Is my Kratom shit Quality?
Hey Guys so last weekend i tried Kratom for the first time also never took any opioid before. I heard a good starter dose would be 2 grams so i took it and waited like 45 minutes and felt nothing so i redosed another 2g and from that every 30 Minuten redosed 2g until i was at 10g where i felt a little bit. In the end i was at 14g and then felt nausea and later got hiccup. All in all i have to say it was relaxing and a little bit euphoric but i expected more also felt a little wierd like daydreaming but not really.

Replace
What antidepressant drug can I take to replace kratom. I tapered dow from 40gpd and extractss down to 5-10gpd and just caffeine. Without it I am extremely apathetic and depressed. I was depressed before I started using kratom. I stopped the weed and alcohol. I eat health. Exercise. Hike. Take some supplements like BCAAs/EAAs and I am just miserable and depressed. Life is so fucking boring I have no interest in anything no drive no wants. 32M I really just want to live the next 30 years of my life wanted to do something and meet new people. Lost a girl I loved and wanted to start a family with and now I am stuck again. Need drug recommendations I have tried all the therapy, yoga, exercise all that shit don’t work for me because it doesn’t change the reality of life we live in. I need something to actually change my mood for the better.

Popped 3g of kratom yesterday around this time since after looking around, it seemed to be a good “beginner” dose. After 10 or so minutes I was feeling alright, but it kept getting stronger and stronger until I was violently sweating and retching, I couldn’t think, vision was going everywhere, and fucked up in general. I drank so many gatorades and liquid IVs during and even slept for a few hours but it didnt do shit. It’s been a full 24 hours later and it’s significantly better but I still feel like shit.
Am I just absurdly sensitive to kratom?

Caffeine + Kratom
Not sure if this is well know but I took some Kratom down with dark roast coffee. And it felt like the first time. Impressed enough to write a post. For awhile, been taking it with just plain water and tolerance took a hit. But it felt like a reset with the caffeine. Thought i'd share my experience. Bye!

Do you guys strain your kratum? How?
I find the sendiment to he harsh on my stomach and have had no such problems since beggining to strain the mucky part out. Problem is, I used to strain my kratum through a coffee filter and it worked fine, but this new batch I have is really fine and it doesn't work. I've tried french press, mesh strainers, tea steepers to no luck. I tried boiling the kratum in several mini paper tea bags but it was too packed in there I think and ended up with a really weak batch. At this point I am just waiting for the kratum to settle and then pouring into a seperate cup and throwing out the sedimant at the bottom, but its time dependant and feels like a waste. Any ideas?

Kratom Tea vs Kratom powder shaken w/water potency
Is there any difference in potency between if you boil Kratom powder in water for 20-30 minutes, then filter out the sludge versus just shaking the same amount of Kratom powder with water?
Additionally, if you were to mix powder and water and let sit over night, then only ingest the clear liquid, avoiding the sludge on the bottom, would that be just as effective as drinking it with the sludge?

Does Kratom act as an antagonist to receptors?
I suffered a bad injury almost two weeks ago. The doctors barely wanted to give me any pain pills that would actually help. I chose to take these for about a week and I suffered greatly. I took some kratom I had about 8 hours ago. It helped but now I need to take my prescribed opiate. Will the kratom or does it act as a receptor antagonist? Or will taking the prescribed pain pills help?

Why does high dose of kratom make you like brain dead? When I want to feel super chill relaxed I take 20g scoop of leaf and within 30mins I find myself staring at a blank tv and it being the most enjoyable moment of just brain dead peace

If you had surgery… how long before surgery did you stop taking it
I have a foot surgery planned for next Thur. I know they say to stop taking anything that may cause you to bleed more. But I don’t believe kratom falls under that category. So now long before should I stop. Like today ?

200mg a day safe?
I’ve read a lot on here and have been using Kratom tea once a week for about 2 years. I enjoy it when I ride my bike.
Anyway I recently been taking 200mg per day of a red powder and worried about getting addicted.
How sustainable is this? How often should I cycle it?
It seems most on here are at like 3grams or even more a day. That’s just a crazy amount to me.

Kratom side effect
Does anyone know why Kratom makes me so itchy? Does anyone else experience intense itching on Kratom?
For some backstory I have debilitating pain and fatigue. I have been in and out of doctors for 3 years and they have been less than useless. I have never had anything prescribed to me even remotely helpful.
Kratom was like a miracle when I found it. It was the only thing that made a dent in the pain and fatigue. However, the problem is it makes me insanely itchy especially my nose and face.
Is there anything to do about the itching?!

What just happened? The Arkansas senate just "passed over" the new bill (SB534) to remove kratom as a schedule 1 narcotic.
Some of you may remember my post from the other day. Arkansas took a major step in the right direction on Tuesday by advancing "SB534" to remove kratom as a schedule 1 narcotic to the state senate.
I was overjoyed to see this but after watching today's live senate hearing for HOURS, they announced SB534 was "passed over" and promptly moved on to the next bill.
This doesn't seem to be the step in the right direction so many of us were cheering on the other day.
Maybe the AKA can chime in here, or someone with an understanding of what this means for the potential fate of this bill?

Wegovy - Kratom doesn’t work anymore
Just like the subject says. Started on weight loss medication Wegovy and now my Kratom has no affect. I think it has to do with the slower absorption of food through the stomach maybe?! So sad. Anyone find a way to combat this?

Shattered ankle, pain relief strains
Curious to hear personal experiences. My doc wants to put me on opiates, I cannot go back down that road. Going in for surgery, at least 3 bones are crushed and need to be replaced and screwed in and all that jazz. I have been using some red Bali and some old super white for the pain. Kratom extracts
Hi all,
Happy Easter and Passover to my fellow brethren! So against everyone’s advice, thinking I had more self control my tolerance now sucks with plain plant kratom and the extract tablets are doing their magic. So my question is: How do I reset my tolerance as I had when I first started dabbling with this wonderful plant. I’m open to ANY tapering down strategies. I want to go back to my 7-9gish a day leaf “toss and wash” rather than using the damn extracts to get the same effects. Thank you all!

What Y’all Think of my Dosing Method? (Water bottle)
My dosing goes like this;
• Fill water bottle Halfway with HOT water
• 2-3 Spoonfuls of kratom (with funnel)
• Fill up the bottle almost full (need room to shakey shakey good)
Not sure if everyone does this or Im a rookie (latter), but Ive been using for 7 years straight, every day. Its SUPER convenient for me, just sip and go. Only other method I tried was 1 scoop with my coffee, but it wasn’t convenient enough, so I figured I’d give this a try and its awesome, fast, and portable.
Only issues are;
- It does last for a while, but it starts to ferment in the bottle after roughly 4-5 days. But… after awhile you build up a routine to where you finish it before you reach that dark place
- The TASTE, Im used to it now, but I CANT say it could be ignored
I would love to hear y’all thoughts or tips on this friends! I haven’t seen this method online anywhere, maybe its the least go-to way of dosing.

Trying to take a tolerance break, mentally having a hard time
I’ve been a regular kratom user going on about 5 years now (started about July 2020). I haven’t had really significant breaks except for a few times I had to have surgery (less than a week break both times). I took anywhere from about 15-17g per day during my heaviest use to about 8-10g per day during my lightest use (was more on the lighter end recently). But other than those two surgeries in 2021 and 2023, I use it every single day. I’ve noticed I’m not getting the mood boost the last 6 months or so so I decided to take a break and I can barely function without it. :( I’m just venting I guess.
I’m on day 3ish. I didn’t take any yesterday and the day before that I took only 3g in the morning.
I’m about to give in because I’m not getting 💩 done (unless you count having the 💩’s) and I’m miserable. 48 hours isn’t enough right?

Last batch I had I could fit 2.5 grams on a heaped tea spoon.
This batch is fluffy and I can fit 3.5 grams on a heaps tea spoon.

Don’t neglect the option of using non-opioid pain meds such as NSAIDs/acetaminophen along with dose to minimize your intake.
Consider the fact that those of us who aren’t prescribed the absolute strongest pain meds are taking things that include NSAIDs/acetaminophen integrated into the pill along with the opioid. Most people just switch to a dose of kratom as an alternative to the entire prescribed pill and take more until their pain is tolerable.
This is not ideal at all if you prioritize taking the minimum effective dose. Many of these meds have a synergistic effect with opioids (aka a 1+1=3 effect in terms of pain relief)
The difference of adding such to my kratom dose was huge for me. I previously had to take 5g as my dose for intermittent severe pain. Then one day I had a rotting tooth (which is very serious shit when it comes to pain). In one of the days leading up to my appointment, I only had two one big 1g capsules, so took them with acetaminophen. The pain relief was actually better than with 5g tsp alone.
If you want this plant to stay legal, we have to minimize the amount of people having negative experiences. This means keeping doses down.
