Why was the race red flagged after the restart crash at the end? Why couldn’t the stewards just let the race finish behind the safety car when there was no way the race could of been restarted, surely they could of just got the safety car to come out and do the last lap instead of a huge delay just to change the result. Would of been amazing to have seen Hulkenberg get a podium

During the 2009 season, were the drivers required to complete their qualifying lap before the chequered flag was waived?
In the brawn GP docuseries, Jenson Button said “There was three or four seconds to go before the chequered flag….. I just made it across the line in time…” I almost didn’t get my lap so yeah I got lucky again”
From what I understood, did he mean that he had to complete his qualifying lap before the chequered flag was waived? I thought the rule was you can finish your qualifying lap even after that chequered flag was waived, as long as you have started it before it was waived.

What was the worst team/driver decision ever?
I'll start: when Adrian Newey requested equity at Williams in the period 1994-96 and Frank Williams and Patrick Head told him "no". You have to wonder what could have been the outcome if Newey was a team owner at Williams across all those years.
The guy produced a dozen WDC and WCC winning cars for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull, and if it had been his own team he might have stopped those Ferrari and Mercedes winning periods a lot sooner.

FIA President Ben Sulayem is the cringiest
I've never seen anything like it. His 'performance' at the Gala was so bad.
He was so eager to get introduced, then stepped off the stage, came back, gave a speech no one asked for, and then ordered Horner, Stefano and the government guy to come for a picture. The presentors weren't sure how to handle him and were super uncomfortable. This was an absolute trainwreck.
Has this man not a shred of self awareness? Is everyone afraid to tell him the truth? What's happening here
