Hot take: third person is a bad idea
It's an immersive roleplaying game not a fashion show, you see through your characters eyes not from a camera above them and that's how it should be.
Edit for detail cause I was on my lunch break and didn't have enough time to write a full point: the game is designed around first person. So many cutscenes would be broken by third person, whole new animations would need to be made and the combat system would need to be reworked. Interiors would need to be redesigned for third person to look good and small spaces like jig-jig street would be incredibly janky. I'm all for fashion but standing around posing your V in the middle of the street in third person is unimmersive to me. I like dressing my character up and getting ready for different gigs and missions but I'm fine with the knowledge that my character is suitably attired. Don't need constant affirmation. You can just as well use photo mode for your character's outfit if it matters that hugely to you. That is a resource CDPR have put time and effort into.
Anyway, third person is a bad idea because it would have a huge negative impact on gameplay and would require a total redesign of the game. I don't know about you but I'd rather have Orion than third person in 2077.

Appreciation for a FREE update
damn, you guys can't be happy with anything, they asked what ppl want (and maybe it's not in this patch that they would put the things asked a month ago, they could be working in the 2.3 from the last 2.21 update)
but man, they could just updated the game to 2.0 and called it a day but they are making more updates and free, maybe even more till Cyberpunk 2 but nah, the majority of community being ungrateful af you deserve ubisoft and EA treatment that would bundle all these free updates and charge you more $50
you guys think the world revolve around you "they didn't put what I asked BAAAD" like a spoiled child. I don't care about photo-mode but hey some ppl like and I can try something, good for everyone
complain about everything and maybe they see it's not worth anymore and cancel the idea of updates regularly

ngl, I'm excited for 2.3, tomorrow
I'm physically challenged -- I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I can't walk, am physically non-speaking, and can only use my right hand.
I've been playing 2077 off and on since launch. Still working on my first playthrough, mainly due to the controls not being very accessible. (I was also waiting for 2.0, and admittedly forgot about the game until I got the Ultimate Edition)
That being said, I'm excited for 2.3, tomorrow, if only for the auto-driving, and ADS toggle. Although they may be minor additions, those 2 things do make the game more playable for me, especially the auto-driving. I sort of stopped playing because the vehicles handle like crap and I kept crashing.
Being able to toggle ADS is big because with my disability, It's hard for me to hold down L2, aim, and hit R2 to fire. The toggle will help a lot.
Yay for better accessibility additions!
Now if only we could get a quickhack menu toggle....
