Daily briefing by the Ministry of Health in Gaza on the ongoing Israeli genocide, April 20, 2025:
⭕ A total of 44 Palestinians were killed and 145 others injured as a result of the Israeli attacks on Gaza during the last 24 hours.
⭕ The documented Palestinian death toll has now reached 51,201 people killed and 116,869 others injured since October 7, 2023.
⭕ Many victims are still unaccounted for, either buried under the rubble or scattered on the streets, and rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
Since October 2023, suicide drones have increasingly buzzed over Gaza’s skies. Sometimes they watch, sometimes they kill. Their constant presence creates psychological terror. Civilians know they can turn deadly in an instant. No warning. No escape.
In 2018, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) tested its “Rotem L” suicide drone in southern occupied Palestine. The drones were built for dense urban environments like Gaza, developed specifically to target gatherings. It is small, fast, and deadly—designed to be operated by a single soldier.
A Palestinian child was abused and blinfolded last night by Israeli occupation forces who raided his family's home in the town of Kafr al-Dik, in the central occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

In a late-night televised address on Saturday, Israel's Netanyahu said he has instructed the Israeli army to "step up the pressure on Hamas" despite that most the military pressure leads to mounting civilian casualties and poses risks to the lives of the Israeli captives.
Netanyahu said he had always "believed that the combination of military pressure and diplomatic pressure would lead to the release of our hostages".
Earlier in the day, Hamas said it had recovered the body of a guard killed in an Israeli air strike this week. The guard had been securing Edan Alexander, an Israeli dual national soldier believed to be the last American citizen held alive in Gaza. The fate of Alexander is unknown, Hamas said.

Prior to the ongoing Israeli onslaught, Gaza stood resilient despite immense hardships and a blockade from all sides. For Palestinians, Gaza was the most beautiful city, as they tried to make life colorful and meaningful before the war stripped it of its beauty.
Gaza was once full of life and color. However, after Israel launched its deadliest attack on the Strip in October 2023, the occupation wiped out entire residential neighborhoods, wreaking havoc across the city.
The UN says the Israeli army has designated approximately 69% of Gaza's land area as 'no-go' or displacement zones, forcing thousands to leave amid relentless attacks. This has hindered and denied dozens of aid organizations access to those affected.
Instead of pursuing a solution after 18 months of war, Netanyahu has ordered his army to increase military pressure on Gaza in an attempt to compel the resistance to release the Israeli captives.

Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets outside the White House in Washington DC and other cities across the US to demonstrate against President Donald Trump's policies on deportations, government firings, and the wars in Gaza and Ukraine.
The protests took place in New York City, Chicago, and dozens of other locations, marking the second day of nationwide demonstrations since Trump took office.
Several of the protestors waved Palestinian flags and wore keffiyehs, chanting "free Palestine" and expressing solidarity with Palestinians killed in Israel's war on Gaza.
The protesters also carried banners that read "Workers should have the power," "No kingship," "Stop arming Israel" and "Due process".
