RWA refers to the tokenization of traditional financial instruments such as bonds, loans, real estate, and commodities.

The concept is simple: convert off-chain value into on-chain tokens and make them usable within DeFi protocols — for lending, collateralization, trading, and investing.

This unlocks new liquidity flows, reduces dependence on crypto volatility, and brings real-world investment opportunities to a much broader audience.

📊 According to Pantera Capital, as of 2024, more than 15% of DeFi’s Total Value Locked (TVL) was composed of tokens backed by real-world assets — and this share is expected to exceed 30% by the end of 2025.
