Force RGB Output on Sequoia
Hey everyone, does anyone here know how to force Sequoia to use RGB?
I have an RX 6900 XT connected via HDMI to a 4K 120Hz OLED LG C4, but macOS is outputting YCbCr 4:2:0 instead of RGB, and some colors look really off ;/

Hi, I have a questions
Somebody here who Configure OpenCore for laptop DELL LATITUDE 7490 and mini pc DELL OPTIPLEX 7070 MICRO ?
I need help because when I boot macOS Sonoma and Sequoia on laptop I have gray screen with mouse poninter. I try spoof graphics, add boot arguments and change SMBIOS but nothing happens.
In micro pc I install macOS Sequoia but pc rebooted in macOS Installer option at 25%. I try change SMBIOS, add boot arguments but same effect as laptop.

Fixing Brightness Control Broke Bluetooth?
Hey all, I’ve got a strange Hackintosh issue that I haven’t seen fully explained anywhere.
System:
• Dell Inspiron 13 7378
• i3-7100U with Intel HD 620
• macOS 14.4
• SMBIOS: MacBookPro16,1
• USB fully mapped (Bluetooth on internal HS port, type 255)
🔍 The Situation:
At one point, I added igfxfw=2 to boot-args to get brightness control working.
It did work, brightness slider showed up and worked perfectly ✅
But after that, Bluetooth started acting weird:
• Turning on Bluetooth from Control Center just keeps loading, then eventually stops
• In System Settings, toggling Bluetooth turns itself off again after a few seconds
• System Report shows Bluetooth Address: NULL
Now, even if I:
• Remove igfxfw from boot-args
• Reset NVRAM
👉 Brightness control still works
👉 Bluetooth stays broken with NULL address
✅ What I’ve Tried:
• Boot-args: tested igfxfw, igfxdvmt=32, -igfxblr
• AAPL,ig-platform-id: 00001659
• Fully remapped USB ports using USBTool
• NVRAM resets
And this isn’t a new issue. It’s not my first time Hackintoshing this system, the same thing happened the last time I tried. Fixing brightness control ended up breaking Bluetooth. Back then, I gave up entirely and removed macOS. But this time, I actually want to keep it as a secondary OS (dual-booting Windows and macOS) for iPhone-related reasons, so I’m really trying to get it working properly now. I'm also running into issues with AppleALC, where even after testing multiple alcids, supported by my card, I get no sound. On System Report it doesn't even recognize the card, but that I think I can fix on my own, if not I'll come back.

An error occurred preparing the software update - macOS Sequoia
Hi There!
I'm trying to update my hackintosh to macOS Sequoia, but it keeps giving me the same problem.
Hardware:
Mobo: P8B75-M LE
CPU: i7-3770 (Ivy Bridge)
GPU: GTX 780 Ti
RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz
Ethernet: RTL8111
Doing a clean install, the download completes successfully, but on the "About 30 minutes remaining" screen, the countdown continues for about 20-15 minutes, and then it returns to the installer with the error "An error occurred preparing the software update."
I tried changing the EFI twice; I've attached both.

UHD 630 Stuck before initial setup
So, I did it. Thanks to the Hackintosh community's support and a few nights later, I managed to install macOS Tahoe on my HP EliteBook 1050 G1. (Remember, HP).
However, there's no GPU hardware acceleration whatsoever. And in the initial setup of the os, after the O
Privacy and Data Pop-Up, the background goes black (Tahoe walpaper at boot -> Gray so lag is slightly better -> Black after clicking continue in Privacy and Data step where two people are handshaking), the cursor is visible for a while, then it goes back to console mode, logs a bunch of stuff and restarts.
I guess that's because of graphics and the new liquid glass thing being heavier than previous UI to run, however, verifications are extremely welcome 🤗.
So I didn't stop here and decided to try fixing the graphics. I tried literally 10 different platform IDs from WhateverGreen 's docs, correctly doing the little-endian conversion and left padding, but the screen was either completely black right at the moment where the os was trying to initialize graphics, or it showed random bars and crashed immediately.
I've set video memory to 512MB in the BIOS, but I also tried patching the frame buffer with no success. Backlights fix? Nope. Updating kexts, nope.
I asked Copilot, and it said to me that it's because of HP's weirdness with the internal laptop display port and suggested a patch, however, it didn't work. I think this one is worth more investigation.
Do you have any ideas? I'm one step away to experiencing Hackintosh and it's so exciting. Thanks for your help!

Early Impression:
Very Stable, almost the same as Sequoia, A LOT MORE STABLE than Sequoia Beta as I literally gave up on it a few days in.
Animations are good, stable and fast, the UI is beautiful in dark mode, the glass effect is a lot more usable in dark mode, the light mode is VERY UGLY!!
Features I like:
both the menu bar and dock can now be hidden and get full screen with just snapping...didn't like desktop switching for full screen...
issues:
\- AppleALC, VoodooHDA's sound quality is almost as good as AppleALC, tbh
\- Native WiFi
\- Only USB 2.0 working currently, I will redo the mapping to check if it works and I made a mistake...

Trouble With Opencore Installer: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0 on Dell XPS 9560 7700HQ UHD 630
I've tried several different framebuffers, I'm worried that there's more of an issue beyond that. This is my first hack, it's been fun to learn, but I've been stuck here for the last few days. I've read through the docs, looked for relevant boot args, etc.

Wake error while trying to launch Ventura Installer (R5 4600H)
Hi, I've got an Issue (first hackintosh).
So, I followed Dortania's guide on my laptop: ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (2021) with specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 4600H (6 cores, 12 threads)
Nvidia GTX 1650m (disabled via NootedRed "-wegnoegpu")
Kingston A400 SSD 960GB
I installed required kexts, I have needed SSDTs (SSDT-EC.aml, SSDT-USBX.aml)
But when I try to boot into the installer, I got meet up by: (Check Picture Provided) and either it freezes or it throws me back to bootmenu, choosing my main drive.
For config.plist I used Dortania's guide for Ryzen and Threadripper.
My SMBios is set up correctly for iMac20,1.

A Question
Hey everyone, I just successfully installed macOS Ventura on my ThinkPad T480 and it’s been running great — smooth and stable so far with no major issues. Now I’m thinking about upgrading to macOS Sequoia and was wondering: is it possible on this hardware, and how stable is it? Has anyone tried Sequoia yet on a T480 or similar build? Any help, tips, or shared experiences would be really appreciated! Here are my specs:

Hackintosh on Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (14ADA05)
Hey everyone, I’m completely new to Hackintosh and would really appreciate some guidance 🙏
I’m using a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (14ADA05) and I was wondering if it’s even realistically possible to install macOS on this machine.
Specs -
CPU: AMD Athlon Gold 3150U
GPU: Integrated Radeon Graphics
RAM: 4GB
Storage: 256GB
Wi‑Fi: Realtek 8822CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC (i know it’ll not work for this environment)
I ran my system through OpenCore Simplify, but I’m not really sure how to understand the results. I read that AMD CPUs and Realtek Wi-Fi might not work well with macOS, so I’m not sure if I’m wasting my time or not.
Since I’m a total beginner:
Is there anyone who managed to get macOS working on this model (or something similar)?
Is it worth trying on this setup, or is it going to be too much hassle for a first timer?

Bluetooth issue
I have tried multiple solutions like changing efi etc but the problem is my Bluetooth randomly while using stops working on hackintosh sequoia or tahoe and it stops working for 5 or 10 mins then it turns on how do I fix also I have all the kext but still I'm facing this issue

Broadcom bluetooth issue
After months of research, i managed to install sonoma on an old laptop i received from my friend. Since the wifi+bluetooth card it originally has is not supported by macos, i bought a Bcm94360hmb, which cost me around 15usd. After installing a bunch of plist, wifi works fine. But for bluetooth, everytime when reboot it changes its mac address. So the problem is that I'll have to reconnect to all my devices again in settings every time when I starts my laptop. Also those devices i connected to did not shown in the my devices section.

iMessage & Facetime Login Loop After iPhone Upgrade
Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone call help me out!
I have been using my Hackintosh reliably for months! My primary use case is as a server for BlueBubbles. My AppleID was logged in & iMessage/Facetime/FindMy was working fine. I just upgraded to the iPhone 16 pro today and now, all of sudden, I was logged out of iMessage & Facetime on my Hackintosh... I am unable to log back in. Curiously, my AppleID has remained logged in & things seem to be working fine there, but iMessage/Facetime are now having issues.
If I attempt to log in to iMessage, a few things might happen...
It either immediately re-prompts me for login
I get logged in momentarily, then it closes & re-prompts
I get logged in, it seems stable but never loads new messages. I head to messages -> preferences -> iMessage and see the spinning wheel as if it has not synced
Facetime simply re-prompts immediately after each attempt.
My specifics...
Running in a Proxmox (v8.3.5) VM
Mac OS Monterey (v12.0.1)
Memory allocated: 8GB
CPUs allocated: 4 \[Penryn\]
BIOS: OVMF (UEFI)
Machine: q35
Network vmxnet3
I followed plenty of tutorials a few months ago and went through the whole set up process. Things worked. Though I can't recall the specifics, I used OpenCore & Clover, I was able to verify a serial number, I set the network device correctly. If there is anything you're curious about, let me know and I can gather that information.
Testing...
Restored PVE backup from 10 days ago (when it was working)
Logged out of all other Apple devices so my email was the only valid iMessage method
Set DNS to Googles within the MAC (DNS Leak check reports Cloudflares however... can't figure why...)
I can ping gs.apple.com
Logged into another MAC (real MAC mini) and that worked.
This may be relevant... a few days ago, I swapped sim and registered an old iPhone XS with iMessage and didn't face this issue. Only now that I upgraded to the 16 PRO did this happen.
I suspect this is a syncing issue with Apple after the phone upgrade. I find it too coincidental to be unrelated to the upgrade / messing with my AppleID. Any and all suggestions are welcome! Let me know if you would like any more information.

Virtualization of MacOS on iPadOS
This might be a dumb question, but shouldn’t it be easier to emulate newer macOS versions on M-series iPads?
I mean, since both iPads and newer Macs use Apple Silicon, wouldn’t that make the architecture similar enough to make macOS emulation smoother or more feasible on iPadOS? Or are there deeper limitations that prevent this from being practical or even possible?
Just curious if anyone here has tried this or knows more about the technical barriers

Continuity features missing
Today my WiFi/BT card (BCM94360) finally arrived and I set it up with Sequoia according to the instructions. AirDrop and Handoff work normally, but I can't for the life of me get Continuity Camera to work. I tried everything I could think of and no luck. Now, I am using an iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS which I need for proper DRM support in Safari, since iMac19,1 expects an iGPU and I don't have one. I also have revpatch=svbnm to fix T2 requirement issues for OTAs. Does this have any effect on the Continuity features? Why would AirDrop work but no Continuity?
Funnily enough, I made my spare ThinkPad into a hack and it uses AirportItlwm and it actually asked me if I wanted to use my iPhone as a camera in FaceTime, even though it wouldn't connect.
