How can I get instant wake with ZERO flickers like a real MacBook? 😭
Hey guys!
I'm on a mission here and I need some help from the Hackintosh gods.
So I’ve been trying to make my laptop wake up from sleep just like a real MacBook — instantly, as soon as I slightly lift the lid, the display turns on, the GPU is already ready, no delay, no glitches, no flickers… you know, that Apple magic 🍏✨
BUT NOOOOO… what do I get?
👉 A black screen for a couple seconds
👉 Weird flickers/flashes when waking up
👉 And sometimes it looks like the iGPU is taking a coffee break before actually waking up 😵💫
Here’s my setup:
Laptop: HP EliteBook 840 G5
CPU/iGPU: Intel i5-8250U — UHD 620 (Kaby Lake R)
macOS: Sonoma
OpenCore: 1.0.3
I’ve tried tweaking everything: DeviceProperties, boot-args, ACPI patches, even custom SSDTs to prevent the iGPU from sleeping... but I either end up in boot loops 😭 or it just does nothing.
What I really want is:
✅ Instant wake, just like real Macs

If i click on it i can choose between "Usb Controller" and "Base System Peripherial" and i can disable all of them an then my hackintosh crash and reboot.
How can i remove then? I don't want to drag+cmd anymore to remove it.

Audio works well, through DP too. Just sleep don't because i don't care about and i just disabled it.
I was having just a problem, i was getting some system freeze for a few seconds(not a panic, like the entire system is not responding, just the cursor can move) but after made my mmio whitelist, i just got one freeze in the first minutes of usage at my next uses of my computer, so i think is not a coincidence, maybe the problem it's fixed. But if you already seen some problem like mine, please tell me if i can do something more.

Spoofing intel wifi.
Hi, i need airport wifi connectivity on sequoia (asus x515ja) i have a intel wireless ac 8265 installed. I tried spoofing to broadcom and root patching. I followed elitenacx86 tutorial but its not working. Cant enable wifi. Any tips?

No matter what I do I can’t get Hardware accelerated graphics working. UHD Graphics 630
I think it has something to do with frame buffering. Is it possible?

My audio does not work
As the title says, my audio does not work, and I have a Cirrus Logic CS8409. VoodooHDA.kext did not work, and it is weird because one MacBook Pro had this exact audio card so there is no reason why it shouldn't be supported.

Recommended macOS version with this hardware?
I've been running my hackintosh for around 5 years now [having started on Big Sur](https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/rqi4kn/big_sur_1161_with_open_core_075/) and more recently moved to Monterey 12.6.2.
I've tried a couple of times to upgrade via the software update but it always fails, so I'm thinking I might take the time to start from scratch with a new version of macOS, but unsure what version to go for with the below hardware:
* Intel i9-9900K
* ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero Z390
* Crucial Ballistix Sport 2 x 16GB 2400 MHz DDR4
* Saphire Pulse Radeon RX 580
* Samsung 980 500GB NVMe
I don't mind not being back up to date if I'll get better performance but equally Monterey is pretty old in macOS terms now.
Any recommendations or thoughts much appreciated.

DIY imac 5k 27" monitor help
Hi, I have an imac 2015 late model lcd that I want to repurpose as a stand-alone monitor. The lcd's model is LM270QQ1 SDA2 with the front glass on, and I'd like to keep it on.
I don't have the original imac shell and I wanted some advice for mounting it either in a new frame or on some block and use a stand to hold it.
Are there any ways to screw it somehow without using glue?

HDMI Audio issue on Intel HD620
I'm running Sequoia 15.4 on HP Prodesk 260 G3 (i3 Kaby Lake, Intel HD620 iGPU). I've finally managed to get HDMI Audio working OK BUT only if I boot with the VGA plugged in as well as HDMI. If I boot with just HDMI connected then I get display OK but no HDMI audio until the VGA is connected. Attached config if anyone has any ideas as to why this might be happening. Help with windows 7 and a 2012 Macbook pro
I own a 2012 Macbook pro with windows 10 installed. Now I would like to install windows 7 to replace windows 10. (I know it is not secure) Idle its at 95% cpu usage. I plan to use it as a testing device not too online heavy and maybe some light gaming. But my bigest concren is drivers. Also how do I open the setup.exe and install from windows 10? As I know you cant install older version of windows from windows.

vmmapunwire: entry is unwired
I’ve been working on getting a Hackintosh running macOS X Snow Leopard (10.6.0) on my old Dell Inspiron 6400, and I keep running into kernel panics related toLilu.kext. I've attached images of the panics.
panic(cpu 1 caller ...): "vm_map_unwire: entry is unwired"
I'm using OpenCore as my bootloader, and my config loads Lilu.kext alongside other essential kexts. From my understanding, the version of Lilu I'm using should be compatible with Snow Leopard, but it looks like Lilu is triggering a memory-related crash shortly after reaching the desktop.
# System Specs:
Laptop: Dell Inspiron 6400
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200
GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (256MB)
Wi-Fi: Apple Airport BCM94322MC (working natively)
macOS version: Snow Leopard 10.6.0 (10a432)
Bootloader: OpenCore 1.0.4
I’d love to hear from someone who’s either encountered this same issue or (even better) found a working solution. I know I’m using pretty old software and hardware with OpenCore which is primarily designed for more recent macOS versions, but based on the Dortania Guide on GitHub, it should be possible to get OpenCore and Lilu (with a limited number of plugins) working on this macOS version.

Not sure how to get MacOS installed to do dual boot with Windows 11. Gave it a small try and failed.
I couldn’t get the boot device for MacOS to show in the boot loader. It’s beyond complicated. Does anyone have any experience with dual booting a Dell Latitude 3400 and how to get it to work properly with Windows and MacOS? Any and all help/advice would be greatly appreciated! I’m new to this and I’m pulling my hair out trying to figure it out!

iGPU works only in VESA mode

I'm trying to install Big Sur on this machine (https://objects.icecat.biz/objects/mmo\_37072271\_1523345321\_3973\_26767.pdf) (i5 7600) and the HD 630 iGPU works only in VESA mode. Also when I put the igfxvesa boot arg there's no graphics acceleration.

So how does one install a newer version of MacOS to an external HDD from their current HDD (sorry if this is confusing just read at the bottom)
So my internal HDD has mojave on it, and i really don't want to get rid of it. I play a lot of 32bit games, and do other things with Mojave. But the problem is, i really would like to try out Big Sur or the like, and my question is.
Can i install the newer MacOS version to my external drive, get the needed EFI folder and etc, and be able to boot into that external HDD seperately from my main drive? Like i said, i don't want to get rid of Mojave but i would really like to use some of the more up-to-date features Big Sur and newer has to offer.
So can anyone maybe guide me? Sorry if these kinda posts are redundant i just don't know how i would go about this.

Will Hackintosh 11+ work on Intel i5 2400 with VGA?
I can't use DP as it's not available in my monitor, my PC only has VGA+DP And the integrated HD Graphics

Issue with OpenCore
I am attempting a hackintosh build with an HP Pavilion DV6T. I built the config for the system, and used the legacy downloader to obtain MacOS Ventura (recovery) but for some reason when I boot into my boot selection screen, I only get the opencore UEFI. When I select it, it boots to the opencore loader but the only options i get are "opencore.efi" and "reset NVram". It cant seem to detect the recovery image. I have
The specs of the laptop are:
I7-3630QM (Ivy Bridge)
Intel HM77 Express (chipset)
8GB DDR3 (RAM)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M
500GB SSD (Upgraded from 1TB HDD).
I would like to note that even the windows partition doesnt show in the menu. I have pressed space in the OC menu and dont get any options other than what i said above. I have hideauxiliary set to true per the OC guide for Ivy Bridge devices.
If anyone needs to see my config, let me know and ill send it when i have the chance. I could really use the help to get this finished up. Thank you 😅
