As we all know, Man City is owned by the holding company [*City Football Group Limited*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_Football_Group). It was founded by [Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mansour_bin_Zayed_Al_Nahyan) who has an 81% stake in the company through his UAE-based private equity firm called [Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment (ADUG)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Dhabi_United_Group).
City Football Group also owns or has large stakes in other football clubs around the world. To name a few, there's [Girona FC](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girona_FC) (La Liga), [Palermo FC](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palermo_FC) (Serie B), [Troyes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ES_Troyes_AC) (Ligue 2), and [NYCFC](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City_FC) (MLS). I'm sure most City fans are aware of this project and the major clubs associated with it.
