Image shifted on UHD 630 (Sonoma & Sequoia)
I managed to install MacOS Sonoma through the official guide. But after the 2nd boot the image got weird. It's shifted to the left (and the most right pixel is repeated to fill the screen) and down.
This is not an issue with overscan, with my monitor, with my cable. In the BIOS everything is normal, and if I put back my old SSD with a Catalina installation everything is normal.
And everything was normal during installation and the first boot.
It's also not possible to use the AUTO ADJUST on the monitor, that's only available on VGA and I use DVI.
An update to Sequoia went fine, but the problem remained.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong here and how I can solve this?

Need help extracting BaseSystem.dmg from Monterey InstallAssistant.pkg on Windows
I'm trying to install macOS Monterey on my HP EliteBook 850 G2. It has an i7-5600U CPU with Intel HD 5500 graphics and 12GB of RAM. I'm running Windows and Ubuntu dual boot. I don’t have a Mac or working macOS VM right now.
I used gibMacOS on Windows to download macOS Monterey. It finished downloading and gave me the full InstallAssistant.pkg file which is about 12GB in size. Now I'm trying to use the MakeInstall.bat tool from gibMacOS to create a bootable recovery USB but it's asking for the BaseSystem.dmg and BaseSystem.chunklist files inside a com.apple.recovery.boot folder. I can't find them.
I extracted the InstallAssistant.pkg using 7-Zip and got the Payload. Then I navigated to the Applications > Install macOS Monterey.app > Contents directory. But there’s no SharedSupport folder or any InstallESD.dmg. I only see some XML and JSON files inside AssetData and a couple of ZIP files.
I also get some errors while extracting saying I don’t have permission to create symbolic links which I guess is a Windows limitation
I do have an ISO file of Monterey too. I’m not sure if I can just use that instead of trying to extract BaseSystem manually. I also once managed to run Catalina in VirtualBox a long time ago so if using a VM is the only way I can try that again
So what’s the best option here Should I keep trying to extract BaseSystem from InstallAssistant.pkg or is there an easier method I’m fine using the ISO if it works I just want to get the recovery files needed to make the USB
Any help would be really appreciated thanks

Hackintosh on ThinkPad X200
Hi, I'm helping my friend to build an EFI for his "shiny new" ThinkPad X200
Here are the specs:
\- CPU: Core 2 Duo P8400
\- Memory: 4GB
\- SSD 128GB (or 256GB, he has 2, whatever)
\- Wi-Fi: Intel 6205
Does it Hackintosh-able? And where I can find the guide? Thanks for your attention.

I NEED HELP WITH MY FAN CONTROL
I successfully Hackintoshed my Lenovo ThinkPad T480, and everything works almost perfectly—except for the fan control. I used Macs Fan Control to adjust it more precisely, but the current reading shows 0 RPM. However, my fan still runs normally, just at a fixed default speed. When the CPU heats up, the fan doesn’t spin faster; it stays at that same speed. Previously, when I used someone else’s EFI from the internet, the fan speed was displayed, but I couldn’t control it

Hackintosh Asus tuf f15 - mediatek
I managed to install ( in fact multiple times with success) mac os sequoia 15.5 on my asus tuf.
All usuals working fine. But I am desperately want/need my inbuilt mediatek wifi and bluetooth configure successfully. I know after reading lots of posts and blogs that its not possible, still I m hopeful and looking towards the expert panel of reddit to help me out here..
Audio is working but seems single channel, not crisp and loud like in windows os.
Display good, had to install brightness slider to shift brightness, though display is still missing appley charm..
Any to the point guide would go a long way experts. Thanks

HELP NEEDED | Intel AX210 Sequoia 15.5 Bluetooth
SPECS:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700u (laptop)
Vega 10 graphics patched with Nootedred kext
12gb DDR4
(Currently running macOS off an external USB SSD because my Samsung NVMe isn't compatible and I've got a WD NVMe drive coming from eBay)
Intel AX210 wireless card
I'm trying to get Bluetooth working on a Sequoia 15.5 hack. Nothing seems to work, Bluetooth auto toggles off after a few seconds.
What I've tried:
\- Firmware+Patcher+Fixup kexts, in the correct order with Lilu at the very top. Latest versions from Github.
\-NVRAM entries for Donglefailed and ControllerInfo, with 28 '0's
\-Secure boot disabled
\-btlfxallowanyaddr arg
The Bluetooth controller shows up under About This Mac - System Report - USB so it isn't a mapping issue. I got WiFi working by following the Sequoia guide without any problems.

New to the sub, is there a certain platform that's least effort to get running?
I need to run FCP for some collabs and have boatloads of Wintel hardware at my disposal. Have you guys gotten it running on modern commodity hardware (Asus/MSI mobos), or is a standard platform like NUC better supported?

Laptop advice.
I’m a freelance fullstack developer and lately I’ve been wanting to branch out a little more. Awhile back I wanted to delve into mobile apps and took the time to learn React Native, but tbh I don’t really wanna deal with using Expo/EAS for the iOS side of things…and I would loveeee to start learning Swift.
While my old MacBook Air (2017) would get the job done, it really isn’t the most ideal option (imo) for this. Since I’d prefer to not go the vm route if possible, I’ve instead been looking into doing a dual boot setup. Based on my research so far my current laptop should support Sequoia no problem and possibly even Tahoe. Unfortunately tho my Bluetooth and WiFi wouldn’t work and would require a dongle (🤢).
Luckily tho I’m currently shopping around for a new gaming laptop to buy at the end of the year!! I was hoping to get some advice on what to purchase or keep an eye out for regarding a dual boot setup. Ideally I’d loveeee to find a laptop that wouldn’t require a dongle for things or be too much of a hassle hardware wise to allow for this.
Are there any laptops that I should check out that might, relatively speaking, work “out of the box”?? Or rather are there any laptops that would be ideal to use for this?? I’m wanting to buy a nicer high end laptop for gaming so I know that what I want may end up not being possible. If necessary I’ll just end up just buying a Mac Mini but I’d love to find a suitable gaming laptop if possible! Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks so much!
