“These guys are lawmakers appropriating money to a military committing genocide and that’s cool?”

Tucker Carlson sharply blasted Representative Randy Fine for appalling display of callousness toward Palestinian suffering, saying Fine’s laughter at a photo of a killed infant and his prior online call “we should kill them all,” are beyond the pale.

Carlson said Fine is a lawmaker who not only celebrates violence but helps bankroll a military waging a genocide in Gaza, asking how such behavior can be tolerated from an elected official.

Virginia State Senator Ghazala Hashmi made history as the first Muslim-American woman elected to statewide office in the U.S., winning the race for lieutenant governor.

Breaking | Israel is demanding a “memorandum of understandings” and a draft UN Security Council resolution outlining the future of Gaza and the disarmament of the Strip.

According to Israeli media, the document Israel seeks resembles the understandings reached following the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.

The goal of the proposed document is to define the scope of Israel’s “freedom of movement” inside Gaza and to secure American guarantees on what would follow if an international force fails to disarm the Strip.

However, it remains unclear whether Washington will provide Israel with guarantees that go beyond its existing understandings with Arab states.

Maersk CEO Vincent Clerc said the ceasefire in Gaza marks a key step toward reopening Red Sea shipping routes. The company had rerouted vessels around Africa since December 2023 after Houthi attacks on one of its ships. Clerc dismissed concerns about “de-globalization,” saying current developments reflect a return to normal trade flows.

Houthi assaults on vessels in the Red Sea, which were in retaliation of Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, had disrupted global commerce and forced many ships to avoid the Suez Canal in favor of longer routes around Africa. Since Gaza ceasefire took effect, Houthi assaults on vessels have been halted, yet Israel continues to bombard Gaza even amid the deal. Since the ceasefire, Israel killed about 280 Palestinians in Gaza.

A Dutch appeals court has rejected a case by activists seeking a complete ban on arms sales to Israel, despite noting a 'serious risk' of genocide and human rights violations in Gaza. The Hague Court of Appeal ruled that the judiciary cannot dictate state foreign policy. Filed in December by Al-Haq and other groups, the lawsuit accused the Dutch government of enabling potential war crimes through military exports. The court dismissed all appeals and ordered the organizations to pay legal costs.

For the first time since the 1970s, the historic Al-Kamaliya School in Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood has welcomed students again, following cleaning and repairs carried out a few days after the ceasefire took effect. Thousands of students had spent the past months learning in tents or through small community initiatives before the reopening of the ancient school. The decision to restore and reopen Al-Kamaliya came after Israel’s deliberate destruction of most schools and universities in Gaza during two years of genocidal attacks, which left nearly the entire education system in ruins and forced Gazans to turn to historic and makeshift spaces for learning.
