(Wildcard early considerations) Which players both pass the eye test and have great underlying statistics?
I imagine (there is) people on here that
A) watch a lot more football than me
B) know more about underlying statistics than me
Wanted to think about players to target for the rest of the season early whether it's on wildcard or just transfer over the next couple of weeks. Below is players I've seen mentioned in this subreddit a few times that have "great underlying numbers" which could be used to predict future expected points.
- Watkins, Sarr, Marmoush, Bruno, Kluivert, Wood, Semenyo

Why so much WC 30/31 chat rather than GW32/33
I've got all chips bar AM left.
Lining up WC for 32 most likely. Load up for the NEW/CPA DGW, get ready for BB in GW33, FH34 and then TC36.
All the discussion seems to be whether to wait until 31 or play it in 30 and gamble on the fixtures.
Why not wait til 32, avoid risk of any injuries and play it then?
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but can't see what it is.

The most FPL season of FPL to ever happen: GW27 Edition
If you’ve got more than 20 points, do say and we’ll give you a much deserved round of applause.
- Krakatoa Volcano Palmer blanks in a 4-0 win. Surprised he didn’t get 3 bonus points for putting up a consoling instagram story afterwards.
- Thank fuck Rogers’ goal was ruled offside though. Can you imagine if he scored right after being the most sold player this week.
- Cunha blanks after being the most bought player this week. But don’t worry guys, he got man of the match!
- Kluivert scored instead of spending time with his newborn. Good for all of us who bought Dango or Semenyo.
- Another player scored a penalty that game but I’m too disgusted to even speak his name anymore.
- Arsenal fans please tell me, how much weekly training you have to do to stay awake during every single match of yours?
Salah with one assist tonight, do we call that a survival fellow Palmer cappers? Well guess what, I’m captaining Palmer again next week. Double or nothing. See you then for my inevitable crashout.

For Those Hoarding Chips: What Is Your Plan?
If you have been holding onto your chips like me and still have Wildcard (WC2) and Attack Mode (AM) / Bench Boost (BB) left to play, how are you planning to navigate the final stretch of the season?
# Standard Strategy:
WC31 – Gain clarity on the upcoming doubles before locking in your team.
BB33 – Capitalise on the biggest Gameweek.
FH34 – Avoid any potential blanks and optimise points.
AM35-37 / AM36-38 – Potential to maximise returns over four fixtures, as GW36 may have at least one double.
# Maverick Approach:
WC30 – Use the FA Cup results to predict doubles in advance and get a head start on GW30 assets.
AM31-33 – Secure 5 games for your AssMan.
FH34 – Same as the standard plan.
BB36 – Take advantage of a later small double Gameweek.
On paper, the first option seems safer and more structured, but could the second option be mathematically superior? What are your thoughts? Any other strategies?
