Maybe it's only my parents, but they say this a lot when I don't study. This usually comes after " സമയം കളയാതെ പഠിച്ചൂടെ".
Also, I do believe that in some cases, they would've been much better of, if they had the technology like internet and stuff that we have; but not every parents, right?

Kerala theatres to reopen from Jan 5th. Then why did the makers of Drishyam 2 opt to release it on Amazon Prime ?
Doesn't make sense to me. Mohanlal is the most marketable star in Kerala at the moment and Drishyam 2 , even if it turns out to be a mediocre movie , is as good a movie as any to kick-start the theatre experience for movie goers.So the makers move to release it on Amazon Prime is baffling. What's your take ?

The elder 'kid' in the couple immolation case in 23!!
Okay - so let me preface by saying that I've been of the opinion from day 1, that while tragic, this was all the doing of Rajan - and nobody else's fault.
As I read more about the situation, I'm more and more convinced that this is a blatant cash grab.
The elder 'kid', is 23 years old. Not in school, not in college - 23 years old. I haven't heard a word about his employment. Either way, nothing we need to bother about - but with three adults of working age (Rajan, Ambili and the son) - couldn't they get a home by proper means? And if they're evicted as well, with three members of earning age, would it be really hard to rent a place? Let's throw in a dose of patriarchy and say only the wife doesn't work. I'm having some construction happening at my home right now - and two of the workers that were there today are 23 or below. One is even the sole breadwinner with an ailing father.

Also, all of this feels too scripted / perfect. Like the day they died, the son was on 24 clearly reading off a piece of paper. Even when the younger son spoke to media, it qas quite flat tbh. And that's some planning. Delay the police by half an hour, because you know a stay is coming. When that didn't work, bury them over there - obviously nobody would buy that piece of land in the future - and opens up the argument they're using now - achchanum ammayum urangunna bhoomi njangalkku venam.
And most importantly - they lived there only for an year and a half, and within half an year of them encroaching, Vasantha filed a case - which one can expect to be a reasonable time frame. Even if it were poramboke, under normal circumstances, the government wouldn't have given them the land after living such a short while.
That lady has been vilified so much - and if she had sweat to earn the money to buy that land, anybody in her place would have stood up.

Why do obviously bad movies get made.
I am talking about movies like savithriyude aranjanam, Chembada, Robo. Basically movies that are made fun of in malayalam YouTube roast channels like Irreverent movies, Forgotten movie reviews etc. These movies are obviously bad and anyone reading the script will realise that, so why do actors agree to do such stupid movies and why will any producer put their money in these ventures.

Prime reels is another ott app, catering to Malayalam cinema only. However their differentiating factor is apparently 1 new release every Friday.

Aashiq Abu Commercialising Madhu's Death
So I came across this event called PARA by Kochi Music Foundation and the Poster of the Program had an image of a tied up madhu who was beaten to death for stealing food a few years back .Performers like vedan during his perfomance expressed their dissatisfaction and rage over the commercialisation of his death(He covered madhu's image with a tshirt).After that I saw a bunch of write ups against Aashiq abu especially from dalit activists(here here ) What are your opinions on this?

Hobbies
Happy New Year everyone , so iam writing this to say even though 2020 was a bad year for almost everyone I was lucky enough to find a new hobbie during lockdown .
I used to draw when I was little and then I stopped because I lost my patience . So the hobbie I picked up is 3D art and this made me occupied during the lockdown times . Now when I watch a animation movie I also think about the rigging , texturing and other aspects of the movie , I didn't even know how animations movies were made before lockdown so this made appreciate the effort of animators and other artists even more .
And It would be nice to know if any of you guys were able to pick some hobbies and how it affected you
