Lead/Engineer- Mechanical
Roles & Responsibilities:
? Lead all mechanical engineering related project activities including engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and ensure timely completion
? Define project scope for all mechanical engineering activities and participate in preparing tenders
? Review of Tender documents, procurement specifications, technical calculations as necessary, etc. and carry out technical evaluations
? Reviewing Technical & Engineering Specifications, documents, drawings, Equipment and UG & AG Piping Layouts, Cable Routing, Inspection & Test Plans, 3D model, etc. during FEED and detailed engineering phase of the Project.
? Coordination with PMC, FEED and EPC contractors during all phases of the project from Owner?s side for developing, implementing, and complying of the project procedures
? Supervision of the Construction, Pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities of mechanical activities
? Project progress monitoring and initiate necessary actions to meet the project completion schedules in coordination with other disciplines. Maintain an overview over the entire technical delivery ensuring that all scope is appropriately covered and that all parties clearly understand their requirements and their interfaces with others
? Mechanical Inspections & clearances during various stages of the project
? Participate in HAZOP, QRA, HAZID & HSEIA
? Ensure effective maintenance of Mechanical activities of the plant, including preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance and trouble shooting.
? Development and implementation of CMMS (Centralized Maintenance Management System)
? Procurement of equipment, spares, items as necessary and inspections of the same.
? Preparation of Scope of works for Service Contracts, tendering, review of contract bids, Contract awarding and implementation.
? Day-to-day coordination with user sections for prioritising scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance activities
? Shutdown & Plant Turnaround Planning and Execution.
? Ensure and maintain safe working practices and procedures in the section.

• Responsibilities
Coordination for DCI for detailed engineering from Engineering Vendor.
Uploading of DCI in client portal for approval / If no portal is there then DCI is to be updated internally with lead design discipline engineer inputs.
Tracking all deliverables of DCI at every discipline from initial submission to final code 1 approval.
Ensuring proper visibility of drawings status to Planning & Execution teams for progress tracking and construction works.
Ensuring that all the approvals of drawings are done in minimum time from TPI/PMC/ OWNER.
Ensuring that the Document controller is properly maintaining the documents /drawings/procedure and transmittals at project level.
Understanding VDR in a tender with the lead discipline engineer and maintaining the categories.
Regular visits to TPI/OWNER/PMC offices for timely approvals in coordination with Lead Discipline design engineers.

Design the folder structure & create them in the Cloud Server and convey the same to shop/site for them to maintain similarly.
Prepare and update the DCI on a regular basis in Google Sheets which can be shared online with the shop/site.
All documents from the External Design Team, External/Internal Vendors, Clients to be saved in their respective folders which we receive in common Gmail.
Preparing Transmittals & Uploading the drawings on the Client’s Portal or submitting them vide emails.
Sending the approved/commented documents for Copying and later receive them. Preparing a letter to courier them to their respective sites or Workshop and hand over to the reception. Maintain the challans and later hand them over to the accounts department for accounting.
Has to work in complete coordination with the shop/site to manage all documents.
Inter-departmental coordination whenever needed.
Software Skills: Windows Basics, Gmail, Excel, Word.
