Fixed panics and network issues on RTL8106E by patching KEXT
I was experiencing an issue where when I reconnected the Ethernet cable, it showed “Self-assigned IP" and nothing worked. Making the network inactive caused a kernel panic. If you are experiencing the same issue, the patched KEXT should fix it.

Hi, this is my first time trying this. I have a vivobook s15 with an i5 8250u CPU and a UHD 620 GPU. I currently have Arch Linux installed on this computer. I completed the guide but when I start the computer I see a black screen and after a few minutes it restarts on its own. I tried a few attempts on config.plist to try to fix it but nothing changed.I'm asking you experts for help. Thank you very much.

Need to convert FCP7 project files to Premiere Pro - UPDATE
Hello friends! I hope you're having a good week! I'm an interloping PC user here looking for some help converting my Final Cut Pro 7 timelines to Premiere Pro so I can do some updates on the edits for a re-release. Does anyone have access to FCP7 or a program that can open those timelines? Without being able to open them, it seems like I won't be able to export them as an XML etc.

Bootloader doesn't recognice my partitioned drive
Hi there, I have trying to install macOS Tahoe and even Sonoma for the past 24 hours. The problem is that I my partitioned drive isn't showing on the bootloader at all, not even in disk utility. I formatted it with windows's disk managment and got it to be an exFAT and everything.
I have a Dell G3 and my storage is: NVMe KBG30ZMS512 NVM
Does anyone know what to do in this type of situation, I tried Nvme.kext and still doesn't work.

Help Kaby Lake Laptop won't power on after Sleep/Lid Close
Hello, I’m a second-year middle school student living in South Korea. I’m usually interested in software and I also enjoy fixing hardware. Recently, I became interested in Hackintosh and installed macOS Monterey on my Samsung NT900X5N-X516 laptop. I used the OpenCore Install Guide during the installation process, and I properly installed UTPMAP and the USB tool kext by following the guide. Everything works fine, including Wi-Fi, sound, Bluetooth, keyboard, trackpad, and camera. However, when I don’t use the screen for a certain period of time or close the lid, the laptop switches to ultra power-saving mode and shuts down. After that, even if I try to turn it back on, it won’t power on at all. The only way to boot it again is to remove the battery and then reconnect it. How can I fix this issue? I would really appreciate any help, as this problem keeps happening repeatedly.z

Unclear how to update OpenCore: what am I getting wrong? Ocb: LoadImageFailed - already started

I have macos Monterey installed on my laptop. I want to update opencore since it's currently using an old version, and kexts too. So I download the files, and prepare the dummy usb following the guide. Fix config.plist, ocompare, ocvalidate, all good.
But now, I don't understand what to do. The guide says:
>Once everything's working with the dummy USB, you can mount the EFI and move it over to the hard drive's EFI partition. Remember to keep a copy of your old EFI in cases where OpenCore is acting funny down the road
Ok, but how do I actually test everything's good with the usb? I know, I know, it's probably a very dumb question. But, am I not supposed to test it before touching the actual EFI? I tried rebooting and in OpencCore menu selected the dummy drive. It says "Ocb: LoadImageFailed - already started". What am I not understanding?

MacOS Tahoe crash (Surface pro 7 i5)
I am trying to run MacOS Tahoe (not the beta) on my surface pro 7 i5 but it crashes the second I see the progress bar. I tried updating my kexts and doing a snapshot in proper tree after but still no luck.... Here is my current EFI

Quick question for my ivy bridge hackintosh.
it is a fermi card having laptop and it has a mux switch so i can disable optimus. It has a 35w dual core chip (i7-3520m) and a dedicated nvdia fermi gpu (nvs5400m which is bassicly a gt540m with lower clockspeeds). I am going to install high sierra.
1. Should i use the igpu or the dgpu. (i want to use the dgpu but doubting that it is going to work)
2. 2.If i use the dgpu should i give it the name MacBookPro10,1 or 10,2? (10,1 is the one with a dgpu and a quad core and the 10,2 is the one with a nice dual core and a igpu)
If there is anything you like say other than these, feel free to :)
Also sorry if my writing is bad because i am writing this just before sleeping.

ChatGPT extremely slow in Safari on Hackintosh (HeliPort + itlwm) but works fine in Chromium browsers
Hi everyone,
I’m running a Hackintosh on macOS **Tahoe 26** with **HeliPort** and the **itlwm kext** to get Wi-Fi working. My network and internet connection otherwise work normally.
However, I’m experiencing a strange issue specifically in **Safari**:
When I open [**chatgpt.com**](http://chatgpt.com) in Safari, the page loads very slowly and becomes almost unusable. Typing responses, loading new messages, or even just scrolling feels extremely laggy and delayed. In some cases it seems like Safari never finishes rendering the content.
The weird part is that **this only happens in Safari**. If I open the same ChatGPT site in a **Chromium-based browser** (like **Microsoft Edge** or Chrome), everything works smoothly — instant responses, fast rendering, no input lag at [all.So](http://all.So) far I’ve tried:
* Clearing cache and cookies
* Disabling all Safari extensions
* Opening a private window
* Updating Safari / macOS
* Checking network and DNS
But none of that fixed the issue in Safari. The performance difference between browsers is huge.
Has anyone else seen this before on a Hackintosh setup with HeliPort/itlwm? Any ideas on what might be slowing Safari down, or how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Hackintosh Ventura finds second screen but doesn’t turn on
As the title says. I’ve already tried adding agdpmod=pikera or agdpmod=vit9696 in the boot option but this doesn’t solve the problem. I have an intel integrated GPU if this helps. My PC is a thinkpad t14s gen 1

iBridged.kext – OTA updates for T2 SMBIOS
I recently came across this new kext iBridged that lets you receive OTA updates on T2 Mac SMBIOSes (iMac19,x/20,x, MBP15,x/16,x, MacPro7,1, iMacPro1,1, Macmini8,1).
Unlike RestrictEvents which fakes a VM board-id, iBridged actually simulates the T2/BridgeOS coprocessor, which is what Apple's update servers are really checking for.
Catch is: it only works on vanilla installs with SIP and SecureBootModel enabled — no root patches. Pretty niche but thought it was worth sharing since not many users seem to know about it.

Looking for Advice
Hey there, I have been wanting to configure muyself a hackintosh for a while. Followed the dortania guide and used this: GitHub - HJebbour/ThinkPad-X1C8-Hackintosh: OpenCore-based Hackintosh for Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 8th Gen (20U9) as a comparison,but after finishing up everything, i get sequoia instead of tahoe, and the wifi does not even work even though the guides said it should. Attached is a screenshot of a copy of the efi I had prepared. Would appreciate notes and must-know tricks to make this as fluid as possible. Have a nice day ahead!
