has given us is not ours to keep. He gave us this wealth so that we could spend it in His cause, helping the needy and the poor.

The muslims of Syria are in need of your help. After going through a whirlwind of trials and tribulations, despair and hopelessness has started sinking into society due to the severity of the economic situation.

Imam Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali رحمه الله said:"Whoever is under the heat of the sun should remember this heat when the day of resurrection comes, because the sun will come closer to the heads of the servants on the Day of Judgment and its heat will increase.

Whoever cannot stand the heat of the sun in this world should take care to perform actions that would protect him from hell, because no one has the strength or the patience to endure this."

A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Which charity is the most superior in reward?" He replied, "The charity which you practice while you are healthy, niggardly and afraid of poverty and wish to become wealthy. Do not delay it to the time of approaching death and then say, 'Give so much to such and such, and so much to such and such.' And it has already belonged to such and such (as it is too late)."

When death grasp you by your neck and you see the angel of death with your eyes, you will then understand the certainty of death and wish that you ransomed all your wealth to have a chance to give sadaqah again.

In all the years I have been in Syria, I have never seen this amount of poverty. There is not a corner without someone begging. If someone is not begging, they are trapped under a pile of debt. Witnessing the ummah in such a condition is truly heartbreaking.

كَلَّا ۖ بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ
No! But you do not honor the orphan (89:17)

وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ
And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
(89:18)

وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا
And you love wealth with immense love. (89:20)

By Allah (swt) it's unbelievable the struggle and pain the ummah is going through.
Does your heart not feel pain when seeing the struggle of the Muslims ummah. ? Oh brother and sisters, Allah has honored you with wealth. Why do you hold back?

Spending in charity:

Spend in the path of Allah and Allah will spend on you.

Spending in charity is an indication of the sincerity of one's faith, strength of certitude, and having good expectations from the Lord of the worlds. Besides, it has many other virtues which make the believer look forward to the reward of Allah, The Almighty, and overlook the whispers of the devil who frightens him with poverty, and beautifies for him stinginess and miserliness. Allah, The Almighty, Says (what means): 

{Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing} 

[Quran 2:268]

Yesterday, I met a brother on the streets, and his story really touched me. He's struggling to afford even basic things like bread, living in a small, tough place. I often see him walking in old, worn-out clothes and slippers.

Seeing how he's sincerely sewing his own clothes moved me deeply, making me want to help him . Let's come together for Allah's sake and support our fellow Muslim brother facing tough times. We can make a big difference in his life insha'Allah

"And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, 'My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous.'"(63:10).

We witness people from all walks of life digging through the rubbish on a daily basis. Some were teachers, some were engineers, and many of them are orphans. Their lives have become traumatic, and no one is offering a helping hand.

We plead with you, as Muslims, part of this beautiful ummah, we need your help to change their lives "in the short term and eventually make." a difference in the long term.

There are others who are not seen outside struggling, but in their homes, their finances have become depleted and no one knows of their struggles other than Allah.
