If you could fix Apex what would you start with first?
I’ve been a long time fan of apex playing since day one and the game isn’t in the best state it could be at right now (to say the least) with the predatory monetizations and rampant cheaters running around, It’s dying but I don’t want to leave it cause it’s a game that’s close to me so i was wondering if you guys were part of the apex dev team what would you fix first? I know I’m probably just huffing hopium but talking about it does make me feel better

Just got back into Apex 2 years later..
I used to play Apex mainly around 1.5 to 2 years ago, or whenever Newcastle came out because I totally stopped playing a bit right before he released, and since then I've had a break from the game. I just got back into it and I just gotta say WHAT HAPPENED??
First the shield levels thing with perks? Was confused at first but was quick to understand, some games like to do that, I suppose.
Next, WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY GUY REVENANT? I'm not caught up on lore so idk if that's what changed him but his abilities are drastically different now?? What happened to the dark ball he launched and his totem? Only thing they kept was his quick paced crouch and his increased climbing ability, I think.
Haven't noticed if anything else large has changed, yet.
I'm just so boggled.

SMGs need a hip fire buff
If I recall right, SMG hip fires were nerfed some seasons ago. Now with the buffed shotguns, they cannot compete at all. A hip fire accuracy buff for SMGs is badly needed.

I believe healthbars are destructive for the game
There’s nothing more to say than remove healthbars. Why don’t I remove it for myself if I hate it that much? Well, because other people on the game keep it and I would be at disadvantage.
But listen to me, I am a left handed person, I think it’s more difficult for us to play games on keyboards, (I am also 32 which would be considered old and I should stop playing, but I don’t want either of these to put an end to playing games as they relax me after a long week.)
Because of this, and the way my hand is placed on the mouse and keyboard, I am unable, from any point of view, to press V to hit with my fist.
Why don’t I put it on another button then?
I can’t press z, x, c, etc, or any other key that is further away, and all my other keys are already in use.
So all in all, I don’t have a fist. Okay?
Now. When I play, I kill a player and someone else checks my hp by hitting me with a single bullet, then pushes me violently while I am behind cover and reloading or something, (so I can’t hit back) and they simply press V once.
This should not be possible, what if I was 90 hp instead of 20? Nobody in the right mind pushes like this. But they can see my hp and do it! I’ve been playing for 4 years and this never happened before. Yet it happened for more than 15 times in the past week.
Shouldn’t this be a strategy game?
I think healthbars ruin the experience.

Matchmaking, that’s it. There should never be a situation where plat 4s and 3s are in Diamond lobbies, especially when there are more plat IV players than any other rank.
Yes there are server issues, cheating issues, etc. But MM is by far the largest problem IMO, and why people, like myself are finding themselves playing less and less.

Is this game leaking handles?
There's no chance that the game should be using this much of the OS' resources should it? Even just sitting in the main menu it opens about 20 handles/second. Starting to wonder if this is the cause of some performance issues.
