How active is this game?
# Getting back into COD this is the most recent one I own how active is the playerbase and are there any major problems with neglect from devs? I remember MW19 got neglected basically as soon as the other cods came out and bugs ruined that game completely, was wondering how bad that might have gotten with this game.

Hi, me and a friend downloaded MWII (2022) after a while again, but we dont see a ranked option ?
I have the following dlcs downloaded because im not downloading 300 gb worth of things: Multiplayer, Vault edition, blackcell season 5 and 6 and 2 skin dlcs. My game was 88.5gb, what can i do to find or play ranked ?

**some weapon tuning options should have a visual effect on your gun**
if weapon tuning were to return they should simplify it a tad bit and remove it for some parts of the weapon like the barrel or the hand guard or the muzzle device, instead they should go with a system similar to delta force where you physically move things like the stock (if adjustable) or the lights and lasers you put on the gun or the front grips and optics, they should be movable instead of moving a magic slider that does things to your gun and you simply don't know what happened, this way if you want the optic closer or further away you just move it on the top rail physically and it has a direct effect on the gun and you can see it with your own eyes
**visual recoil really needs to be toned down in general and ADS time needs to be quicker**
COD has always been a arcade shooter the visual recoil and the slow ADS time really took away from that, for god's sake I've played tactical shooters with faster ADS time and movement with less visual recoil, it just feels like the operator in cod doesn't have the weapon properly shouldered and before anyone says anything it's not more realistic cause with a good grip most guns chambered in something like 5.45 or 5.56 or even 7.62x39 don't move or jump that much
MWII was a really good game but a few things were never addressed like ADS time, stance change speed or the UI/UX and I think if IW could fix those their next game could be something that can bring people back cause they're just burnt out on the brain rot style gameplay of BO6
final thing is that I know I harped on scp 5k a lot but I think that game has a lot of systems that could work in cod and they could definitely learn a think or two from it, so if you guys have 20 dollars to spend on steam I highly recommend it especially if you want a more classic cod zombies experience with a round based mode where you start with a lone pistol and work your way up to better guns

Would be nice to finish playing this game IF THE LAUNCHER WASN'T SO BAD!!
Saw the sale of COD on steam and since a lot of the newer ones are free with gamepass I decided to both replay ones I played before and to play some I hadn't. Did BO6 without issue on gamepass, loved it, and got to the "alone" mission of MW2 and now no matter what I try IT WON'T START UP ANYMORE!!!
Just get the same 0x00001337 error which is a "files" issue. I've reinstalled and verify/repaired the game files many times. I don't have any overlays active. It just decided to STOP WORKING!!
It's bad enough that BO2 STILL has that crashing issue on the second to last level that just never got fixed now I can't play the rest of MW2 either.

[COD] This is my final iteration of ghosts mask. I feel I have managed to get this looking very close to the character, the balaclava also now has all the extra details and stitching on the top sides and back. I’d love to make his nightwar helmet next to compliment the mask.

I get hated on, because I wish MW2 would get the same love and support that Fortnite gets
People always misunderstand it and think I mean it should be like Fortnite, although that’s totally wrong. Even if many of you don’t like Fortnite, you gotta to say the content, love, care and support it gets is outstanding compared MW2 (3000 devs btw). They get weekly updates, that bring fresh new items, map changes, lore, bug fixes and balance changes. I won’t count cosmetics, because as we all know it’s subjective and they technically aren’t content. The live events are stellar too in comparison, but I am too lazy to talk about that. Let’s not forget in MW2 we have gotten no new map since launch and that’s sad. We only have weapons, which are useless and some modes that should have been there at launch.
What do y’all think about this? Do you y’all also want MW2 to get the same support Fortnite gets? Share you opinion down below in the comments.

Are we really the only ones missing DMZ mode? It was the best part of Call of Duty and they just abandoned it!
Question:
Do you want DMZ mode to return and get new updates?
When DMZ mode came out in Warzone 2, it was literally the only thing my friends and I played. It was the perfect mix: huge maps, PvE + PvP, tension, stealth, chaos — all in one. No other mode in CoD felt like that.
It wasn't as frenetic as traditional multiplayer, and the fact that you could run into AI or real players without knowing which was which... made every encounter unique and intense. That unpredictability was what made DMZ so much fun.
But then, without explanation, they stopped updating it. New Call of Dutys keep coming, but DMZ is just left behind, even though it had massive potential. Most of my friends stopped playing because of this.
👉 Are we alone? Or are there still many players who want DMZ back?

Not booting (crash) when changing language from German to English (only campaign installed)
Important side notes:
GPU: RTX 4080 Super
CPU: Ryzen 5600x 6-core16GB RAM
Launcher: XBOX Gamepass

I am from Germany so by default, every CoD including the HQ starts in German. But I do prefer English when playing the campaigns because it's more immersive.
But nonetheless I started MWII (2022) in German just to see if everything works - and it did!
Now it was time for me to change the language...
So, in the HQ I set the language to "English (not installed)" and downloaded 3GB of English Voiceover etc.
Then I set the language to "English (installed)", booted up MWII and...
ERROR.

What's weird is that the error ONLY occurs when starting the game in English...

Is anyone still doing Raids?
I wanna try completing Raid episode 1, possibly episode 2 since it has the skin I want. I’ve only ever played episode 1, up until the final puzzle where my team died, and then never played it again. I have a mic, am pretty average but not brain dead, and play on PS5 and American servers if anyone is interested.

A few things I hope IW does with the guns in their next game
I really enjoyed the gunplay in MWII and I think it's one of the best shooters I've played to this day outside of the visual recoil which was excessive even among tactical shooters, so most of the things I'm gonna mention here are cosmetic stuff and I'm gonna use a game called scp 5k and things IW has done before (and a Garand Thumb video) to explain what I mean, so the first item on the agenda:
**please stop circumcising guns with fixed front sight posts**

in MWII one thing that absolutely grinded my gears was that they removed the iron sights when you used any magnified optics and it made the gun look weird, at least give us the option to toggle them when putting on any optics so it doesn't make the gun look stupid
**adding pressure pads and wires on the gun when equipping a laser or light to the gun**

**depending on how long the front grip is, the operator should change their grip on the gun**

Was MWIII 2023 really a disappointment?
I heard that MW3 2023 disappointed the community. I’m not familiar with it as I’m more familiar with MW2 2022 and that I know wasn’t a disappointment, so why MW3 2023? If what I heard is correct that is.
