The Bois were right. Tsukemen is superior compared to Ramen.
Being living here in Japan, I didn't touch Tsukemen at first because I just thought, "Naah don't worry there are God knows how many Ramen places in Japan", so I always went to Ramen places.
Until few weeks ago.
There's this Tsukemen-specialized shop close to my place that boast their spicy broth of mixture between pork and seafood, and being a spicy food lover, that tempted me to at least try it as it's bikeable from my place.
And the experience... OH GOD IT'S GLORIOUS. The rich broth. The strong flavor. The ability to put how much broth and noodle as you like. And most places allow you to upgrade the amount of noodles for free. I tried other various Tsukemen places and they are indeed provide similar experience.
Once you hooked on Tsukemen, Ramen feels more like a thinned, watered down Tsukemen.
tl;dr didn't believe the Bois' words about Tsukemen, now I completely believed it. I have converted.

Hot take: Connor is just as much of a contrarian as Joey
I know TT fans love to shit on Joey for being a contrarian for not liking shows for being popular or have shitty takes on popular shows and all that but honestly I think Connor is just as guilty for doing the same thing.
Like seriously, any time there is an anime, show or movie that becomes popular that isn't a generic shounen or some sort of hype action series, Connor will have the dumbest and most braindead opinion on. Like when Oshi No Ko first aired, I remember watching the first episode and thinking "wow this is awesome…Connor is going to shit on this for no reason I bet" and a few weeks later, lo and behold he fucking shat on for the dumbest thing possible, and all because he didn't bother paying attention to it. He's like Arin from Game Grumps, he'll ignore or pay no attention to what is happening in the story and then complain about something that didn't even happen.
Same thing recently with his awful take on The Wild Robot. Like with Oshi No Ko I could sort of forgive him since he found it boring personally so maybe he just misremembered it and while still a bad take, it's a bit understandable. But this is straight up unforgivable since Connor just admitted that he didn't pay attention to it and instead just played Slay The Spire the entire time, and yet complained about the movie being "bad". Connor are you even listening to yourself, HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU CLAIM A MOVIE IS BAD WHEN YOU DIDN'T EVEN FUCKING WATCH IT! This genuinely one of the worst opinions I have seen on anything. It would be better if he just said he's never seen it but what he said is basically the same thing. You cannot have a proper opinion on something like a show or a movie if you didn't even bother to watch it properly.
Or another thing is for some reason whenever Joey talks about music and he brings up an obscure or unknown artist, Connor just immediately mocks him or shits on him for listening to artists he's never heard of. Like Connor, what the actually fuck is your problem? Why does he shit on Joey for liking obscure artists? Hell, he regularly plays weird or obscure indie games on stream yet neither Joey or Garnt mock him for it, so why does he do it when it comes to music? It genuinely bothers me when he does because it's so unprovoked and unnecessary.
I know I'm coming across a quite angry and I sorry about that, and Connor if you see this post I genuinely don't have any ill will towards you. I still love and respect Connor as a creator but I just wanted to vent my frustrations over Connor's takes and to say that Joey isn't the only one with contrarian hot takes. I think a lot of you will definitely disagree with me and I don't mind being proven wrong but I just wanted to get this out there. Maybe I just being stupid here.

American Pete actually, genuinely makes me feel less anxious and unhappy about aging.
I'm 39 years old and, like most people in that situation am panicking about reaching the big round number that is the official transition into "Old". From ages 29-38 you can cope about it, but there's no arguing about it. That's when old begins.
And this was something that actually bothered me a lot. Because i don't feel all that much different to how i felt mentally in my 20s. My interests and personality aren't all that different, with maybe a little bit better impulse and emotional control that comes from experience i guess. But i really at some point started to look at the calendar and think "Ok, this isn't funny anymore, please stop moving".
And It just occurred to me that American Pete really sets a good example and that it makes me feel a lot less upset about some arbitrary number change. He's 41 and is pretty much universally adored by anyone who encounters him. Is a fantastic and optimistic personality, Made a massive career shift and makes money doing what he wants for a living, and is even starting a family for the first time. He's an exemplar for us all. Three cheers for old man American Pete. Setting a good example for us old dudes.

I saw their 3x3 manga episode in 2021 and seeing Joey’s summary of his favourite manga made me very curious to read it after Garnt said that Sydney cried like she lost a family member when she finished it. I read the first few chapters back then but I dropped it because the melancholic mood made me feel very uneasy
Now around 4 months ago Garnt and Connor were forced to read the first 2 volumes and hearing them talk about punpun with such passion even though they had only read the first two volumes convinced me to give it a second try. I started reading it online and reached the end of the second volume where I read the last chapter while listening to tsubasa wo kudasai which made me cry so much I got scared to continue it further
I then read a girl on the shore because I was craving something similar that was less sad and it turned out to be one of the best things i had ever read so i just went ahead and ordered the punpun omnibus. Finished it yesterday and damn, I never thought something I would get recommended from trash taste would make me feel this way
