Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Static Equipment Engineer with expertise in the petrochemical and oil & gas sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background and experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and maintenance of static equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and piping systems, following ASME, API, and other relevant codes.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and failure analysis for existing equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution and ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Develop and review technical specifications, datasheets, and engineering documents for static equipment.
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operation of static equipment.
Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all engineering activities.
Conduct inspections and audits of equipment to maintain operational integrity and reliability.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum [5 to 10] years of experience in static equipment engineering within the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., PV Elite, AutoCAD, CAESAR II).
Strong understanding of design codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
Experience with equipment lifecycle management and maintenance strategies.
