Intel AX201, Mac OS Sonoma 14.7
Hi,
Out of boredom I've decided to make yet another hackintosh from one of my laptops. I'm using AX201 wifi card on CNVi (not the pci one), and cannot get it to work. I've already tried using two versions of airportitlwm and itlwm + heliport. I've ready that CNVi card were not supported few years ago, has anything changed?
Here is what Hackintool and itlwm log shows:

Need Help with Installing Sequoia on I5 5200U - Broadwell U
Hi, I Need Help with Installing Sequoia on I5 5200U
System:
Intel core I5 5200U -BroadwellU
Internal Graphics.
This Maps to MacBookPro12,1 as per OpenCore Guide.
I have gone through all the guide Dortania OpenCore
Generated EFI as per this guide. Generated SMBIO info for MacBookPro12,1
With this I am able to install macOS 12.7.6 Monterey. It is working fine except Audio and internal wifi not working but I have external USB wifi which works with Wireless USB Big Sur Adapter
I want to install Sequoia but no success after countless failed attempts.
What I have tried:
1. Take the EFI I created for MacBookPro12,1. Keeping kext, ACPI same. Update SMBIO to MacBookPro16,4 using GenSMBIO to generate serialNum etc. This EFI runs into problem as shown in atttached snap.
https://preview.redd.it/ik7agnb5tnbf1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=efc71d61d60b7856da949f5c55d88671eaf6b797
2)
Boot into macos 12, installed OCLP.
1. Set target model to MacBookPro12,1 build and generate EFI. - Not working. Getting stuck at boot. I have attached snap.
2. in OCLP -> SMBIOS. Update spoof to advanced, Spoof model to MacBookPro16,4 and generate S/N, Build and install EFI. -- Not Working. runs into same problem.

I have attached my OC here. that I used for 1)
I have Secure boot, fast boot disabled. and Keeping Hyper Virtualization On.
Do I need to disable TPM Module?
Am I doing it right? missing any step here? Please help. Thank you so much..

What is the last macOS version that supports analog video output via VGA?
I want to try running macOS on my old PC. However, the only video output option available is VGA, which, from what I’ve read, is not supported by newer versions of macOS. I'm wondering what the last macOS version is that supports analog video output with full graphics acceleration.
The system specs are as follows:
Intel Core i3-4130 CPU
Intel HD Graphics 4400
Thanks in advance!

error on OC: "startimage failed - aborted"
I'm trying to Hackintosh on some older hardware, my specs:
CPU: Intel i5-2400 (Sandy Bridge)
GPU: Nvidia GT 710 (Kepler)
RAM: 8GB DDR3
BIOS: Legacy (but Windows shows UEFI support)
OpenCore version: 1.0.5 (latest, Debug)
The issue I'm facing happens during boot. In the log and verbose output, I get the following messages:
OCB: StartImage failed - Aborted
OCB: Boot failed - Aborted
boot-args:
`debug=0x100 keepsyms=1 -no_compat_check -v`
Kexts:

A few users recommended using the MacPro6,1 SMBIOS, but I'm not fully confident changing it until someone confirms it's the right one for my setup.
(I've already searched for help on reddit and other OC subreddits, but I couldn't fix it, so I decided to make a post too.)

macOS 15 on i3-10100 Comet Lake and UHD 630 or 2011 GPUs. Motherboard 500s
Hello, here are my PC specs:
* i3-10100 Comet Lake
* Intel UHD Graphics 630 GT2+
* ASRock H510M-HVS
I also have other GPUs:
* Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT (2008)
* AMD Radeon HD 6670 (2011)
I'm not using OpenCore.
And no, I'm not dumb — I know the 500-series motherboards don’t output video from the UHD 630 iGPU.
It runs Metal and full acceleration, but I get a black screen (I’ve tried VGA, HDMI, and VGA to HDMI adapters).
If I disable acceleration, then the screen works — just without acceleration.
If I enable acceleration, I get a black screen (no backlight, monitor goes to sleep).
I tried setting the monitor to lower HDMI versions (1.4 & 2.0) and changed the PC to AV mode — still black screen.
Someone with the same CPU but a 400-series ASUS motherboard (no dGPU) got it working. But my 500-series board won’t show any image unless a dGPU is installed.
I can’t find an RX 550 — it’s hard to get. I need a GPU from 2012 or newer that supports Metal.
I tried both of my GPUs — they work, but no acceleration when enabled, and they have low VRAM.
The UHD 630 shows only 14MB VRAM after enabling acceleration — black screen again. But it’s actually using 1.5GB VRAM with full acceleration — I just can’t see anything!
I’ve seen a late 2009 iMac running macOS 12+ with a 2009 GPU (512MB) that doesn’t support Metal — but it's working using OpenCore Legacy Patcher.
I wanted to try Hackintosh, but I only have a real Mac.
Any idea how to get a good GPU, or run OpenCore Legacy Patcher on a real Mac instead of a Hackintosh?
I wish I could force the AMD Radeon HD 6670 (2011) to enable full acceleration and ignore graphics errors — or just get a newer GPU.
Please recommend the best AMD or Nvidia GPU (2012 or newer) with **2GB+ VRAM only** (not 1GB or lower).
I want to use the AMD Radeon HD 6670 for display, and have the Intel UHD Graphics 630 provide full acceleration.
I enabled iGPU Multi-Display support, but the system gets stuck on the ASRock logo for 10–20 minutes, then loads extremely slowly — still hasn’t booted.
My old broken GTX 650 Ti Boost worked with both Nvidia and Intel UHD 630 in 2023.
I think older GPUs don’t support dual-GPU setups well.
I tested the GeForce 9500 GT with iGPU Multi-Display ON — still stuck or extremely slow to boot.
GTX 650 Ti Boost worked and booted successfully with both GPUs.
I want to force the AMD Radeon HD 6670 to connect to the monitor, and let the UHD 630 handle full acceleration.
It’s a shame the ASRock H510M won’t display video from the iGPU — only 400-series boards work perfectly.

UI lag in hackintosh
Hey everyone,
I’ve successfully installed macOS Ventura, Sonoma, and even Sequoia on my Dell Latitude 5410 (specs below), and overall everything is working fine — audio, graphics, sleep, etc.
Specs:
Intel Core i5-10310U
8GB DDR4 RAM
256GB Consistent-branded SSD
Intel AX201 Wi-Fi card (replaced with compatible card where needed)
Intel integrated uhd 620 1536mb graphics working great
The issue I’m running into is UI lag, especially noticeable in the System Settings. For example, when I click on an option (like Network, Displays, etc.), it takes around 1.5–2 seconds before the menu opens. The delay happens consistently and across all three macOS versions I tried.
I’ve seen videos of other Hackintosh builds running these versions of macOS way more smoothly, with no noticeable delay in the Settings app. Is this kind of lag normal for my hardware, or is there something wrong with my setup (e.g., framebuffer, SSD speed, missing ACPI patches, etc.)?
Would really appreciate any insight from folks with similar setups or experience optimizing performance on newer macOS versions.
Thanks

Worth getting into the world of Hackintosh at this point?
Hey all, just rediscovered this place after 9 years--for context I used to have an El Capitan Hackintosh dual boot back on my first PC build but have completely forgotten about it since. I have now finally reached EOL in terms of driver / Windows OS compatibility with that same build and was planning to repurpose it into a home server or linux machine, until I remembered the Hackintosh community and thought a desktop "Mac" would be a helpful and worthy purpose.
My main question, since I just saw the unfortunate news that Apple is releasing their last Intel-compatible macOS, is whether it is worth it to try to get into Hackintosh-ing at this point, given any learning curve that may be present for a beginner and the inevitability of even stable old OSes eventually losing software compatibility. If the consensus is that the learning curve is not too bad and given that a terminal macOS version would still probably have several years of viability and support after release, then it's probably worth it especially since the hardware in this PC holds up pretty well for its age.
Computer specs:
Corsair COHSH80I
Hydro Series H80i v2 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
MSI MSZ170AGMGM3
Z170A GAMING M3 ATX Motherboard (Will be replaced with a similar model)
Intel Core i5-6500 Skylake Quad 3.2GHz LGA1151 65W BX80662I56500 CPU
AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB Graphics Card
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Memory
How would these parts do in a macOS install nowadays, and would any of them run into any particular compatibility issues on setup of the installation?

After Upgrading to Tahoe Beta directly from Sequoia and does the second reboot, it immediately jumps to login screen without the usual verbose output and just not let you login. you have to enter Recovery and decrypt your drives using diskutil to regain your data, otherwise, you have to format everything...I nearly did because there is no indication as to why it wont let you login using correct credential.
