Adnan Abu Hasna, media advisor for UNRWA, revealed shocking figures about Gaza’s health and humanitarian crisis. Official death counts do not reflect reality, as many patients and starving individuals die in silence and are buried around tents and shelters.
Diseases previously eradicated, such as meningitis and hepatitis, have reappeared, alongside rising cases of paralysis and other infectious illnesses. Malnutrition and harsh living conditions have caused a collapse of residents’ immune systems.
Despite UN warnings of famine, attempts to address the crisis have failed. Gaza’s health and humanitarian systems face unprecedented collapse, with destroyed infrastructure and hundreds of thousands living in tents without adequate facilities."
The Israeli military pushed deeper into Gaza City on Wednesday, with forces and tanks advancing into Sheikh Redwan neighborhood, one of the urban centre’s largest and most crowded neighbourhoods, forcing residents to flee amid intense bombardment.
