I’m excited about my visit. I brag to my friends about coming to chennai but end up spending time just with aunties (attendance podrathuke time correcta irukum). This time I’ve decided to save it for myself.
Pls suggest any must-visit places that has come up recently (enaku recent na 2-3 years eye-roll), which I can visit alone (friends la pErIYa aalu ippo- either abroad or a parent. So ecr, mahab lam solladinga). Early morning strolls is part of my list; cafés, any meet-up events(board games, on books; not the Reddit ones), edavathu sollunga before I resign to aunty-time.

URGENT ‼️ Terrified of flat hunting and finding flats for bachelor’s is getting horrible. It’s stressful to the core.
Hi everyone, I've been looking for a flat in OMR for the past few weeks, and every society I visit just shuts the door, saying we’re only giving flats to families. All good and affordable houses are only available for families. We 3 female friends non problematic and doing decent job.It shouldn't be a problem, but landlords and apartment associations are not listening.
We even tried the flat and flatmates group on Facebook and house brokers; they are literally showing 2, 3, and ghosting us without any message. I have had so much anxiety and stress in the past few days that I couldn't focus on work or eat properly. How does one go about finding a flat? Should I try to find a broker? If so, where can I find a good broker? Also, I kind of don’t want to live in a PG setup because I wish to have a kitchen where I can cook a meal for myself.
And I'M TIRED AND DRAINED OF ALL ENERGY!
I just wanted to tell the owners loud and clear that families don't make people polite and decent. And not all bachelors are bad. Period.

Greetings fellow dwellers of Kumari Khandam....hope you are doing well.
This is more of a long rant so please bear with me.
I'm one of the greatest warriors of all time. There's next to none who can stand against me and win. I am a better warrior than my father and this isn't any boast.
So, my appa is a grade A moron. He always lusts after women even after having a beautiful woman as a wife, my Amma. He in his ego, abducted a Vadakkan's wife. That Vadakkan along with his Thambi and a tribal army, attacked our palace.
That tribal chief burnt our house down and actually killed my Thambi. I was devastated at the loss and vowed to avenge him. Btw, I'm the only warrior to have Trimurti astras, Brahmastra, Narayanastra and Paasupataastra!! No other warrior achieved this.
So on first day, I went on a rampage in the battle field. I am the only one to defeat that Vadakkan and his Thambi. I used Nagapasam to bind them.
On next day, when I came to know these two are still alive, I wrecked havoc. I almost sent the younger brother to the doors of Yama but that tribal chief saved his life. Then I almost defeated that Vadakkan but missed it. So, I was the only warrior to defeat both the Vadakkan and his Thambi, twice, when they're armed.
On the third day, I went onto beast mode and almost wiped out the race of that tribal warriors. None could withstand me. I killed almost 67 crore tribal warriors that day, the highest kill count in the single day!!! The king of Gods ( whom I mopped the floor with once) had a recurring nightmare after witnessing this carnage.
That Vadakkan's thambi tried all the weapons and I countered all of them easily!! I used my Yama Astra on my traitor youngest uncle but that Vadakkan's thambi saved him. Then I understood that he's not mere warrior. I retreated to my Appa and told him to surrender. Instead of listening to my advice, this moron insulted me that I ran away from the battlefield. I yelled at him in retreat and even he was shaken by my anger. I later apologized to him and went onto the battlefield.
I gave my everything. That Vadakkan's thambi is relentlessly pursuing me but I still evaded him. All of his Astras and weaponry couldn't even scratch me. Then he did something so unconventional. He took a weapon and simply chanted this. It's no big weapon or powerful. His chant was something like,
"I believe Sri Rama (that Vadakkan) is righteous and his words always resonate truth. He's unbeatable and his efforts never go futile. If my belief is true, this arrow will bring down Ravana's son", and guess what, the arrow found it's mark!!!
The nighty warrior who's untouched by celestial weapons, is done and dusted by a mere arrow upon chanting that Vadakkan's Name and his righteousness.
Later I came to know that my Uncle, my Appa and my entire Kingdom paid the price for the stupidity of my Appa!!!
The above chant became the cornerstone of the entire epic!!!

My friend ascended to Godhood from being a prince in Tiruvancore Kingdom
Greetings to the fellow dwellers of Kumari Khandam.
Today, I come forth to tell a tale, about my friend, who happened to be a prince in one of the lesser kingdoms in Tiruvancore Kingdom.
So, as mentioned he's a crown prince for one of the smaller Kingdoms within Tiruvancore Kingdom. Our kingdom is surrounded by thick jungles and I'm a tribal chief. We are pestered by bandits and once this prince came chasing a party of bandits. I helped him and we both almost eradicated the bandits from our forests. The next 3 days we have our annual festival and the prince took great interest in it. We smeared ourselves in different colours, decorated with peacock feathers and different leaves and danced for drum beats and opened the deity's temple for 3 day festival. The prince asked me who the deity was and my tribe's elder ayyas narrated the story.
Long ago, a demoness took a boon from the Creator that she can get killed only by son of the Sustainer and the Merger , both of them happened to be males. With this boon she went to rampage. So, the Sustainer took the form of the Merger's wife and they both had a child,that child killed this demoness and manifested on the hill. That child is manifestation of Dharma and took up the position of a Guru, preaching "You are already being that" to the devootes visiting him. This child is always seated in Yoga Pattasanam, which you mere mortals can't hold for more than a minute.
After listening to this fascinating story, that Prince became his staunch devotee, did severe penance, manifested that Child's "You are being that" completely, finally attained Samadhi and merged himself with the deity. There's a Manimandapam behind that deity's temple where our prince made the "You are being that" mahavakya a reality, a lone lamp being lit from centuries as a mark of the Princ's path to ascendency.
After knowing what happened to their beloved prince, the people in the kingdowm wept and beat their chests yelling >!"Ayya Manikanta"!< and >!"Appa Manikanta"( Manikanta being that Prince's title as he had a shining diamond on his neck).!< The Prince actually came to our forest in search of Tigress milk, to make a medicine which will cure his mom's "headache"!!
That Prince Promised them that he, in the unified form with that Child, will appear yearly once as a star on the hill opposite to this shrine. As a homage to this, the deity is adorned with the royal ornaments from the Royal Palace on this day and a Deepam is lit on that hill.
The Prince was so famous that his name was appropriatesd to that Deity and most of you don't even know the deity's actual name!!
For your reference, that Prince was >!Arya Kerala Varman of Pandalam Royal house!< in the Tiruvancore Kingdom and that deity's name is >!Dharmasastha!<
That Prince before attaining Samadhi, mentioned that he want to follow Naishtika Brahmacharya and leave him be. But you morons made whatever you can to break this one request he had!!!
Tiruvancore Kingdom's police escorted some "devotees" carrying used menstruatal pads to the deity's shrine.

Apart from this, you morons changed my faith!! I'm a tribal chief looking after that Child's shrine and you turned me into a Muslim and established a Dargah for me, SMH!!
The current Tiruvancore Kingdom went on to extreme lengths and enacted a new dargah in the temple compund itself!!!
Don't mess with that child you morons. He might be only a 5 year kid but he's the personification of Dharma!!!
