I love Digimon recolours, but...
...am I the only one that hates when a Digimon just becomes its recolour for its next level?
Like Leomon > Panjamon, Meramon > BlueMeramon, Mushrooming > Chamblemon... or Gotsumon, who people want to have a whole line being recolours for some ungodly reason.
I love recolours used as variations on a Digimon, like the Ogremon recolours. But when the Digimon's "main" evo is just itself with a new coat of paint, it annoys me. And worse when people say "oh, we don't need a new Digimon to be an evo of this one, it has a recolour!"
I know "am I the only one" is the most irritating thing to say for a discussion, but on this matter it genuinely feels like I'm the only one who feels this way. It seems like everyone either hates ALL recolours or is fine with them even in this context.
