Kratom/matcha
Has anyone tried to make a kratom drink similiar to matcha. I just realized today plain matcha powder smells and taste almost identical to kratom. Most matcha latte powders are just organic matcha powder and cane sugar. I wondered if anyone’s perfected a kratom/sugar ratio that makes a powder similiar to a matcha latte mix to make the drink more pleasant.

Feeling pessimistic about Kansas
My best friend who relies on Kratom heavily to stay sober lives in Kansas & I am really stressing out on her behalf. I was the one who introduced her to kratom to begin with, and she was able to completely turn her life around after she tried it. I say this with love-she has a lot of issues & finds it extremely challenging to stay sober..so if kratom is made illegal, I fear that she will go back to taking more dangerous substances and throw her life away once again.
Just venting here I guess. Does anybody have any insight into the Kansas situation? I'm truly afraid for her. She is such a wonderful but very vulnerable person. I am from NY myself & they just passed regulation here..Praying that Kansas decides to do the same.

Can’t tell doc I use kratom, what can I say instead?
So I need advice guys 🙏🏻. I’ve been managing severe upper back pain for the past four years with kratom and it’s actively the only way I’m able to work. Well now I finally have health insurance so I want to go see a doc and figure out what the pain is actually from.
I don’t want to understate the pain. I need him to understand that this pain would keep me from having a job but I absolutely can’t tell him I use kratom for obvious reasons. What can I say instead on how I’ve been able to work all this time?

I really wish they would of let us know sooner, now the fact is a bill was introduced on 12/16/25 to make kratom a schedule 1 In South Carolina, and it's currently passed through the stages:

1: HB 5242 is unique to me. It is one of the few that doesn't do anything with 7-HMG, but at the same time prohibits kratom/kava combo products. I don't know if this is explicitly designed to take a swipe at a well known brand of kratom/kava products, or that is just a coincidence. I've never seen one that calls itself a KCPA without some numeric 7-HMG limit aside from the final revision of the SC bill last session, which comes down to ambiguous interpretation of how it does deal with synthetics.
2: Doesn't appear to be any realistic pathway for a doctor to "prescribe" a federal construct, a state scheduled product. No special provision like cannabis where it is not "prescribed" but "recommended" under state law.
3: Takes the current law that sets under 18 penalties and basically just crams in "everybody."

It’s been a few years since I’ve seen LDN or ULDN discussed here.
I’m a pretty severe chronic pain patient. I take about 12 g of Kratom total each day and it seems to work well enough that I don’t need traditional pain management with narcotics.
I tried LDN about six years ago when I first got sick. It didn’t do much for me at the time. I’m considering giving a shot again. I’m just looking for any input from any other chronic pain or autoimmune patients who have used LDN or ULDN in conjunction with Kratom successfully.

Flying to UK tomorrow. Need advice
It's actually my partner. He's going for work and they changed his flight to an earlier date, so he had to quit cold turkey. He's currently on day two and really suffering withdrawal. He has a couple of xanax for the flight, but he's never taken it before. Will it help? He's expected to work long hours that require massive focus starting Monday. I'm very concerned he'll struggle with withdrawal and won't be able to do his job well. My only idea is that he contact an online doctor in the UK and try to get a prescription to help. Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone here experienced a similar situation? Does anyone here know how to get a prescription quickly in England? He's a long time heavy user, so he really needs something. I feel so bad for him and I'm extremely worried. Any advice is appreciated

can i trick myself to withdraw from kratom with matcha?
I have been using kratom for two years. Right now I take about 15 g per day. I tried to quit cold turkey, but I can’t handle it. I also tried lowering the doses gradually, but I don’t have the discipline for that. I tried replacing kratom with coffee, for example, but coffee doesn’t do anything for me and it actually made me feel sick.
I really want to quit kratom, but unfortunately I have a job where I communicate with people every day, and I’m also with my boyfriend every day and he doesn’t know about this addiction, so quitting from one day to the next would be really difficult.
However, I thought of something: matcha tastes somewhat similar to kratom, so I could start mixing matcha into my kratom and gradually drink less and less of it. Has anyone thought of this before? What do you think about it?
I was addicted once before, but to weed. I used it in huge amounts too, but if I’m honest, when I quit I don’t remember it very well. I even think I didn’t have any withdrawal symptoms.

We should still be fighting the bill in Georgia, even though it was amended.
I’m not an expert on anything, especially when it involves legalese, but this strict regulation they are pushing for in Georgia is simply “banning without banning”, as I understand it.
Having to be in the presence of a licensed pharmacist is going to be too much of a hassle for most retailers, so they won’t want to sell it. Not to mention the tracking system/ID requirement, etc is pretty questionable constitutionally, considering it’s not going to be prescription-only. No other similar substance that has a “reputation” (like alcohol or nicotine etc) has anything like that. And we know all that stuff has addiction risks potential. There are people on this very subreddit who have been that person who has to wait outside the liquor store for it to open, with a sack full of just enough change to pay for gut rot, just to be okay.
I just hope time runs out on it this year, and that Rick Townsend character just settles on the KCPA that was already passed (that he helped pass) being good enough.
I have lost friends and family from alcohol-related incidents and illnesses. But you would never see me pushing legislators to ban alcohol, considering all the people who use it responsibly. The freedom to choose, even something that has risks, supersedes all.

Any hacks out there to help with sleep ?
So im a moderate kratom user but I noticed if I don't take any for one day I have trouble sleeping
No serious withdrawals just tough to sleep
I try to take a THC/lions mane drink which sort of helps but not so much
Are there anything out there like specific magnesium supps or something that long time kratom users take to help with sleep?
Because I don't need kratom all the time but sleep gets disruptive at time

How do I do this? 💔
I've been taking kratom for anxiety for 10 years and all of a sudden-seemingly out of nowhere-my state voted to ban it. I'm terrified at the thought of going off of it. Luckily I stocked up in the last couple weeks when word got around that they were considering the ban. Does anyone have any good ideas on a taper schedule? I'm really a mess over this...
Edit to add-I'm considering mentioning to my Dr that I'm going to be tapering off of kratom and wonder if there's anything she can prescribe to help me with the rebound anxiety etc. (I already take Lexapro.) I've found myself in a shit sandwich of sorts. My state banned kratom a few weeks ago and I've found myself in the unfortunate position of having to taper down to nothing after 10 yrs of use. A little update
Hello, so 9 years ago I came to Reddit to look up more info on kratom, that’s how I started here. I was a wreck at the time, had been taking opiates for 10 years, benzo’s for 12. I was on at least 6 prescriptions at all times. Was having trouble advancing at jobs. Back 9 years ago I was weaning off everything because I was sick of it, the whole thing, I needed out.
Honestly haven’t realized till now how long I’ve been taking kratom but a lot has changed. I still take it every day, I’ve actually never missed a day. I don’t take terribly much however. I’m very disciplined, I take 2grams in 24oz. of water three times a day. Sometimes I take a little more sometimes I take less but that’s it.
The big thing was it helped me control my addictions. I also smoked a pack a day and drank. I’ve gotten to the point where I only smoke weed, and drink maybe a couple times a week and that’s it, no prescriptions at all. I see a doctor regularly and my labs are great. I’ve actually lost a lot of weigh and am now ideal weight. The biggest thing is I finally have a job I can support my family on.
Anyway I’m not all saying this to brag or anything like that. I just want everyone out there to know that the stuff really helps. If used properly, it can help you gain willpower. I’m hoping in the next few years I might ween off, but I do have a bad back, several herniated discs so it’s tough to stop completely.

HB 587 regulates natural kratom (21+, testing, labeling). This is our best defense against a full state ban. The first hearing is done; now we must demand the 2nd Hearing (Proponent Testimony) be scheduled immediately.

🚨 URGENT UPDATE: HB 587's Second Hearing Scheduled March 4th (Just Posted Today!) Official Witness Testimony needed by Monday!
Hey everyone, I’m posting a critical update to my post from earlier today. Just this afternoon, I was notified that the hearing is already scheduled - I just checked yesterday so this must have only been posted today. They have officially scheduled the 2nd hearing for HB 587 for Wednesday, March 4th.
This is moving fast. We need to shift gears from general emails to Formal Testimony. This is the most powerful thing we can do as advocates.
Update: The 2nd hearing for HB 587 is officially scheduled for Wednesday, March 4th.
We need to move beyond general emails. To protect legal access to kratom in Ohio, we need Formal Witness Testimony. This is the most powerful tool we have because it becomes part of the permanent legislative record.
No Travel Required: You can submit "Written-Only Testimony" from home. It carries the same weight as appearing in person.
The Deadlines:
HEARING: Wednesday, March 4, 2026
DEADLINE: Tuesday, March 3rd @ 9:00 AM (24-hour rule)
OUR GOAL: Submit by Monday, March 2nd.
How to Submit (The 2-Step Move):
The Portal: Upload your story PDF directly to the March 4th meeting folder. (Link in comments).
The Email: Send your story and the required Witness Form as PDFs to the Committee Chair. (Emails and Form link in comments).
IMPORTANT: Everything must be sent as a PDF to ensure it is printed for the Representatives' binders.

So is kratom going to be banned in Michigan?
We need to fight this now, its our body our choice we don't need big daddy government to come it and control our choices. When will the next meeting be, or is there already a date the bill will be passed? Can we do away with this bill? And will we still be able to access kratom in michigan of this is passed? I really dont wanna have to go back to my old habits
