Built a ₹3 Lakh Gaming PC After Years… But Now I Don’t Feel Like Playing Anymore
Back in my school days, I was a huge nerd for video games. My dad bought me a decent HP PC (don’t remember the exact specs), but it was good enough to run games like GTA San Andreas, Vice City, WWE, Total Overdose, Call of Duty, etc. I used to have a blast playing them.
As I grew up, my PC became outdated, and I had to focus on my studies, career, and life in general. Gaming slowly took a backseat. During COVID, I got back into it a bit and played PUBG mobile for fun to kill time.
After graduation, I got a job, and now that I earn, I decided to fulfill that childhood dream—I built myself a gaming PC worth around ₹3 lakhs. I was so excited to finally play all the games I had missed, especially series like Assassin’s Creed (I'm a big fan). But here’s the weird part: after just a month or so, I started feeling burned out. The excitement wasn’t the same anymore, even though I only play on weekends.
I have other passions too—going to the gym, freelancing, making videos. But I can’t understand why this one passion—gaming—burned out so quickly.
Has anyone else felt the same? Is this normal? Should I try other genres or take a longer break?
