Why does no one use the void Nexus?
First of all I love playing as Alter. She's a very fun and very welcome additon to the Apex legends roster. But every single time I place down my void Nexus very few people actually use it for it's intended purpose. Or they use it when they are literally two feet from it. Does anyone understand it's purpose? It's literally the wraith portal but way better. Yet everyone takes those instead. Why? Does no one understand how the Nexus works?

Who do you think is the worst legend in Apex Legends right now?
And, if your answer isn't Seer, then who do you think it is?
Like fr, Seer is just awful and has been since his mini 'rework' (that only affected his tactical, and came with a bag full of fun nerfs for him).

What's the point of katar set? Doesn't it completely ruin the exclusivity of heirlooms?
Ugly ass knife that all legends can use imo just ruins the idea of having individual heirlooms based on the character personality.

Solos should stay permanent for a better player pool
They say it's bad for the game and it doesn't add any team based gaming, BUT it keeps all the solo hot droppers out of the trios pool. All I'm seeing on solos mode is 20 bomb, 4k damage TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch streamers. All of them hashing it out between each other because they don't want teammates. This in turn is such a better player pool for the other modes. You have a mode where it literally filters out the toxic side of Apex and has them put into their own corner of a room where they can do whatever they want without teammates while the other modes get more of the players who actually want to play on a team. Where is the downside?

A boomer's take on matchmaking complaints
The new season seems to have brought on a flood of matchmaking complaints on this sub, partially fueled by the solos mode.
As a nearly 40-yo boomer who has played through many fps games starting from the 90's, all I can think of when reading those threads is... "man, you're supposed to die to better players, that's how it works."
Matchmaking in most shooter games used to be simply pulling up the server list and joining a full or nearly full server and there we all were, from noobs to absolute demons, happily playing away. No skill-based matchmaking whatsoever - and no one complained, either.
I've died to better players in many games for hours and hours and hours on end. You know what my reaction has been to that? To respawn and try and go kill the guy. I'd go after the enemy team's best player and I'd die, I'd go after them and I'd die, go after them, die, go after them, die, go after them and "**** yes, I got him!"
Facing better players than you should be a challenge you embrace and learn from, not something you cry about.
Also, all these people who love to screenshot the Pred-badge player who killed them, conveniently don't talk about all the players they've killed who were worse than them. Just because you died to some sweaty Pred doesn't mean you also don't get to kill players who are worse than you.
I don't know, maybe this post is old-man-yelling-at-clouds type of stuff, but I find it incredibly weak mental to complain about dying to better players in a shooter game - that's how it's always been!

Coming back to Apex as a casual and surprised it's good after looking at this sub
I have around 500 hours in this game, most were put in the early seasons when my only responsibilities were schoolwork. I come back every now and again when a legend catches my eye, or I'm just feeling that FPS itch.
Every time I come back, I check this subreddit as I re-download the game, and I expect the absolute worst. I expect to have terrible match making, terrible connection issues, to be limited to a meta - but I rarely ever have had any issues with this game.
The movement is so fluid, and compared to every other FPS I play, I feel like I have so much control of every weapon, and that I'm able to use what I pick up and not feel like I am being shafted by other players because they understand the meta more than me.
I don't look at balancing patches, I don't know what gun got the most recent buff, I just pick up what I see, pick whatever legend I'm feeling, and play, and the only issue I've ever had with Apex is third parties, which I honestly believe is not an issue, but just a part of battle Rosales. Sometimes you are going to get overwhelmed and you will die and there will be nothing you can do about it.
The part of this sub that confuses me is the talk about SBMM. Being matched against better players and all. From my experience, I can tell how skilled someone is, and I feel like I get a pretty good balance of skilled and less skilled players.
It makes me wonder what folks mean when they say Casual because I believe I'm that. The highest win percentage I've had is 15, but in recent years it's gone down (I think my overall is 8 as I was helping friends get into the game), and I feel like it's very achievable just through basic game sense and awareness. If you know how the recoil works, you got your sens dialed down and you wear headphones, I think anyone can win consistently at this game.
I just feel like this SBMM talk is so overblown, and I reckon I feel that way because I absolutely suck at WarZone, that's a BR where I actually feel like I don't have much of a chance. I could go weeks without winning, yet in Apex I can get multiple wins a day and not feel like I gotta cheat the game to succeed.
Are the extremely casual players just very vocal in here? Going by this sub I would imagine it's hard to enjoy this game, but looking at it now, the player base is still huge and doesn't seem to show any signs of depletion

Everyone is so negative despite this being one of the coolest seasons in recent memory!
The game has problems yes, could matchmaking do with some tweaking? Of course. That being said some of the posts I’m seeing are utterly ridiculous.
The new map changes are so cool, broken moon has genuinely become my favourite ranked map now. The new character feels really good ingame and offers some really busted abilities in the right hands.
As an aside I love how in solos blame has shifted from “bad teammates” to hacking LOL.

Respawn can we stop with the gambling?
I’m honestly so sick of the fact that we can’t even choose what we want from events and if you’re unlucky enough you have to buy entire thing to get what you want. This especially goes for sticker packs. I just want a damn Crypto sticker but I’ve been unlucky enough to buy a decent amount of packs and not get single Crypto sticker from all the sticker packs that have came out so far. Let us buy what we want!
Surprised this isn’t outlawed yet in the US

I love it. The aesthetic and map changes, especially Promenade getting nuked from existence. Best ranked map right now imo. Also the new rotations just make it flow so much better.

Solos is just infested?
The blatant cheating in solos is so embarrassing for the game. I'm by no means a great player, and I've had more than my fair share of embarrassing 200-0 deaths to actual good players, but the number of times I die and I'm watching the player blatantly wall hacking and occasionally aimbotting is insane. Feels like 8 out of 10 games I'm watching some lvl 100 account with 4000 S21 kills just staring through walls. Maybe it's better on console or maybe I'm just missing the "can see opps through walls" DLC, but feels pretty terrible.

Battle sense has really shined a light on just how bad the audio is.
We’ve all heard how bad/non-existent the audio is in this game. But I’ve always assumed I was too busy killing the enemy teammate that I wasn’t paying attention to the other guy swinging behind me. No I realize I’m truly getting killed by dudes wearing pillow shoes.
See the notification from battle sense. Scout the area. Find nobody. Get one clipped in the back by a guy who was able to zip line over to me and open every door in the building without me hearing any of it.
Solos truly is such a good game mode. Super fun. Really challenging. But it’s absolutely the best for pointing out fundamental flaws with Apex as a whole.

This game is plagued with chronus users and it makes playing the game feel incredibly unfair.
Go ahead and say it’s a skill issue. It’s not. People have been beaming at superhuman levels lately. The last 2-3 seasons have been the worst but this seasons even seems a notch ahead.
Check your death recaps, I’m getting fully head shotted from miles away with weapons that shouldn’t be able to do it. On top of that I hear the sound of a r301, hemlock, or flatline using the single fire with rapid fire chronus mod all the time now. Especially in solos/ranked. If you didn’t know, when you put these weapons on single fire and use your rapid fire chronus mod, you get a fire rate that is faster than the guns normal fire rate as well as you get way less recoil due to it being single fire. You can CLEARLY hear the difference in how the guns sound. It’s such a frustrating experience to play online games now because you just know a lot of the players have an unfair advantage. And before you say “it’s not actually that bad” I saw a tweet with a Amazon page of the chronus zen product and it had “30,000+ bought in the last month” so yeah, it’s bad. And it’s especially bad in competitive games like apex legends.
It’s getting to the point where I’m about to give up on online competitive games until the chronus issue gets resolved. Please for the love of GOD do something about these individuals that have ruined gaming for the rest of us.

This community can’t handle the fact that there are players better than you.
The release of solos and the resulting discussion surrounding it on this subreddit confirm that.
Surely, surely people can’t be thick headed enough to think that they deserve to stomp every solos lobby or “have fun” despite most likely being plat level players max.
What exactly do you want respawn to do with the matchmaking? Match you with all the rookie level players, and the diamond/masters/pred players with each other? Something like that exists and it’s called ranked.
“I’m only getting killed by masters”. I guarantee that you are not. Most likely it’s someone of a similar skill level to you who has a fake masters badge from the easy season and normally finishes in plat that just beamed you because you were out in the open.
Solos matchmaking most likely follows a normal distribution where there may only be 3/4 top level players in a lobby, but because they are top players, they move faster, react faster, and kill people faster leading to the impression that the lobbies are filled with masters/press. Due to the nature of this game, I’m sorry to say but you’re just gonna have to learn to deal with that. Otherwise go play mixtape.

Havoc is fine the way it is
I see a lot of people complain about the havoc, and rightfully so, it’s really good. That being said, it was never an issue in previous seasons.
Why? Because other guns were as good or better. Only now that virtually all smg’s and most AR’s have been nerfed to oblivion are people complaining about the havoc. Rather than nerf the havoc they should increase the viability of the car and r99 again.
