О.Димитрия с 1913 г. служил в Иоанно-Златоустовском соборе города Ялты. Везде отец Димитрий совмещал священническое служение с преподаванием в церковно-приходских школах. Он был не только очень активным пастырем, но и одаренным проповедником.
Особой статьей обвинения было «оказание помощи заключенным церковникам». Священномученика приговорили к расстрелу с конфискацией имущества. Он был расстрелян в Симферопольской тюрьме 4 января 1938 года.
