Is it still complicated?
I want to try macOS, but I'm intimidated by customizing kexts and stuff. It just kills all desire, I would like everything to be automated. And also I don't fully understand compatibility. Will i5-12400F even fit? Also as far as I know, nvidia 4060 cards don't work. Does that mean I won't be able to use macOS? I don't have an integrated video core
Is there a very easy way in the form of ready universal files?

Wrong frame buffer patching but it works?
Hi! So, as per my title, the key name for patching my framebuffer is wrong. Yet, I have proper GPU acceleration, and display output works! When I switch it from "layout-id" to "AAPL,ig-platform-id", it is just a black screen. Should I still fix this or leave it as it is? Does it impact performance that I don't know of? Anyway, sorry for my bad english. It ain't my first language. Thank you!

I need help with updating
Every time i updated to sequioa from Ventura it says internet problems but i swear it works fine no intrups so i want to upgrade to Sonoma using a usb with losing any data it there anything i can do please help

Lack of info or expect everything on a silver plater
I have noticed the lack of information when posting a query or asking to get everything due to lack of knowledge.
1) lack of info:
so may posts asking if 'my laptop would work' but without any real info as
Make and model, CPU and eGPU if any.
the above should be the absolute minimum before asking if the laptop can do.
2) Why people do not do their home work 1st.
After all in most cases a simple search as 'HP ProBook 440 G10 Hackintosh' will give you some indications if it has been done or else.
3) Expectation.
Some people seems to leave/want the dream. Hackintosh will never be 100% a Mac. Mind you, you can get pretty close.
An old Laptop might run MacOS but which flavour? Yes you can patch, etc... to make it work. But is it worth it if you really want to do proper work with it.
My 'iMac' runs Sequoia but on Intel it becomes limited. Some Apps do not get full update for Intel flavour, XCode, you can do much more on Mx. But my games still run perfectly.
4) RTFM
Sadly in my line of work, I see the same trend. Easier to ask someone than read any 'manual' or even search for info. Basically to put it bluntly 'can you sort it for me'
Long time ago, I spend lot of time looking for info, how to to get my Clover USB to boot to get my Hackintosh running. It was part of the game and a very interesting learning curve. I did really enjoy it.
But one thing for sure I never expected for someone to do the job for me.

Hi ! I successfully installed MacOS 14 on my Lenovo Ideapad 3 15ACL6 using OpCore Simplify (I just followed their README.md)
Everything works perfectly except for wifi

Problem 1: I'm having horrible battery backup (1 hour at best) with Sequoia.
Problem 2: Track-pad acting weird. Right tap not working reliably. Multiple taps needed.
I used to get 3 hours worth of backup with Sonoma 14.6. The kexts and everything are almost the same. I don't know where I went wrong. Any help guys?

Need help asap!!
So I tried installing macos using an online tutorial, spent the last 3 hours on it, creating the EFI and whatnot and I finally can get into the boot menu thingy, where I select Windows/Mac etc.
Running AMD 5800X3D, b450 mobo and 6800XT.
The problem is once I click on Mac, it just does this. I am at a loss, please help!!

Help! Animation bug in MacOS (Hackintosh, Baldur Gates 3)
Hi! The FPS is very stable, the problem would be with the visual effects and particles, it shows these effects only at specific times, when for example I enter basic attack mode, but when I try to use a skill it stops showing again.
I tried all possible graphics levels: low, medium, high. I also tested some resolutions, but without success. Has anyone experienced something similar or know what I can do?

I bought the game for my brother on his Steam, he has Windows, and it works perfectly, I saw that it had portability for MacOS and tested it, if it worked I would buy it for my account, I managed to download it using Steam's family mode.

Need to setup a Hackintosh dualbooting from my win10 setup so I can jump between the 2
I was able to set something up before, but had a Wi-Fi card that didn't have drivers, i'm hardwired with Cat6 now so no issues with internet connectivity
It would need to be between MacOS 11 - 13
I think the biggest wall is related to Graphics drivers if I recall
Can anyone throw me some quick info on basic setup such as Mac Device ID, if it's possible, which OS, etc.

Opencore freezes
Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with OpenCore where my system keeps freezing. Sometimes it freezes right at the start during the boot process, and other times it happens while installing macOS. It doesn’t seem to matter which macOS version I try—High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, you name it—the freezing persists. I’m pretty sure the problem is tied to OpenCore itself, but I can’t figure out what’s going wrong.

OpenCore has Outdated Instructions for Dual Booting with Linux?
I'm new to hackintoshing and decided to dual boot MacOS Sequoia with Fedora Linux on my ThinkPad E14, following the guide...
But it tells us to add "ext4_x64.efi" which isn't even found in the zip folder. Is the guide outdated? Should I use Ext4Dxe.efi instead?

KVM causing choppy USB Audio when using Mic
I have a AT2020USB+ connected to my KVM, then going to my Hackintosh and work MacBook Pro.
When I enable the audio output to the AT2020USB+ and the Mic input to the AT2020USB+, the audio gets broken and very choppy. If I plug directly into my Hackintosh bypassing the KVM (not ideal) then it works flawlessly. Attached to the KVM it works flawlessly on my work MacBook Pro and my Linux partition on the same machine as the Hackintosh.
If I select different audio output the issue goes away. If I select my Logitech C920 (plugged into the same KVM) for the microphone and the AT2020USB+ as the output I experience the same issue.
As far as I can tell, looking at the system profiler, everything is showing up the same on the Hackintosh as it is the MacBook Pro.
Any help or direction would be appreciated. Would like to keep it plugged into the KVM so I'm not having to manually plug it into and out of the 2 systems.

Black screen on Kepler - Sequoia 15.3.2 - OCLP 2.2.0
Hi guys, I recently updated my hackintosh from 14.6 to Sequoia 15.3.2. Since my machine got a GT710, I want to use it to reduce the workload for onboard iGPU. Previously on Sonoma I patched with OCLP and it was working fine.
After updating to Sequoia, I root patch with OCLP 2.2.0 again, but then the screen output from iGPU is black, while the screen output from Kepler GPU is up. I checked on System information and it shows both working. I can drag my mouse to the second screen, the mouse cursor shows, but the whole screen is just black.
If I revert OCLP root patches, the iGPU screen is up but the screen from dGPU is not working again.
Have anyone encountered the same issue or have any clues for my case? Thanks in advance.
