Avicii Did Not Write The Nights
I’ve seen a lot of people here praising avicii for the nights, and it pains me that not many of you know that he didn’t write the song. I want to spread this information because the credit has gone to the completely wrong person, where it really should be aimed towards the original true song writer, Nicholas Furlong. I know this is not any of your fault as avicii and his team didn’t make it obvious at all, heck, it’s called “Avicii - The Nights”, so of course the first instinct is to think avicii did most of the work. Fortunately though, with most other songs avicii was part of the writing process.

Sound engineery and Audiophiles: About the mastering & mixing of Enough Is Enough and Tom Swoon's remix
I just stumbled across this post about people arguing over the mastering and mixing on Tims Enough Is Enough.
I personally am far from what youd consider an audiophile and cant tell you the difference between a 256kbps or 320kbps file for the life of me. I know all the versions of this track we have are pretty horrible in quality but how bad of a case is this song really?
And if were already discussing this song: what about Tom Swoon's Remix of it? We have it in high quality. How much of it was fixed? And now that I think about it, if it was actually mastered properly, maybe thats the reason he only really played that version consistently?

Sometimes I feel intense sadness that he is gone
I don’t know what it is but sometimes it really hits me that he is gone and never coming back.
When this happens I almost have to stop the music because it hurts.

Talk to myself/ bad reputation
Anyone else notice that in talk to myself the song goes like “can you see my emotion sinking away in slow motion like a break in the ocean just getting lost out at sea can you see my emotion say can you see my devotion” and then in talk to myself it says “alone searching for devotion in a faded melody” I just noticed the word devotion being used in both songs

Why is this avicci song sad?
Sorry guys, this is gonna be a longer post. I really wanna explain and get it out of my head.
This post is not just about Avicii but I rather used it as an example.
Now I don’t mean sad as in the lyrics or the song is Intended to be sad but rather why does the sound of the song sound very sad and depressing ( not to mention the music video). Does one else feel the same or agree? Do you get what I mean?
It’s the style of the music and the sounds used. Avicii truly is a legend with the ability to make really good music. When you watch avicii music video then there’s always a special meaning behind it on any of his songs which does hit different. I could be the one is the most powerful yet saddest and hits atleast me very well. I used to cry to that at some point. It’s very well made as the music does suit the video very well showing the depressing side of life and never being free inside and wanting to break through. Especially when you’re going through something similar then it does really hit you differently and you understand it from its true perspective and not just the music sound ( that applies to almost any song of any artist).
Does anyone else feel or used to feel really sad and did it sound different to you than any other song that you almost cried or took a minute deep thinking’s? Or any other song that just sounds different and really hits you than the average song?
I have a theory that it might be linked to personal experiences and beliefs aswell. Maybe something just as stupid as a song being in the background while a argument or your parents divorcing, get bullied or anything else and then a certain song gives you bad or good memories depending on that moment in the past. Idk tho.
Other songs that give me the same type of sadness:

Avicii- waiting for love ( the sound and main fucking bit makes me really sad) 🤣
There’s a couple more in my head which I do t remember the name of , but do you see what I mean about the sounds of these songs? They’re kinda feel sad but very cool and motivating at the same time. I really wanna know if anyone else feels the same way or is it really just me because when I put this song ( I could be the one) or any other similar songs then people don’t see or react the same way as I do and it feels like it’s just another song for them like any other song that they sing along to.
It’s just these songs that feel like I shouldn’t be listening to them or have to turn them off especially if I’m in a bad mindset or a bad day. Some artists are very talented to be even able to come up with some songs and put sounds together to make a really good tune. I know for sure once I listen to it once then it will be doing my head in for the whole day or even longer making me fall in a sad mood and percieving life differently and more deeply.
Btw apparently Tim berling aka Avicii was able to already have the tune and song fully in his head before hand and before even touching the instruments. That’s truly a rare type of person perfectly designed for making music
