Hello!
Today I've tried to install macOS Sonoma in my computer. However, after installing it through the recovery, I get a boot loop (when trying to start the system). After each 2 reboots I have the warning "Your computer restarted because of a problem..."
I followed all the Dortania guide, but I still don't know what is wrong. Can someone help me please?

P.S.: I don't know if it's useful, but the installer stopped at 15 minutes remaining and went to opencore bootloader, saying that it was already installed.

My trackpad pointer its extreme laggy and gestures with 3 fingers don't work
I have a dell Inspiron 5566 and i installed sequoia everything works fine, but the trackpad pointer its lagging all the time and the gestures don't work, i have try a bunch of thing but no works, i make the test with apple touch ps2 smart kext and the mac don't recognized the trackpad, i have tested with various versions of the voodoops2, voodooI2C, voodoo2ICHD. i only wants to fix this, cause i use more the trackpad instead a mouse. With a external mouse the pointer goes normal.

Can someone explain framebuffer patching for me?
I'm running a hackintosh on my ThinkPad-E14-20RAS0KY00 that has intel UHD 630 graphics Coffee/Comet Lake, and trying to get the hdmi display to work. I'm using 0x3EA50009 Platform ID and the suggested values given earlier in the guide.

RAM Configuration Alert
Hello,
I am running Mac OS Monterey in Proxmox VE. The VM has 15GB of RAM and the host CPU an Intel N95 with integrated graphics.
I have Open Core configured as a Mac Pro and in the memory tab I get an alert about improper RAM configuration. Is it possible to trick it into thinking that RAM is optimally installed?

why is my zsh terminal so slow?
I installed nvm and I use zsh-nvm-lazy-load plugin because my terminal already starts slowly without nvm and without this plugin the loading time was just unbearable. I'm very uncomfortable with how my terminal is right now.
What could possibly be wrong? Even removing oh-my-zsh framework doesn't affect my load time. Just the pure zsh term takes like 2-3 seconds to start. Here is a GIF of what happen when I use nvm command: (Yes, it is that slow)

Im trying to Install at least High sierra on my computer with legacy boot/bios and the ethernet driver is unsupported "Intel(R) 82567V-2 Gigabit Network Connection" Is there anything I can do?
Hello everyone, I'm extremely new to this stuff and really dont know much about it. but, from my knowledge, I know that I have to format my hdd that I am planning on running and booting macos with to mbr instead because it isnt supported by my motherboard. For clarification, I bought this pc from my cousin who just bought as a cheap office computer and then just shoved a gtx 1060 in it. I appreciate any help I can get! Also, I failed to mention this in the title, and I dont know if it matters but I do plan on dual booting with Windows 10. Should I just buy a cheap usb wifi adapter.

Surface Pro 5 + Seqioua
Has anyone successfully installed Sequoia on a surface pro 5? What is the latest OSX version you have installed? What works, what does not work? What guide did you follow?
I am about to embark on this journey (well, I already have) without much luck.
I download the Surface Pro 5 EFI, slap it on a usb stick, put the Sequoia image on there - the one downloaded using gibMacOS.
The furthest i have gotten is to the language selection screen, but from there i have zero input, no keyboard, no mouse, no touch, no cover keyboard, so trying to figure out - what did YOU do with YOUR surface pro 5?

Running MacOS HDDs via Virtual Machine
Hey all,
I'm planning on building a PC to replace my intermittently-crashing 15-year-old Mac Pro, but the hackintosh builds that I've seen feel limited in terms of possible hardware upgrades (without a lot of additional efforts after replacing something). So, I've begun to settle on the idea of moving forward by essentially hosting my Mac Pro virtual environment, which comes with it own complications of course.
My hope is that I will be able to construct a PC with a tower large enough to house four HDDs (MacOS) and at least two additional storage drives (boot OS), and run the four MacOS drives through virtual machine. The MacOS version will probably be no later than OS 10.15.7 for now, with a possible eventual upgrade in the (very not immediate) future. I'm hoping for hardware longevity and flexibility, and some cost effectiveness.
My questions to the community are:
1. Is anyone doing this successfully?
2. Are the complications more or less extreme than with a full hackintosh build?
3. Is it possible to, and/or would it be better to run my boot OS through a newer GPU while running the Virtual MacOS through my older, flashed GPU?
4. Are there any other questions that I should be asking or more information that I should be providing?
In any case, thank you to anyone who humors this sentimental, old buffoon.

15.4 Post Upgrade Video Lag
Anyone having video lag on youtube and other streaming sites post 15.4 upgrade ? The CPU usage is below 2% so not sure if this is related to others having a laggy desktop environment post upgrade.

Can not boot without USB
Hello, as the title suggests, when following the Dortania guide for booting without USB, I can not get it to show up as a boot option on my UEFI BIOS. To not waste anyones time; yes, I have formatted the disk as GUID and MacOS has created the EFI partition automatically. And I put the EFI folder on the root of the partition. Looking at EasyUEFI I can see the EFI is recognized as bootable but is pointing at EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.EFI instead of OpenCore.efi. When I try to change it or make a new entry pointing at OpenCore.efi it reverts back to its original state and I can not see it as a boot option on my BIOS. My motherboard is MSI B760-P. Any help would be appreciated!
Note: I tried to update the BIOS firmware to see if that was the culprit, it did not fix it.

Hello everyone,
I’m looking for help with my Hackintosh setup. So far, everything is working except hardware acceleration. I followed the Dortania guide and built my EFI from scratch, but I haven’t been able to get my iGPU (Intel UHD Graphics 620) to work, even after multiple attempts.
One issue I encountered was with the device-id property in DeviceProperties. Initially, my entire EFI wouldn’t boot because of it, and I spent days troubleshooting until I removed it. After that, macOS booted successfully, but without graphics acceleration.
I’ve tried different AAPL,ig-platform-id and device-id values, but nothing has worked so far. I’d really appreciate any guidance on getting my iGPU fully functional with acceleration.

I can't Get my Hackintosh Work because of the GPU GT 710 give error. Help!!
I configured Kepler Patcher v3 and macOS Monterey 12.6.1 with some boot args so it can boot into Safe Mode. Without Safe Mode, the operating system boots but there's no video. When I boot into Safe Mode, when I enter the password, it lets me access the desktop, then waits for 40 seconds, then logs me out. Then it tells me that Windows Server has stopped. How can I fix this, I need to use macOS on this computer. I'm attaching the specs:

[HELP] Want to completely removing Hackintosh from dual boot

It was amazing build. But yrs later I got my Macbook M1 Pro. I use my PC as Windows only. Now I decide completely removing Hackintosh(macOS drive), boot loader, EFI partition(if possible) and other relevant files from a dual booted system running Windows 10 safely, and let macOS drive to be use for Windows 10 as data drive. Here's my setup:
* CPU: Intel Core i5-10400
* MB: Gigabyte Z490 Vision-D
* OpenCore: 0.6.2
* extra Network adapter: Broadcom BCM4360 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter
* SSD:
* ADATA SX8200PNP -- macOS Catalina 10.15.7
* WDS100T3X0C -- Windows 10 Pro (x64) Build 19045.5679 (22H2)
I don't quiet remember how I setup dual boot yrs ago. So can I just simply change BIOS boot order to **Windows Boot Manager (WDS100T3X0C)**, and then format macOS drive(no data need to be keep)? How about OpenCore?
It will be great if I can remove all Hackintosh relevant files if it's possible. But I can live with it if only took a little bit storage to keep Windows 10 solid.

I am losing hope, for valid reasons
I just got introduced to this community because I was trying something new, which is learning dual boot with Mac and windows. EXTREME lag on sequoia after using Web Drivers patch for nvidia
today i successfully installed my first hackintosh on a ryzen 5 3600 + 1050ti (+1030 technically but that card is not even connected to the monitor). everything worked "fine" until i decided to finally get the oclp patches for gpu acceleration. the patch installed without any issue, however upon reboot system became unbearably slow. i could see that instead of the generic NVIDIA (0x10de) placeholders the gpus were actually recognized, i could change the display refresh rate, transparency appeared and animations worked "fine". however despite that, the actual system feels as if its running at 15 fps. everything is EXTREMELY slow and outright unusable. reverting the patch made system actually responsive again, however obviously all the previously mentioned benefits went away. if needed, i can provide a video. have anybody else experienced this? any help appreciated!!
also, could removing the 1030 possibly have an effect? im not actually using it but i just never really got to taking it out.

How to achieve h264 and hevc acceleration on a rx 5700xt?
Good evening everyone,
I am running hackintosh with the following specs:
1. Ryzen 3600
2. RX 5700xt
3. 32 gb of ram (4x8)
4. Native broadcom/airport card
5. Asus B550-F
6. Sonoma 15.3
7. "iMac 20,1"
I just recently did the hackintosh and most things work fine, just a couple of hiccups here and there.
I tried making a facetime call today and I could not see the other party. After browsing reddit I found out that I do not have hevc acceleration with my 5700xt. I could not see if anyone had accomplished this on Sonoma. Has anyone of you accomplished it? If so how?
Other small problems I have are:
1. Not being able to connect my hackintosh to internet via the lan port on the back of my mobo. The work around I use is an apple usb dongle, which works fine. The only issue is when I boot into windows my apple dongle does not work and I have to plug and unplug.
2. SideCar and using iPhone as webcam only work when I am connected via usb cable.

Unable to install macOS Ventura on HP build.
Hello, When I try to install macOS Ventura, I get the error “Your computer restarted because of a problem, press any key to continue or wait a few seconds.” After that an Apple logo with a progress bar will appear, and the bar will progress to about a quarter way through.
After that, the computer restarts and I get an error message, “BootDevice not found! Please install an operating system on your hard disk.” I have made sure the USB device is in the correct boot order, and I’m quite stuck.
Any thoughts? Thank you!

Error Message when in OC installer and selecting 2. Install macOS sequoia (external)
I am updating my hackintosh from Mojave (with clover) to Sequoia (with OpenCore) and I followed the OpenCore guide. I plugged in the boot USB and got to the opencore menu, and then selected the second option (Install macOS sequoia (external)) as instructed- and then got this screen. Does anyone know what issue I am running in to?
