How do I chew kratom?
So I’m in Thailand and just got a bunch of kratom leaf and I have no clue how to consume it. I got the chewing kind and not the tea making kind (apparently they’re different??) and I was wondering if I’m supposed to chew and swallow or chew it up and pocket it in my cheek like a Zyn.

Kratom Suddenly Stopped Working After Mixing
I’m a former soldier who’s been using Red Bali Katom for months. It’s the only strain that really helped me manage my PTSD and quit alcohol. But recently, I mixed it once with an another one, and now Bali barely works. I’m pretty sure my tolerance shot up fast from that.
If anyone’s dealt with this or knows how to reset tolerance and get Bali back to normal, please help. I’m really struggling.

Dose size and desired effect
I've been taking Kratom for about 4 years at low doses (2gpd).
I've always read that at low doses it stimulates you, while at higher doses it relaxes you and relieves pain.
This is the first time in 4 years that I haven't noticed that stimulating effect at this dose of 2gpd, but if I increase the dose, all I want to do is lie down and sleep.
For people who take it for the stimulating effect and have built up a tolerance, if you increase the dose, does it still stimulate you or it relax you?

Sorry for the all caps but it seems almost nobody knows this. The Texas government has very sneakily added a ban any cannibanoids (pretty sure even CBD would count), kratom, kava, mushrooms or any derivative by slipping it into their awful nicotine vape ban.

Kratom after Gallbladder Removal
So it looks like I'm gonna have to have my gallbladder removed. I'm wondering about experiences. Have you had the procedure done while taking Kratom? I am going to try to ween down over a couple of weeks but I don't know if I can't stop completely in that time frame

KDA is a group largely made up of grieving parents — mostly mothers — who believe kratom caused their children’s deaths. We believe they have WEAPONIZED their grief by traveling nationwide to attend kratom ban hearings. We sympathize deeply with their pain. But pain alone does not equal truth.
In almost every case, the toxicology reports are either not made public or later reveal the presence of other substances — including opioids like illicit fentanyl.
Still, KDA members appear at hearing after hearing, state after state, making sweeping emotional claims about kratom. They bring large color pictures of their deceased loved ones and cry and tell their story.
And sadly, those emotions — no matter how sincere — often drown out rational debate.

If SB154 passes, kratom will be classified as a Schedule I substance in Louisiana — right alongside heroin.
Possession could carry felony-level punishments.

Need Volunteers for Testimonial Vid Compilation Project Supporting Legality
I am part of a motivated group of krâtôm advocates looking to make a series of short pro-krâtôm video clip compilations to represent us as consumers and advocates of krâtôm. We are well connected; some of us have political connections, and also AKA connections, and we had one of us featured in a recent Krâtôm Gals episode. I myself have authored the petition against the SB154 ban bill in Louisiana recently.
Summary at the bottom.
We are seeing krâtôm being demonized by groups like the KDA moms and tiktok propaganda and even some states like Connecticut and Louisiana are moving to ban, utilizing the lies and/or misdirections of a few groups of ill intentioned people.
The reason we are losing these battles is because WE DON'T HAVE A VOICE.
Mac from the AKA represents us well but the AKA is spread thin on this massive frontline of an anti-krâtôm information war.
Most people won't even acknowledge krâtôm, it is taboo. There is no awareness except for what they are told by bad actors. We are made out to look like dysfunctional drug addicts, or society's rejects.
This project will bring awareness to kratom's therapeutic benefits and break down the bias and taboo.
We need to come together and make them understand their fears are based on lies, and this is how we do that.
A secondary effect from this project is that we can document healthy, honest, taxpaying krâtôm consumers now, pre-ban, and it opens the door to justify legal action to force the courts to consider repeals or regulation even if some of the politicians continue to slander our plant.
We lost Louisiana. Connecticut may be next. Texas barely skated by. We need our voice together, to stop this ban movement in its tracks.
Here's how you can help!
These vids will be concise and will be sprinkled with slides of verifiable facts. Some people may not want to submit a video, but videos will be 10x more effective so please be as brave as you can be. If you still decide you absolutely cannot do a video, we will still accept a written or voice-only anecdote/testimony (or even an anecdote/testimony with a picture of you). Kratom degradation
It’s been getting really hot where I live and I find that my Kratom does less and less. I know its not tolerance because I l’ve tracked my doses in a spreadsheet for about 6 months was using heavily before then. I know how my body develops tolerance and how lower doses reduce it.
The effects from the same batches don’t make sense even taking tolerance into account. Anyone in a hot area have the same experience?

Trying to better myself after
I’ve been in Kratom for a while now mainly because I’m scared of the withdrawal and I’m scared I won’t be functional enough to keep my job. However after a big fight with a guy battling with addiction with many other drugs I see that maybe it’s time for me to go through with this I’ve been using Kratom for like 4-5 years or so maybe? Maybe the Kratom is why my emotions are so amplified or maybe that’s why I feel bi polar at times going from mad to sad back and forth in short periods of times… idk any advice on how to do this I’m pretty nervous to do it alone I thought the guy I was seeing would have helped me do it since he has experience but he was not a reliable person when it came to helping others lol

I’ve been a decently heavy Kratom user for about 5 months and took a drug test today. My at home tests have been passing for everything (obviously) except mdma comes back more faint than others. I was wondering if this will affect a 5-50 panel urine lab test or will they be able to have more control of the substances actually in my system?

Kratom and Insomnia
I need help. I have been using kratom for about 4 years and for the last 2 years my dose has been 21 gpd split in to 3 (7g) doses.
I am currently abroad and have not used kratom in 4 days. I also have not slept for more than 20-30 min a few times each night. This is horrible. I am going insane!
Can anyone recommend a good sleeping aid that I cold easily attain? Whether it be an OTC pill or a CBD gummy…I could really use some advice!

Does anybody here microdose Kratom?
So I've been using Kratom for about 4 years, on and off. Mostly to treat ADHD and Bipolar symptoms.
When I started, I would dose about 3 to 5g at a time (1g in mornings for stimulation) and it was amazing, worked like a charm. But, upon not being able to access it for a while and then coming across it again, I decided to ration it much more tightly.
To my surprise, it worked even better for my symptoms under the 1g mark... Crazy! What is this magic!? All the rumination, intrusive thoughts, distraction, anhedonia, memory issues, restlessness, inconsistent mood, behaviour and sleep issues solved, all from 1 single dose of 0.5 to 1g a day.
As the supply would run dry, and I would be out again, I eventually rolled back to my old destructive and distracted ways. I decided one day in a desperate attempt to flush water through one of the old empty Kratom bags which still had miniscule amount of crumbs inside. I thought it was a waste of time and didn't really expect anything... To my astonishment, it worked! Albeit not as quickly and apparent as a 1g dose though... But this is insane to me. I know with Kratom, the whole "less is more" principal is evident, but I didn't think it would work to this extreme.
For pain management, and other ailments, I recognize higher doses hold much better therapeutic benefits. However, I'm finding for some mental health conditions even the tiniest amount is enough to eleviate symptoms and allow an individual to get on with their life.
I'm curious, have any of you had a similar experience with microdosing Kratom?

I Now Have Two “Batches” of Seeds Sprouting … Experience Growers, Help Me Not Kill Them, Please.
I have two sprouts growing from seeds and am really excited over it, but I do not want to kill them by improper care. If you are an experience grower can you please offer me some advice.
1. I am in the Shreveport/Bossier area (Northwest La)
2. The ground around here has a lot of red clay naturally, but I have added a lot of sandy topsoil and along with some manure and a little mulch
3. It gets hot, really hot and humid here so I water at least once a day.
4. One sprout is in the ground, the other is in a 25 gallon planter.
The planter drained really well …
Other than that, it’s just nature doing its thing.
Friendly advice is greatly appreciated.
Note: it took about 8 weeks from planting to sprouting.

I’m a 61-year-old female. I’ve been taking kratom for almost ten years for arthritis pain. So I saw my doctor for my annual physical. He knows I take kratom and always tells me to be careful without really saying why. This time I told him I had the most amazing sleep the night before because I took kratom and an Aleve. Again, he says be careful, without really saying why, and that a patient of his lost his job and his marriage because of kratom. My usual eye rolling turned into concern for the guy. Now I understand addiction but I’m not sure how kratom can make you lose your job and wife? I take so little, 4 g every other day. Am I misunderstanding how kratom works at larger doses? Is it debilitating? I’m curious.

Urine test positive 9 days past last dose
Im doing an experiment just to see how long to test negative.
I was taking kratom pretty regularly with some tolerance breaks for 5 years or so, 3ish gpd. I was in a bad car accident at the end of 2023 and entered pain management. I was urine tested regularly since I am rx-ed pain meds but my doctor never said anything about the kratom, but when I had back surgery I figured now is a good time to ween off. This was last October. Since then Ive had a dose here and there, maybe 2x a month max at 1gpd. My last dose was 9 days ago. I bought a 25 pack of urine tests off amazon and they are still positive today. It can't be my current pain meds (percocet) tripping the test right? Every resource I find online says that kratom shouldn't be showing up in your urine past a few days.

Texas Update: House Hearing Soon but Not Set
The Texas SB 1868, which the AKA opposes and has always opposed, has passed the Senate and is now in the House. There isn't a hearing date set as of Monday 4/28, but a House Hearing is likely within two weeks. The AKA legislative team is urging advocates to contact Texas House members and encourage opposition to SB 1868 because it will effectively ban kratom products, and Texas has a KCPA law that should be enforced and followed. Question I keep seeing slow, mid acting on different strains and I am curious what that means. Is there a strong as I keep only seeing slow and mid?
