Dear Neurotypical Friends,
Please stop pretending to understand what it’s like to be neurodivergent. Our brains process the world differently, shaping experiences you can’t fully grasp. And that’s okay. What’s not okay is trivializing or dismissing our struggles.
Saying you have ADHD because you hate studying or claiming you’re autistic because you missed sarcasm once isn’t just wrong, it’s harmful. These are real challenges, not quirks or trends. When you say “everyone feels that way sometimes” or suggest I just need to try harder, you invalidate the daily struggles I face in a world built for neurotypical people.
Curiosity about mental health is great, but don’t self-diagnose based on memes or romanticize neurodivergence because a famous figure was neurodivergent. It’s dismissive and makes it harder for us to be taken seriously. You wouldn’t tell someone in a wheelchair, “We all feel tired of walking.” So why say that to someone with ADHD or autism?
This world was designed by and for neurotypical individuals, and neurodivergent people are left to navigate systems that weren’t made for us. That’s why conversations about intersectionality and class consciousness must include neurodivergence and mental health. These aren’t separate issues. They are deeply interconnected and impact our ability to survive and thrive.
Our struggles are real, and all we ask is for you to listen, respect us, and stop using our reality as a quirk or a punchline.
Sincerely,
A Neurodivergent Person.

Babri Masjid Redux
Babri Masjid Redux
by
Seshadri Kumar
There are going to be a thousand fires across North India, thanks to the BJP, RSS, and other elements of the Hindu Right.
What is happening in Sambhal in UP is an indication of how the Hindu Right is accomplishing this.
Sambhal, you ask? It's a place in UP. Read on.
Quote
The controversy erupted when a petition was filed in Sambhal by advocate Vishnu Shanker Jain and others. Mr Jain, also known for his involvement in the Gyanvapi Mosque and Krishna Janmabhoomi disputes, claimed that the Jama Masjid was built on the ruins of a temple dedicated to Lord Kalki. The petition alleged that the mosque was constructed after the destruction of the temple during Babur's invasion in 1526-27. The petitioners argue that historical texts such as "Baburnamah" and "Ain-e-Akbari" document the destruction of the temple by Babur.
End Quote
It should be noted that PM Modi had come to Sambhal and laid the foundation stone of the "Kalki Dham" temple in Sambhal:
Quote
Earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the grand Kalki Dham, calling for "Ram Rashtra" and claiming that "Kalki's avatar will determine the course of thousands of years."
End Quote
In other words, this was a carefully orchestrated plan by the Hindu Right.
The judge immediately agreed to the petition and immediately appointed a person to carry out a survey to determine whether the existing and functioning mosque was indeed a temple once. A survey was carried out THE SAME DAY.
But a second survey was ordered for November 24.
The Muslims understood where this was headed - towards a repeat of the Babri Masjid. Tensions built up in Sambhal.
On the day of the second survey, riots erupted. 5 people died and many were wounded.
There's no doubt where this is headed. UP has a BJP government, and we know which way they will lean. The economy of the country is not doing well, and this is the best issue to distract people from the issues that matter.
Keep in mind that, according to Hindu mythology, Kalki is an avatar that hasn't even yet arrived on the earth. This temple is supposed to be the place where he WILL BE BORN.
You don't need a more flimsy excuse to pick a fight.
If this is sufficient to claim a mosque as having once been a temple, there are thousands of temples in North India where Gods are actually supposed to have lived and walked and played and fought.
If the Hindu Right is going to make an issue of every one of these, we will have a thousand fires burning.
Now think of what all this will do to the psyche of the Muslims, who are a 14% minority in India.
To put things in perspective, Sri Lanka has a 11% Tamil minority, and they fought a 30-year civil war.

Did you vote?
I have worked in Mumbai and pune for 5 years of my life.
Of the many friends and colleagues I made there, almost 90% are left leaning if not completely on the lgbtqia2s+ ally or are non-binary themselves.
Of the 18 people i could reach out to, only 1 went for voting.
All these people are 26+. Most being 30.
None of them went out to vote. A few of them at age 3p have never voted in any election in their life. And, again, ALL these people act like such social justice warriors on instagram and twitter but can't move their fucking ass to go vote.
So here i am, asking you, did you vote?
If not then I really want to understand what's stopping you from exercising your democratic right to choose a representative?

This is a leftist sub right?
How is posting about misrepresentation of the dprk's policies in mainstream media considered "defence of a totalitarian regime"? I clearly mentioned that I'm not a fan of the juche ideology but saying baseless bullshit about how they have to have one haircut and how the government decides what clothes they wear without any sort of proof, and also calling them out on "bad policy choices" without knowing the whole fucking story is definitely something the left should be critical about especially considering that nk is the closest thing next to china that symbolises a socialist struggle, not the best but the juche ideology does stem from Marxist-Leninist perception, a country being forced into the limelight of "top 5 evil countries" because they've had to adopt undesirable policies is 100% something we shouldn't blame them for. They don't have the best track record, they've done messed up shit and much more but defending them against misrepresentation based on western propaganda isn't defense of a totalitarian regime. In fact what even classifies as a totalitarian regime according to yall and how does nk fall into it? Having to radicalize a leftist subreddit was not something I thought I would have to do before speaking about US led propaganda that alienates nations and people from that nation.

Let's celebrate the book which kept us united and one since the past 75 years.
Happy 75th Constitution Day!!!
Today is the day when the Constituent Assembly of India, in 1949, adopted the Constitution of India drafted by the drafting committee. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the father of Indian constitution, along with the other members toiled hard for 2 years 11 months and 18 days to form the draft of the Indian Constitution. Original Constitution had 395 Articles and 22 parts. It was the lengthiest constitution of that time and is still today.
To highlight the significance of our Constitution, we should compare it with our neighboring countries, who gained freedom during the same time as India. Sri Lanka, the island country to the south, has changed its constitution 3 times. Same is the situation in other neighbor, Pakistan has changed it 5 times and Nepal has changed it 6 times. Myanmar is under junta (military) and Bangladesh is under turmoil. All these countries have faced intense social and economic problems, have been consistently mired in communal and ethnic problems, have routinely faced coups, and much more.
On the contrast, India stands as shining diamond among the strife ridden countries. India, since the inception of its independence, has had only one constitution. India has never faced the threat of coup nor any threat of imploding. Though India has faced communal and ethnic problem, nothing was as severe as faced by the other countries. India has made some significant progress; economically in the sense that it is the 5th largest economy in the world; socially in the sense that it protects the most marginalized and secures their right to live and dignity; politically in the sense that it gives right to vote for every person regardless of caste, religion, ethnicity, etc.
India was able to be on a path of development and progress because of the Indian Constitution. In spite of being much larger, compared to neighbor, area wise and being much more diverse, India stayed united as a rock. This is the testament of the Indian Constitution which kept India united under one polity. Let's celebrate and pay respect to the constitution on its 75th birthday.
Jai Samvidhan! Jai Bharat!!!

Bareilly bridge accident | Why is no one blaming the govt for negligence?
Context
Everyone is saying how the car fell due to google maps. Why is no one blaming the Govt for not installing barricades/ stop signs on an incomplete bridge?? Why are cars even allowed on the bridge? Is it because it is a "double engine" state where you can't question the gov? This is an incomplete bridge so shouldn't there be warning signs?
